5 Chapter 4

Ever since she was young, Serafall Sitri has been taught how the Devil race were a noble and prideful existence. How they possess overwhelming power without any match. Of how they gallantly rushed to the battlefield and bring glory for their race.

But right now, she can't see any of those glory that was taught to her. There's no glory in war. Just bloodshed, corpses, and all sorts of depravity.

Serafall has a very pure blood running in her veins. She was born a High-Class Devil, evolved into Ultimate Devil within ten years, and evolved into Devil King in ten more years.

At the young age of twenty she was as powerful as the descendants of the original Four Great Devil Kings, and now at the age of seventy, she was confident to defeat those arrogant and conceited jerks.

Unfortunately for her, she got arrogant. When she and her legion were about to go and assist the Dantanlion Clan who are part of Anti-Maou Faction, the House of Lucifuge from Old-Maou Faction, led by Grayfia Lucifuge ambushed them.

Confident of her strength, she decided to confront Grayfia alone and order her legion to retreat because they are severely outnumbered.

Serafall knew that Grayfia was also a Devil King in strength and they should be equal, but she forgot that Grayfia's bloodline was closer to the Original Devil Kings, therefore they are naturally more powerful than average noble devils.

Though she lasted quite awhile, she couldn't beat Grayfia in the end and had to escape. She was chased by Grayfia and other High-Class Devils until she arrived near the infamous Dragon's Nest Mountain Range.

You might ask, why doesn't she just use teleportation magic? Because it takes a lot of time to cast! And with the speed of a Devil King easily reaching Mach 10 while flying, they would catch up to her if she even stopped for a moment and prepare to use it.

The Lucifuge High-Class Devils stopped several miles away from the infamous mountain range, too afraid to get near it knowing whose territory it belongs to.

Grayfia hesitated for a moment before she decided to give chase. Yes, she knew how dangerous the place was, but if she mentions her 'older sister', then that man shouldn't harm her right?

Also, she might give that man a good smack if she have the chance.

"Damn," Serafall used presence concealment spell to absolute limit as she hid in a small cave she found, "I'm heavily injured, I lost my Phenex Tears, and I'm currently in the most dangerous place in underworld. Great. Who ever thought of the words devil's luck is an idiot."

"I disagree."

Serafall was startled by the voice as she felt a powerful demonic power outside. "Dammit! How did she find me so quickly!?"

"Earth Wall!" She slammed her palms on the ground, covering the opening of the cave with a thick and hard wall made of rocks.

"Useless!" With that shout, the wall shattered and the cave started to crumble which forced Serafall to come out.

With her jet-black bat-like wings on full display, she floated in the ever-purple sky of the underworld.

Gritting her teeth, she glared at the silver-haired beautiful devil in front of her who was staring at her with a cold and emotionless face.

"I can't believe I found you this fast, I really do have the devil's luck." Despite her stoic expression, Serafall could feel the mockery from Grayfia's voice.

"Tsk," she clicked her tongue, "Are you an idiot? Do you want to disturb the dragons here? Why did you destroy that cave? What if some dragon used that as a place to rest?"

"From what I heard, the heiress of Sitri clan is a well-mannered and disciplined lady, but from your behavior...not to mention your foul mouth, you don't act like yourself from the rumors." Said Grayfia as a large magic circle materialized behind her.

"We're at war bitch, there ain't no time to act all elegant. Besides we're devils." Serafall spat out, glaring viciously at the other woman.

"Humph." Grayfia gave a cold snort as she raised her hand and countless ice-spikes flew towards Serafall.

"I ain't dying yet!" Mustering her remaining strength, Serafall conjured an enormous wall of ice which blocked the barrage of ice.

Grayfia narrowed her eyes, "A Sitri developing their bloodline magic to the point it changes its nature. You really are a monster like the other three."

Serafall shrugs, "You say that, but you haven't even use your bloodline magic yet."

She took a deep breath and smirks, "Though, that's fine for me. I would wipe the floor with your face even if you use your bloodline magic or not."

"I don't need to use bloodline magic to deal with the likes of you, however, I do want to end this early...so rejoice, I shall let you witness the power gifted by Lucifer himself to our house."

Grayfia raises her hands as a small black orb of massive demonic energy appeared on her palm, and the surrounding area seems like it was being sucked in.

Even Serafall was struggling not to get 'swallowed' by that dark energy.

Lucifuge, a name which means 'to flee from light', and their bloodline magic is very related to their name. To flee from light is to be with the dark, and that is the magic innate to the descendants of Lucifuge house.

"Darkness," Serafall was feeling a bit nervous, scratch that, she was more than nervous, she was terrified! Lucifuge bloodline magic is as scary as Bael's destruction.

It is a dark energy that swallows everything and crushes them from within! No one has been sucked by "darkness" and came out alive, or came out at all! They all died and turned into dusts!

'Fuck! Come on! Come on! If none of you appears I'm saying goodbye to this world!' Serafall screamed internally.

"Get swallowed by the abyss..." Grayfia prepared to fire the black orb and Serafall was already pumping demonic energy on her wings to flee.

"Alright that's enough, you'll cause more damage if you fire this thing." Grayfia's eyes widened when someone grabbed her hands and a female voice sounded behind her.

Looking behind her, she saw a beautiful woman with red hair and blue eyes, wearing a full body suit with golden pauldron and blue cape.

It was Aífe.

"Man, I enjoyed watching your little dance, but if you damage the place more than you already have those guys would hunt you down to the ends of the world you know."

Then, Aífe stared at the black energy on Grayfia's hands, "Damn, that is dangerous. Let's put that out." Under the stunned gaze of Grayfia, Aífe put her hand on the "darkness" and completely erased it.

"Y-You are..." Grayfia narrowed her eyes. She can feel the power emanating from this woman's body - she wasn't even bothering to hide it - and knew that even if she teamed up with Serafall, they have a very miniscule chance of winning.

Same with Serafall, though she really did plan to cause a ruckus to draw out powerful beings that resides here and trick them into fighting Grayfia and escape...but she didn't expect that they would actually draw out a monster.

"Damn, you two really wrecked this place." Aífe whistled, staring at the destroyed scenery.

"It was her." Serafall did not hesitate to point her fingers at Grayfia. "I told her not to, but she wouldn't listen. I swear I've got nothing to do with this."

"Why you-!" Grayfia glared at Serafall and was about to summon her darkness when she turned her gaze back to Aífe who was looking at them with an amused smile.

Grayfia snorted and ignored Serafall.

Aífe clapped her hands, "Alright, you two go and leave this place before the dragons came and decided to end your lives. It would be such a shame, you two have a lot of potential after all."

With that, she turn around and was about to leave when Grayfia called out to her, "W-Wait! There's something I want to ask!"

"Bitch! What are you doing?! She's already letting us go! If you want to die, then go and die alone!" Serafall glared at the white woman.

Grayfia glared back at her and give her a middle finger, much to Serafall's anger and frustration.

"Hm?" Aífe paused and turned around to Grayfia, "What is it?'

"Alciel," she said, as Aífe narrowed her eyes.

Serafall couldn't help but sweat in fear seeing that and she grabbed Grayfia's hands, tugging it and pulling her back, "Just shut your mouth! Let's just leave! See that woman's eyes! She looks like she's about to kill us! Hurry!"

Grayfia ignored her and stared at Aífe, "Alciel Buné. Is he here?"

"Crazy! You're crazy!" Serafall was already on the verge of passing out in fear as she tried to shut Grayfia's mouth.

In fact, she could've just leave alone, but she feared that it would pissed off Aífe even more since Grayfia seems to say something that earned he ire.

Aífe crossed her arms, "He's here. What about it?"

"I want to ask him..." Grayfia took a step forward, "...Why did he abandon my sister?"
