1 Chapter One

Riana is a sixteen years old girl and today is the best day of her life because she was going to High School. She had heard so many things about high school and she couldn't wait to find out if everything she heard was true.

She packed her bags as she waited for her driver to come pick her up. She went downstairs to the sitting room with her luggage

Her dad, Maxwell walked into the mansion with his wife, Lisa.

Riana who was dreaming about the wonders and beauty of High School was completely oblivious to her parents presence until she heard the sound of her driver's car horn. "He's here", she screamed running towards the door. But, her race was cut short by her dad's stern voice, "Didn't you notice us?" he asked. Riana apologized for her behavior. Her dad turned to his wife, "She hasn't even left and she has forgotten about us". Lisa smiled. Riana hugged her parents. "I'll never forget you guys. I promise", she said and kissed them. The car horn hooted again. "Okay guys, bye". "Take care of yourself", that was Lisa.

The drive to United Nations High was a long one and Riana got tired and irritated. She felt like throwing up and she did only after telling her driver to stop the car. She got out and threw up. Lincoln, who was her driver gave her water to rinse her mouth. Riana was not the type that loves riding in cars. It suffocates her. "Could you get a motorcycle for me. I can't go further in this car" she said. Lincoln smiled. I was not your driver all these years for nothing" he said and pointed at a motorcycle opposite the side of the road. "It is your parents gift to you" he continued. 'Her parents.....so thoughtful' Riana thought. "Wait..... how did you know the right spot to keep it?" she asked Lincoln. "Like I said, I was not your driver all these years for nothing. The drive to United Nations High is 1km/hr and it is a 2km distance from home, so, I kept the motorcycle 1km away from your house" he replied intelligently. Riana was impressed. "Thanks" she said and wondered why she thanked him. He ought to know her well. He was her driver since Kindergarten. A short minute of silence passed through. Riana broke it. "So how about we have a little race", she said. She crossed to where the car was parked and said to Lincoln, "let's see who is faster. Me or you?". She put on her helmet, "See ya", she said and zoomed off while Lincoln followed behind.
