2 Kathy

Hi, I'm Kathy and I want to tell you about my high school experience.

I attend Westwood High. I really like the school because all my best friends attend there. Now time to hear about my high school experience.

I get to school and immediately I see my four best friends, Adrian, Cal, Josiah and Alex. I love all of them. Onto the story.

{This story talks about having a one-sided crush on a best friend}

Since Josiah and I have been friends since we were little kids, I've always liked him. We did everything together. Exams, movies, and helping each other when we were sad. We were always by each other's side. I loved that we told each other everything.

In class, we would goof around and sometimes I would get him in trouble and sometimes he would get me in trouble, but I didn't mind. I spent more time with him which made my feelings become even stronger.

In high school my feelings for him got amplified even more and I was waiting for the day I could tell him that I like him. At this time in high school, I met my other best friends, Cal, Adrian, and Alex. We became close very quickly. We even took the same bus going home. It was like fate.

After getting used to the new school, Alex and Adrian became busy with after-school activities. After school, Alex had afterschool and Adrian had to go to the gym so it would be just me and Josiah afterschool. This was every day after school, just me and Josiah. Until he got onto the basketball team and I could no longer take the bus with him. I was now alone and that made me sad but at least I would be able to see him in the morning. That kept me happy.

In the morning we would laugh about stuff and share how our day was. It felt as if we were already dating. One time he saved me from getting run over by a bike and we both fell onto the floor and I fell on top of him. I literally just had no words. My heart was beating out of my chest. However, I think, he felt awkward since I stayed like that for a while until he asked me to get up off him

After a month of keeping my feelings to myself, I decided to tell him how I felt and hopefully, we would go out. He asked me to come out because he had some news. This was it. I was going to tell him. We met in the park and we sat on the swing and we both said we had something to say and I told him to go first.

He hesitated at first but then he came out with a big smile on his face and I just couldn't help to blush because he was just so cute. He then said that he now had a girlfriend and that it was Alex.

I was at a loss for words, I put on a smile and told him that was good. He deserved to be happy. But inside I was crying, and I just couldn't say anything else. He saw the sad look on my face and asked what the news was I wanted to tell him, but I couldn't say it anymore. What good would that do, it's not like he would break up with Alex if he knew I liked me. I wasn't even sure if he liked me. At least I can stay by his side for the rest of my life.

And that is how my one-sided crush continued. Being in love with my best friend and watching from the side as he fell in love with someone else. If he were happy, I would be happy.

That is my high school experience.
