39 Life: 3.1 Heat Up Occult Research Club! : Part 2

After going to the locker room, I was greeted by Matsuda there.

"Hey Ise, what's up?"

"PE teacher told me to take the swimming assessment so I am here to change"

OPEN!

I opened my locker and took out a jacket and swimming suit

"Hey! I will be back in a minute."

After taking a shower and changing into swimming shorts, I went to the locker room, and then, Matsuda said to me with his camera

"Mind if I tag along? I want a few snaps for my club and newspaper"

"You just want to come there and take snaps of girls in swimsuits, right?"

"Hehehehe….I will neither accept nor reject your accusation without the permission of the director!"

"And who this director is supposed to be. Haaa! I am going. Do whatever you want!"

After I went to the swimming club I saw a lot of girls waiting there. I also saw Buchou and Akeno-san watching from far.

This is gonna be troublesome.

"Okay Issei-kun, are you ready"

"Yeah"

ZIP!

I removed my jacket and exposed my bare upper body.

"Woah! Ise that's something new" said Matsuda after seeing my abs.

They weren't like chiseled abs like all muscles, but they were proportionate in short, it was a well-maintained body.

SPLASH!

After completing the assessment I went towards the teacher

"Ise I am surprised you have maintained your body so well. I am impressed"

"Thank you, sir. Can I go now"

"Yes"

After the assessment, I went to the clubroom. When I entered the room, the other members were already there....and some who didn't belong to the club was present as well.

"Student President..."

Yes, the person sitting on the sofa is our school, Kuou Academy's Student-President-sama. Student President is a beautiful and slender female student and has a cold and strict atmosphere around her.

If I looked carefully, there was one other male student besides Kaichou who is from the student council.

"Oh! So you didn't mention us to Hyoudou, Rias-senpai? It's also weird not to notice us when we are Devils as well."

Isn't this the guy who joined the student council recently as a secretary of the council? Kaichou then said it quietly to the secretary guy,

"Saji, it can't be helped because we are not supposed to contact each other at normal times. Also, it hasn't been that long since he became a Devil. Hyoudou-kun is responding like he is supposed to."

Ah! so this is the 'Prison Dragon', I then composed myself and put one of my hand on my chest like a royal greeting and said with a little bow,

"Pardon me. Greetings, Sona Sitri-sama, my name is Issei Hyoudou, a pawn in Rias Gremory-sama's peerage and a servant in the 'House of Gremory'. I am also addressed as 'The Red Dragon Emperor'. It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady. Since you are the student's council president so we will be in your care from now on."

The 'Prison dragon' boy beside her seems to be pissed off from my earlier introduction.

��You guys are getting peaceful school life because Kaichou and us, the Devil servants of Sitri, are working at daytime. It won't be bad for you to remember that you know? By the way, my name is Saji Genshirou. I'm in my second year, and I am Kaichou's "Pawn"."

"Oh! The same year as me! And a pawn as well, good I am looking forward to working with you in the future. We will be in your care then"

"Actually, you damaged my pride very badly. For you, to be the same "Pawn" as me...."

"Probably you didn't do your homework Saji-kun or shall I say [Prison Dragon Vritra]"

Saji made a provoking comment against me, but Kaichou glared at him sharply.

"Saji, stop that."

"The reason we came here is to introduce our new servants amongst fellow High-class Devils where we both have this school as our base. In other words, it is a meeting to introduce you and Rias's servants, Hyoudou-kun and Asia-san. If you are my servant, then don't make a shame out of me. Besides….."

Kaichou then looked at me.

"Saji, you can't win against Hyoudou-kun right now. He is the one who defeated the third son of the house of Phoenix. Consuming 8 "Pawn" pieces was not just for show."

"8 pieces!? Wait, this is the guy who defeated the Phoenix!? For this guy to beat that Raiser….. I thought that it was Kiba or Himejima-senpai who rescued Rias-senpai..."

Then Kaichou bowed her head down.

"I am sorry Hyoudo Issei-kun, Asia Argento-san. My servant hasn't experienced as many battles as you two, so he still has some rude attitude in him. If it's okay, can you please get along with him?"

Kaichou said it to us while smiling. I think you call this a cold smile. I didn't feel anything bad from the smile, so she must be a person who can only smile like this.

"Saji."

"Eh? Ye…yes! Please get along with me....."

Saji also bowed his head down at me reluctantly. He seemed like he wasn't satisfied with it.

"Yes. Let's get along."

Asia replied with a big smile. Asia sure is a good child.

"If it's Asia-san, then I am very happy!"

Kaichou took a sip of green tea and said it with a small voice,

"I love this school. I also think that the work of the student council is worth the effort. That's why I will not forgive those that ruin the peaceful life of this school. Whether they are human or Devils. That applies to you, the people in here, and also Rias."

I understood immediately that those words were directed to us the new Devils which are me, Asia, and Saji. In other words, she will not forgive anyone that ruins the school life. So this person loves this school, Kuou Academy, that much. No wonder she is the Kaichou.

"I think this is enough for introducing our rookies. Then we will pardon ourselves now. There's also a document which I want to finish during lunchtime."

She stood up and said before she left,

"Rias, I will be looking forward to the "Ball Tournament"."

"Yes, me as well."

Buchou smiled back at her. Oh. I understood immediately that these two are really close. Then she could have helped us in the quarrel between the old houses from the previous incident. But then I thought that it's not that simple to put your head inside the problems between High-class Devils. Or did she believe that Buchou would be able to clear the problem herself? Kaichou left the room after saying that.

"Ise, Asia. Get along with Saji-kun. You will also meet the other members of the student council who are Devils but don't fight with them. Since we are all spending our school life at the same school. Okay?"

Buchou said to us while smiling.

"Yes!"

Saji POV~

After we left the ORC I asked Kaichou,

"Kaichou, why did you stop me when I was about to challenge him. Even if I couldn't have won I could have put on a good fight which could be considered as a friendly spar"

"He is too strong Saji. I have been monitoring him and he seemed nothing out of ordinary"

"Isn't that normal"

"Not quite. For a newly reincarnated devil, it would require time for him to get comfortable with his abilities. But he was too smooth and after looking at his performance in the rating game I had a little background check and found out that he was a national kendo player and is a high-class martial artist himself. He would be a celebrity now if he hadn't quit his hobbies a few years back. He may be the best person Rias has in her peerage, her ace in the hole. Also during the rating game, he only used his [Boosted Gear] on Raiser himself, while he defeated his pawns, rook, knight, queen on his own. Also on the event day between Rias and Raiser, he didn't even use his [Boosted Gear] it just took one glace to render Raiser worthless and the flames of the mighty Phoenix clan useless"

"Is he that strong?"

"I can't tell you specifically. But when I try to gauge him, he gave on a completely different vibe. I don't know exactly, but it seems someone strong is training him, by looking at his stance. He was always on guard, he never took his guard off around us. If you had made a move in there then he wouldn't hesitate to restrain you judging by the look in his eyes at that time, possibly in the worst case kill you. He is someone who is best as a friend and worst as an enemy."

"What do you mean by a strong person? Is it someone from SirZechs-sama's peerage?"

"If that was the case then Rias would have told me about it, but... It is just my hunch but he has some other connections in the supernatural world."

���But if that was the case didn't we or the higher-ups know about it"

"Yeah! you are right. It is probably just my imagination. I am thinking too much."
