15 Star attraction technique

The day before departure...

Leto was sitting in his garden, cross-legged with eyes closed. The moon was shining down with silver light, giving his tranquil garden mystical, mesmerizing look.

''Then that's settled. I'll be training in the star attraction technique.'' He decided.

He once again closed his eyes, turning into a statue. Breathing in a set pattern, his chest heaved up and down ever so slightly.

Moments later, his figure was enveloped in faint silver light, originating from the moon. Inscrutable minuscule silver particles were slowly drifting in his direction, ultimately being absorbed in his flesh.

2 hours later, he opened his eyes, which now glimmered with silver light.

Once again opening his status, as expected, he saw two new sections appearing.

Cultivation technique: Star Attraction technique

Stardust: 100

Having reached the Celestial realm in his former life, he knew quite a bit about stars.

This technique made it possible to draw power from stars. It was technically only borrowing their power, but even so, it was incredibly useful.

The Stardust was a type of astral energy, which could be stored in his body and used to display star power.

Moon was naturally the closest celestial entity, so it was easiest to draw its energy. Regrettably, other than the sun and the moon, other stars were pretty far. According to the distance, the difficulty of drawing stardust got harder and harder. Besides, from each star, only a set amount of stardust could be absorbed.

Leto could no longer absorb any more Stardust from the moon.

As he reached the limit of this particular star, he got the corresponding skill.

Grinning, his eyes turned completely silver like a true celestial being.

'Moonlight Tiara!'

The bright silver crown appeared on his head.

This was the skill originating from linking with the moon.

The tiny dormant Stardust particles glimmer in his body with silver light, empowering him.

He felt excited to be able to use this skill again.

Unfortunately, 3 minutes later, the silver light faded from his eyes and his crown also dissipated into silver particles before vanishing.

Sighing, he chewed crystal berries, feeling his lost spirit recover bit by bit.

Raising one's spirit was incredibly difficult. There were only a rare amount of items capable of raising or even restoring it.

Spirit determined soul power and was directly linked with one's potential.

Star attraction technique exhausted spirit.

After recovering, Leto continued pondering over how to increase his strength before leaving for the dangerous Scrying Forest.

Taking out his crossbow, Leto admiringly examined it. It was capable of automatic fire and was pretty strong. The soldiers wielding this type of crossbows were capable of turning even top body tempering expert into a honeycomb.

It would do well to aid him in his journey.

''Ah,'' Leto exclaimed as an idea popped into his mind.

Suddenly, he focused his mind on the arrow planted in the crossbow. A strange thing happened. The arrow appeared to be slightly quivering, yet it wasn't really moving. It was truly bizarre.

''It works.'' Leto almost jumped crazily in joy.

He was still capable of applying the Dao he had learned in his previous life even in his small realm.

It was rapidly burning his internal energy though. Though internal energy was eternal, it couldn't be endlessly abused. Some more complicated actions were capable of exhausting it.

*Pow

The arrow flew from his hand and pierced through 3 trees in a row before embedding in the last one.

It had to be said, the trees he had transformed had their trunk toughness increased quite a bit.

For a normal arrow, it was already a miracle to have pierced halfway into such a tree.

Leto grinned from ear to ear.

In his previous life, he had learned a minor Dao of Motion.

The world never stopped moving. Even when something was immobile, it was always moving in space and time. Applying motion Dao to something was like giving it inexhaustible power.

To make a comparison, if let's say an arrow had the power of 100 points, it would hit the target. The resistance would lower its power before it was exhausted.

As for the arrow applied with Dao of motion would continue to maintain power points of 100 until his internal energy ran out.

Basically, it was like comparing the straight attack of the rod and the attack of the drill, which constantly ground its target with inexhaustible power.

Dao of motion was only a minor Dao, yet it was quite powerful with its incredible piercing abilities, but it was already a great aid for currently a mortal like him to use it.

Remembering the experts with incredibly powerful Daos from his previous life, Leto couldn't help but sigh. Some people, he could only look up to.

''Well, I still have my soul-bound treasure.'' Every time he felt depressed about his power, or rather, the lack of it, he would always reassure himself with that.

His soul-bound treasure was capable of miracles...only costing equal price.

Going through his memories, he decided to learn 'Shooting technique.'

300 Vitality essence was immediately deducted, making his heart bleed, but there was no way around it.

Though 'Shooting technique' started off as 1st level mortal grade skill, but it could be upgraded later.

Besides, this skill would help him maximize his power with a crossbow at his level.

As soon as he learned it, he felt familiarity with the crossbow in his hand, like he was a veteran using it for a long time.

His dexterity and accuracy increased spontaneously.

He shot three consecutive arrows at desired trees as targets with fast motion of his hands. He was pleasantly surprised to have hit 2 of them, while the third was slightly off.

''Well, it's good enough.'' He nodded and decided to call it a day.

Though his flesh power wasn't at even 1st level of body tempering yet, he could still display amazing power with the help of his internal energy, Dao of motion, Star skill, crossbow, shortsword and of course, vitality essence, which could also be used to boost his power in emergencies, though, he'd prefer not to waste it, as gathering it was always a pain.

His maids would prepare his rations and clothing, so currently he had nothing to worry about. He decided to sleep in his garden under the moonlight.

'Ah, I'll miss this place.' He thought as he drifted to sleep. Soon, light snoring could be heard coming from him.
