1 Prologue

The maid didn't mean to hear the king speaking to his friends in a quiet and urgent manner. She was putting the King's clothes in the dressing room, when the King himself and his companions barged into the King's chambers.

"If this prophecy become true, it will be the end of all of us!" King Seth said.

"Seth, if we take action now, we can still prevent it." Someone said.

"Jopekas you idiot, if we prevent the prophecy, another one will be made!" King Seth said. "Damn. There is literally nothing we can do to prevent this from happening."

"We can try one thing." A different, raspy voice called out.

"And what would that be Hisalophi?" Seth asked.

"The first part, 'A king shall fall at the tyrants hand' if none of us take action against another kingdom, the prophecy will not take action." Hisalophi said, her raspy voice sending chills down the Maid's back.

"Yes your right, but then what do we do? If we delay it, the prophecy could change." Jopekas said.

"That is the wonder about the future." A new voice called out. It sounded wise and old, out of place with these tyrants.

"What do you mean wizard?" Hisalophi asked.

"I mean, the future is not set in stone, unlike the past. It can be changed, but we must be careful about it." The wizard said. "For instance, the line, 'The children raised by the dying storm shall lead the way' if we find this dying storm, we can take the children, and raise them to help us."

"But how do we find a dying storm? Storms never stay, they come and go!" Seth said.

"It may be referring to a magical beast, or magic user, like myself." The wizard said. "But the Storm Dragon was killed at my hand, and many other storm creatures are fickle things, and not that intelligent."

"So we are looking for a magic user." Jopekas said.

"Indeed we are. What are your thoughts, Emperor Compalisla?" Hisalophi asked.

"We have an eavesdropping servant in the closet." A high and mighty voice said.

The maid gasped as she tried to find another way out. The door to the dressing room opened, and an invisible force dragged her back into the King's chambers. The maid cried in fear as she looked up to see the cruelest people to ever live.

"Have fun with her, Hisalophi." A cloaked figure sitting on a throne of bones said.

"Yes, your Excellency." A snake woman rasped as she picked the maid up by the throat and dragged her out of the room.

The cloaked man stood up as the others in the room kneeled. He walked over to a table and picked up a scroll.

'A king shall fall at the tyrants hand'

'The jester will make his final play'

'The Glutton shall feed the dragon's maw'

'Sins of the past shall rise once more'

'As the lover's death kills them all'

'Born from mystery and power'

'The children trained by the dying storms shall lead the way'

'As a savoir takes their final breath'

"This is truly the end." He said, as the screams of the maid echoed throughout the castle.
