160 Chapter 160: Mind-Read Countering

The next day, when Issei Hyoudou arrived at school, nothing seemed out of place. Inside his classroom, another student was sitting at the desk that Yuma/Raynare used last time and everyone was going on with the start of their days like normal. Issei watched as his female friend, Aika Kiryuu, arrived as normal too and, after saying her greetings to some of the girls from the class, walked to where Issei was.

"Good morning, Issei."

Aika greeted Issei, like usual

"Good morning, Aika."

Issei replied, as usual too. After that, Aika asked him some questions about his weekend, to which Issei replied and asked back the same questions. Classes started and finished as usual too. No anomalies happened and as Valerie had told him, no one seemed to remember a student called Yuma Amano.

As the last class finished and every student was storing their belongs, Issei waited for the promised person that would get him to have his answers while organizing his questions inside his head. It was then that he heard a commotion coming from outside the classroom. Issei looked up in the direction where the door was and a bunch o girls swooning. Seconds later, the reason for all swooning appeared at the doors. It was Yuuto Kiba, the school's prince, and knight that was a student from class 2A. Issei looked at the scene with some apathy. Last year, during his year as freshman, he used to hate Yuuto Kiba because of his good looks and the way that all girls behaved around him. But now? Now he had no more feelings of that kind for the boy and thought him to be a little gay too, since with all girls running after him, even older ones, there was no gossip whatsoever of him dating anyone, only rejections after rejections.

"Issei Hyoudou?"

Issei heard the 'pretty boy' saying. Immediately all girls in class snaped their faces to look at Issei, making the boy 'gulp' in front of the sudden pressure.

"Yes?"

Issei asked uncertainly.

"The president of my club wishes to speak with you."

Yuuto Kiba said, making Issei's head start to race to work with all the information that he had about the boy.

'Yuuto Kiba, student of class 2A, straight 'A' student, Prince and Knight of the school, good enough with a sword in his hands to beat everyone from the kendo club, but not as good as Tsubaki Shinra, member of the Occult Research Club, which is presided by Rias Gremory…'

As Issei finished his 'passing over' of all the information about the pretty boy, he slowly nodded his head in agreement.

"Please, follow me then."

Yuuto Kiba said to him and walked out of the class to wait for Issei, who stood up and walked his way out of the class. As he walked, Issei started to hear the girls in his class starting to murmur between them. Afraid of what would be said about him and Yuuto Kiba, Issei looked at Aika to try and get some help in controlling the gossip, but his hopes were crushed in an instant. On Aika's face was a perverted smile and if one looked with attention, one could see some dribble on the corner of her mouth. Issei's face blanched at that as he knew what kind of thought had to be going through her head to cause that kind of reaction. Giving up on a lost cause, Issei only accepted his destiny and walked out of the classroom.

Outside, seeing that Issei had exited, Yuuto Kiba started to walk in silence with Issei following. Inside his head, Issei was again going through all the information that he had about Yuuto Kiba's club or its president at that.

'Rias Gremory, student of class 3A, one of the four school's big sisters, long blood-red hair, aloof personality. Her sizes are ninety-nine centimeters of bust, fifty-eight centimeters of the waist, and ninety centimeters of hips. Yep. Rias Gremory is, definitely, a bombshell girl.'

Issei thought as he walked behind Yuuto Kiba, dreaming of taking a nap while using Rias Gremory's boobs to rest his head. A few minutes later, both boys reached the old school building, which was the headquarters for the Occult Research Club. It was just them that Issei remembered another thing about the club. The students who were part of it. Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, Yuuto Kiba, Gasper Vlad, and Valerie Tepes. The last two were the ones that had saved him the day before. It was then that it all clicked inside his head.

'... Someone will get you at the end of classes tomorrow. All your questions will be answered then…'

Issei 'flashbacked' the scene inside his head, remembering her words and concluding that Yuuto Kiba had called him here because of what Valerie Tepes had said to him yesterday. As he finished his internal mumblings and conclusions, Issei stopped in his tracks. Yuuto Kiba had stopped too and was waiting by a big double door made of solid wood. The pretty boy then knocked on the door and waited.

"Enter."

Replied a feminine voice from inside. Yuuto Kiba then opened the door and entered, inviting Issei to follow him with a movement from his head. As Issei entered the room and looked around, the first thing that came to his mind was the word 'luxury'. Everything, from the carpets on the ground, to the paintings on the wall and the furniture, looked like something taken from the movie set of a European movie, just more real. In other words, expensive. As an awed Issei looked around, he noticed too the students that were already inside the room. There was Valerie Tepes and Gasper Vlad, who were still in their school uniform with Gasper cuddling to Valerie's side, Akeno Himekima, who was preparing tea with a tea seat that was on top of a tea cart, and Yuuto Kiba, the pretty boy that he had followed here and was now attaching a sheathed sword to the side of his hip. Issei raised an eyebrow at that last one and stood in place looking at it.

"Take a seat, Issei Hyoudou, the President will come in an instant."

Issei heard the melodious voice of Akeno Himejima saying to him. The boy nodded his head and took a seat on the empty sofa while continuing to look at the sheathed sword attached to Yuuto Kiba's side.

"Is that a real sword?"

Issei asked Yuuto Kiba, who nodded his head at that.

"Yes. As a knight, I have to keep my weapon of choice by my side during all times."

Yuuto Kiba replied to issei while walking to a wall that was opposed to the entrance and then took a guarding instance. Issei's eyebrow raised again at that. The pretty boy was taking his school title of knight a little too seriously to him.

"Tea, Issei?"

Akeno Himejima asked the boy, taking him out of his thoughts.

"Ah, yes. Please."

Issei replied to the school's Yamato Nadeshiko, who took one of the teacups from the set and served it to Issei. It was them that he heard a feminine giggle coming from the opposing sofa. Issei looked at it and saw that it was Valerie Tepes who was giggling.

"What made you laugh, Valerie?"

Gasper asked the 'Princess', very interested in it.

"Just found it funny what Hyoudou thought about Yuuto."

Valerie replied to Gasper, getting him interested again while continuing to look at Valerie, waiting for the girl to say more. Issei looked at the girl as if waiting to hear her say what he was thinking about the pretty boy. Valerie smiled at that.

"He thought that Yuuto is taking his title of the school's knight too seriously to have a real sword attached to his hip's side."

Valerie said to Gasper, making the boy let out a girly giggle at the irony of the thought. Akeno Himejima giggled too a what Valerie had revealed while Yuuto Kiba, the titled school's knight, just raised an eyebrow at it. Issei's reaction was very different. He was shocked. What Valerie Tepes had just said was exactly what he was thinking about.

"H-How did you… ?"

Issei sputtered while holding the teacup that Akeno Himejima had given to him in the middle of the way to his mouth. Valerie tepes, the school's princess, looked at Issei and smiled mysteriously.

"It will all be answered with time, Hyoudou. Just have to wait for the President to arrive."

The blonde girl said to Issei, who slowly nodded his head in agreement and tried to enjoy the tea in his hands. The aroma coming from it was amazing. Slowly and with help of the amazing tea, Issei's shock disappeared. It was then that he heard a sound that he was not expecting to hear in the kind of room that he was in.

*shhh*

For Issei, it sounded like the sound of a shower and that got him thinking again.

"It is a shower, Hyoudou. President Rias loves to take baths and she always takes one after classes."

Valerie explained to Issei as if hearing the doubts inside his head. The boy dumbly and slowly nodded his head in understanding. That is until he noticed what had just happened, making him snap his head and look at Valerie, who was drinking her tea with a small smirk on her face and looking at him. Again, she had 'read' his mind, this time replying to a question that he had. A doubt again appeared inside his head, this time it was the likelihood of the blonde girls having the ability to read the mind of other people. Again, as if hearing Issei's mental question and deduction, Valerie's smirk grew a little more in size. And Issei had seen it, confirming his theory about the blonde girl. It made sense and matched with the club of which she was part. Mins reading was considered something linked to the Occult.

It was then that an idea for a little revenge surged inside Issei's head. Issei looked at Valerie again and smirked. He watched as it took only a few seconds for the blonde girl, who was looking in his eyes, to have her smirk erased from her face. Valerie Tepes quickly broke eye contact with Issei and looked to the side while madly blushing.

'Yes!'

Issei celebrated inside his head. It seemed that his little revenge plan had worked very well against the blonde. What Issei had thought was that if she could really read his thoughts, then he would just have to 'feed' her whatever he wanted for her to see. And what would be better to embarrass a 'mind-reading little girl' than some of the memories of one of the excessive steamy makeout sessions that he had with Aika last summer that ended with both of them in a sixty-nine position? Yeah, that would teach Valerie Tepes to not read his mind.

While Issei enjoyed his little victory and focused back on enjoying his tea, the shower noise ceased. Soon after, Rias Gremory entered the room while already wearing her uniform and drying her wet red hair with a towel, getting the full attention of Issei's eyes. When the redhead saw Issei looking at her, she smiled at him and walked to her office desk.

"I see that you are already comfortable, Hyoudou."

Rias Gremory said as she took a seat behind her desk. Akeno Himejima was already walking to her while pushing the tea cart and started serving Rias a cup of tea.

"Ah… Yes. The sofa is very comfortable while the tea is excellent."

Issei replied to Rias Gremory, praising the furniture and Akeno's tea. The 'Yamato Nadeshiko' smiled at the tea part. She liked to make tea very much and loved when people praised her tea-making abilities. Rias Gremory smiled at that reply. She knew that Issei Hyoudou had already won the approval of her Queen with just that comment.

Rias Gremory sipped her tea a let out a sigh of relief that resembled a lot one of the moans that issei had heard coming from Aika.

"Ah~ Nothing beats a good tea after a good bath. Thank you, Akeno. Your tea is amazing as always."

Rias Gremory said, praising her Queen's skills. Akeno Himejima smiled again at the praising and stood by Rias's side, behind the desk. Putting down the teacup, Rias Gremory looked at Issei.

"So, I understand that you have some questions for us, Issei Hyoudou."

Rias Gremory said to Issei, who nodded his head in confirmation of her words.

"Before you ask your questions, let me ask you something, Issei Hyoudou. Do you believe in the supernatural?"
