32 Life 2.3: The decisive battle Begins : Part 1

On the day of the match, we attended school.

In the break, I went to the canteen for having lunch, after lunch, there was still time for the next class to start. I saw a commotion among girls, I glanced at them and the reason for this commotion was Kiba. I took two cans of cold coffee from the vending machine and went towards Kiba.

"Got a minute?"

He just nodded and waved his hand to the girls.

"What is it Ise-kun?"

"Kiba what's your sacred gear exactly?"

"Why ask all of a sudden?"

"No, it's just that I don't know all of the abilities of my peers even after our training session."

"Oh! My sacred gear is [Sword Birth]. I can create any demonic sword."

"Great! Then, Kiba I have a request for you!"

"I will do everything which is in my power."

"Good! Then in tonight's match, I want you to create a strong and sturdy sword for me with ice as its ability. Also, make it such that it can liberate ice spikes since we are against fire. Make it sharp and with a piercing effect. If it's not much then, I would like the blade to be a little sharp at the end and middle portion a little thick."

"Okay, no problem! I will make it for you and give it to you before the game begins."

"Okay. Thanks, Kiba! I appreciate it a lot. Tell me if you ever need anything. I will surely help you."

"Okay!"

Later that night it was 10 pm the game would start at midnight exact, that is, 2 hours later.

I was in my room thinking about what to do next.

Well, no point in overthinking it. I went to the fridge and took a can of beer. It is okay to drink it before the match, right? I asked myself as I took a sip.

We were told to be at least 30 minutes early. I went to Television and watched Dragon Ball for a while. After watching couple of episode, I glanced at my mobile. It was quarter past eleven, I decided to dress up. I wore a grey T-shirt and blue Jeans. With a hooded black jacket on it. I took glasses which I asked Akeno-san to enchant with an effect to hide my [Sharingan]. I don't have that element to surprise anymore, since, I used it on Raiser before. But, you never know maybe he could just forget it.

After reaching there I noticed that I was last to reach the club room. Rias was wearing the usual school uniform, Akeno was wearing a white shrine Kimono, Kiba and Koneko were wearing school uniforms as well just Kiba had leg guard and Koneko had gloves from which her fingers were visible. Asia wore a nun's uniform.

"Oh! I got lost on the path of life. Besides, I am on time it's still 30 minutes before the game starts"

"Ara"

Akeno said with a hand on her cheek and cutely tilted her head. While Rias rolled her eyes.

Kiba comes to me and hands me a sword wrapped in the cloth. I undo the cloth and I saw a double-edged sword.

It was dark blue and had some ice freeze on the blade near the hilt. It had some sort of chilly feeling to it. By analyzing the sword carefully anyone could tell how carefully it was made. When I checked the balance of the sword, it was perfectly balanced. The grip was sturdy and easy to hold as well.

"Here, Ise-kun. I made it in a hurry so there is a chance of it breaking in the game"

"That's more than enough Kiba. I am just keeping this sword as insurance so I can get out of the formation."

I then looked at Buchou. She was there drinking tea with Akeno. Both were calm. I leaned to the wall beside me and waited for the match to start.

[FLASHBACK] After the school ended~

I was with Rias in the club room discussing the strategy. I said,

"First of all Raiser is gonna concentrate on me because of the show of that day. His main motive will be to take me out. Either he will be ganging up on me or will be sending his servants in waves to tire me down. Akeno-san will be busy with the enemy queen. Asia will be with you. Koneko would be intercepted by a [Rook] and a couple of the [Pawns]. Raiser knows what he is doing. So the one that remains is Kiba, but if he is challenged to a duel by the enemy's [Knight] then it would be one on one. He is soft and a man of honor."

"So in the worst-case scenario, you would have to face one [Bishop], a [Rook], a [Knight] and few [Pawns] without any reinforcements"

"Yep. I think they are going to engage all of us at once to avoid the reinforcements. If we lay the traps at the expected locations or lure them out there then the traps may work but, I don't think Raiser would send his servants here to feel into a trap. This time he will be playing with his brain. He is planning to crush us since he gave us 10 days to train."

"Can you take all of them? The ones who come at you?"

"Yep"

"What if you are over numbered?"

"Either way I am going to get overnumbered. For that, I had to ask Kiba to make me a 'special' sword. SO… don't worry!"

"Are you not gonna use your sword?"

"I don't know the exact time, how long this game will last and the sword takes way more energy than any other technique I use or might be using in this game. If only I had a few more days…. I would have thought of using it but now, I am not confident enough."

"Are you sure about this Ise!"

"Absolutely sure. I would definitely make you win at any cost."

I smiled and said

"You will keep your freedom and I promise that"

Present time~

Just a few minutes to the game.

We all are waiting patiently for the game to start.

Then Grayfia-san came and said

"Today your game will be observed by the higher-ups from both families as well as Maou-sama"

"Why's Onii-sama here?"

"Is the current Maou her brother?" I asked Kiba

"Yes. He is strongest among them all having nickname 'Crimson Satan'"

The school bell rang signaling the start of the game and I ran off from the school building

"All the best guys see ya"

I went to where none of my members could see me.

I then summoned my [Boosted Gear]

'Ddraig start Boosting my power to the extreme as I told you before'

[Are you sure about this partner. It would take a huge backlash on your body with what you are trying to accomplish here]

'I know that Ddraig'

"Let them come [Sharingan]"

I took the sword in my right hand.

I calmly walked towards the sports ground. It was the most open area in school I couldn't be easily ambushed there, it doesn't matter either way since I got my [Sharingan]. The reason I chose this place is that it gives me mobility and I am not restricted by my surrounding.

'Come at me'

As expected in just a few seconds I was surrounded by five [Pawns]

"Looks like they assessed me as some big shot to send five [Pawns], a [Knight], a [Rook] and a [Bishop] to stop me"

The remaining servants were shocked as they never expect me to notice them as they were well hidden.

"Raiser-sama told us about your eye but to think that it could see through our perfect camouflage."

"Since you already know about it, then there is no point in hiding"

I removed my glasses and let them slide on the ground from my hand.

As the glasses hit the ground an announcement came.

"Raiser Phoenix-sama's two [Pawn]s and one [Rook] retire"

"Looks like you lost some of your friends"

"You should care more about yourself"

And they attacked me I could easily predict from where their attacks are coming.

'Right, left, up, jump, duck, oh this is new I jumped about few feet and ground beneath me where I was before was implanted with blades which look like kunai knives'

Does he have a ninja among his ranks?

"Rias Gremory-sama's team one [Rook] retire"

"Hmph!" one of the girls smirked.

"I guess it's time to end this"

I punched the ground with all of my might infusing my hand with some demonic energy.

BOOOOM!!

Cracks appeared all over the ground.

I implanted my sword into the crack nearest to me and let my demonic energy flow into the sword wildly.

SHING!

Numerable spikes of ice immerged from the cracks while I am in the center.

PIERCE!

Two of the [Pawn]s received some damage on getting pierced by ice spikes.

They looked at me with hatred.

"Be damned into your worst nightmare [Coercion Sharingan]"

My [Sharingan] rotated and the genjutsu took effect.

The ones who were affected by it were five [Pawn]s and a [Bishop] who were closest to me, the [Bishop] was far beyond the range of the attack. But the ice spikes reflected my [Sharingan] and she was caught in the genjutsu as well.

"Raiser-sama's five [Pawn]s retire"

"It just took a few seconds to break their spirit to fight?"

"DAMN YOU!"

The [Rook] came charging towards me.

"[Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique]"

She froze in her position.

"I am the [Knight] of Raiser-sama. I ask you for a fair duel"

"I am not a fan of 'fulfilling the requests' but I make an exception for you. Hope you could withstand my first strike"

I took out the implanted sword from the ground and took a stance.

"Let's go"

DASH!

She said and dashed towards me

Currently, I am damned pissed off. So you better don't get in my way.

"[Afterglow]"

SWISH!

"Raiser-sama's one [Knight] retire"

With that, the [Knight] behind me vanished into particles of light. The last attack was based only on speed. The sword was sharp enough to break her defense. That was easy. As I was thinking this an announcement resounded in my ears.

"Rias-sama's [Queen] retire"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Your guard is down"

The [Rook] who wore mark came running towards me.

I guarded it with my sword but it broke.

'Ddraig can you do something'

[Dragon Booster!!]

'What's that Ddraig?'

[Dragon Booster Second Liberation!]

The shape of my gauntlet changed and another crystal appeared behind it.

'Ddraig did we lost all the boosted power we gathered up until now?'

[It's an update, partner, not a reset]

'Got it'

"That's good [Rook]-san. Don't blame me for what happens next."

Time to switch up the gears.

"Farewell [Chidori]"

CHIIIII~

In a flash of an eye, I pierced the heart of the [Rook] and dashed towards the [Bishop]

"Raiser-sama's one [Rook], one [Bishop] and one [Knight] retires"

Looks like Kiba did his job.

Looking around the corner, I see Kiba coming towards me.

"Ise-kun you took all of them by yourself!"

I just smiled

"Let's go we don't have time"

Earlier I received a message from Asia that they are going to take on Raiser. I dashed towards the enemy's stronghold as did Kiba who was running behind me.

Damn this is the first time I am fighting this much. The demonic sword zapped away most of my demonic energy. I hope my stamina holds up till the end.

As I was thinking about conserving my stamina, a strong gush of wind hit my back followed by a sound….
