1 Where are you?

She stood there waiting for the news in the television. Located at the top of the 40-story building, she exuded the aura of a Queen. Except that this Queen has thick-rimmed glasses hiding her beautiful lashes. Her luscious black hair sways side by side as she slowly tilts her head showing her impatience as she grits her teeth. Her white jumpsuit and black stilettos added an effect of distinct sassiness in this tall curvy woman in her early twenties.

After a while, the door opened and a chubby small woman entered. She was about 30 years old. The way the little woman walked screamed sophistication even if she has a little bit more curves than needed.

"Well? " The woman in the shadows asked without turning her back.

The chubby woman's stance shivered a little and answered politely, "Your husband is about to announce his decision on air tonight Ma'am, "

The Queen snickered. Just like him, she thought to herself.

"You know what to do. " Her smile concealed the evil smirk forming from her nude lips.

"Yes, Ma'am. " she bowed to the Queen and was about to leave the office when a series of footsteps were rushing towards the office.

"Madame, " the small woman asked.

The tall woman quickly grabbed a lying black coat on the swivelchair in front of her and walked towards the chubby one.

Her smile became friendly. Her jumpsuit looked ordinary with the black coat on top. She grabbed the documents on a coffee table in the middle of the office and adjusted her eyeglasses.

"You may now take your seat Mrs. Stone. " she sweetly gestured to the chubby woman to sit on the CEO's chair which she came from.

When the chubby woman smiled, straightened her back, and sat on the chair, the atmosphere between them changed instantly. The tables have turned.

When the doors opened, all the visitors turned to the secretary on the center of the office.

"Good evening. Welcome to Stones Inc., I am Maia. How may I assist you? " The nerdy looking tall woman gently said to the visitors not hinting any change of air that just happened a while ago.

There were three men and one woman who have entered the CEOs wide office. All of them looked at Maia and then to the chubby woman in the CEOs chair. The woman who entered with the men handed Maia a brown folder and asked, "We are here for our appointment with Mrs. Stone. Can we go talk to her now?"

The secretary gave a polite smile and moved aside giving them the opportunity to walk to the CEO. And then she went out of the office.

Just as they were about to approach Mrs. Stone, the phone on her desk rang.

"Where are you? " boomed the man on the other end of the line.

"Office. " Mrs. Stone answered flatly. This chubby woman looked at the people who have just entered the office and gestured for them to take their seats.

"I'll be coming home. " It wasn't a welcome-me-back kind of call from a loving husband. For her, she felt like it was a threat, a warning. A sudden flash passed by her eyes.

"Oh, then I'll be preparing for dinner. " she answered sweetly not being affected by the deep tone of the other person on the end.

"Mhmm... " After murmuring his good-bye, the call ended.

" So, where were we? " Mrs. Stone asked her visitors.
