Annoying sister

Upon hearing that voice, Wu Mao suddenly became more alert. He wanted to put up his guard but a ball of fur pounced onto Wu Mao face before he could act.

He didn't even bother extracting the animal - more precisely a cat - from his face as he was all to familiar with what was going to happen next. Besides, he had never won against that cat.

"Relashio" the shrill voice from before rang again, this time more crisply.

The animal immediately released his hair and was whisked back into its owner's arms. It was a Siamese cat with haunting stormy grey eyes similar to its owner. She was a svelte figure wearing Hogwart's robes with yellow lining, showing that she was a senior student from Hufflepuff. Furthermore, if one ignored her dark grey eyes, Wu Mao bore an uncanny resemblance to her.

"Fluffy how can you forget about me once you see Mao Mao?" she admonished.

"I told you not to use that nickname, sis", Wu Mao could not help but scrunch his brows and lower his voice. He felt a headache approaching.

"Why not, I think it suits you" she said while she endearingly rubbed his head after silently casting an immobulus spell on him.

While Wu Mao expected this to happen, reality still felt worse. He sighed inwardly, giving up any thought of recovering his image today.

'As expected, I still can't match her casting speed without the necessary equipment' he decided to analyse what had happened and be more prepared for the next time.

Meanwhile the platform had turned silent before a wave of mummurs started to emerge. "Isn't she Wu Zhen, the Hogwarts representative for the upcoming Triwizard Cup?"

"Yes even though she's from Hufflepuff and a half-blood her skills are good, especially her silent magic".

"I can't believe her brother is joining this year, what an outstanding batch of freshman"

"Yup I heard that the two preceding year champions Dom Slaw and Ellise Potter have siblings entering this year too"

"Wow and there'll be those exchange students from SparkTech as well"

"Those exchange students definitely won't be able to match up to these powerhouses. How can they be good in magic if they chose to pursue tech?"

It would have been difficult for a normal person to listen to all the rampant gossip. However, Wu Mao's robot Peggy had an extremely sensitive and intelligent sound system, detecting every sentence before processing it and transmitting the key gist to Wu Mao once he commanded it to.

Wu Mao's lips drew into a thin line upon receiving this information. It seemed that the attitude of the students resembled that of the wizarding community - that magic is superior to technology and they can't coexist. He would need to put in a lot more effort to change that.

Didn't post a chapter yesterday cause I had to work overtime. Anyway there is no longer a chance for me to get into the top 5 so no pressure to vote.

Hope you enjoy it!
