2 DreamScape

Aaron didn't know what was happening. He was falling. Until he wasn't. He slowly came to a haunt mid air. Was he mid air? He couldn't tell. Aaron opened his dark blue eyes and he look around. He was in a field of stars. "Wha-"

"I don't have much time" a ghostly bird stated urgently. She was long and thin, with a pointy facial structure.

"Who-"

"Not important. What is important, is this." She said, flying forwards. Aaron bounded after the bird, which appeared to be a raven. Everything felt dreamy. He looked around, still confused. Aaron appeared to be in space. Splashes of dark blues and purples mixed with small amounts of vibrant pink. Stars glistened in the distance, never seeming to get any closer. The two arrived at a mound of boulders and rocks

"How are there boulders in-"

"It doesn't matter. Now help" the female raven demanded before starting to move the rocks. Aaron heard muffled voices coming from inside the mound. Not knowing what else to do, he began moving the rocks and boulders. "Faster, we don't have much time! I'll explain after they're free!"

"Who??!" Aaron shouted. There was a loud ringing in his ears and the voices were now more like roses instead of whispers. Aaron moved another boulder and a small pebble fell. Suddenly hundreds of ghostly figures came rushing out of the small hole and into him. He felt like he couldn't breath and the noise was overpowering.

"Aaron! Aaron focus on my voice!" The raven called, but he could barely hear her. The small wolf tried to do what she said, and slowly he came out of that almost dead state.

"What... what was that?" He asked, panting frantically

"Spirits of magic" the raven explains calmly.

"What?" Aaron asked, confused.

"Long ago, Oppidum Woods was blessed with magic." The raven began. "That was, before a mysterious group came and stole that magic. Anyone who objected to this disappeared. Never to be seen again. We stopped telling our children about magic. The group left and quickly as the appeared. This was our last chance to give our town the magic it once had. You've been chosen to help us" she said, standing up on the non existent ground. Aaron took a step back.

"What!? Why me?!? How can I even believe you!!?" He yelped.

"You came to the meteor first. Once you wake up, try to do something with your mind. Make leaves rustle or make rain fall." She said, calmly still.

"I don't even know your name! Why should I trust you?!?" He shouted. Aaron wanted to act tough, but he was scared. Really. Really scared.

"I'm Athena."

Aaron sat up, panting. He whipped his head around, confused. 'What was that?' He thought, still in shock. "How long was I out?" Aaron asked, breaking the silence. He could feel almost all of the senior year's eyes burning into his pelt. Before he knew it he was wrapped in a tight hug.

"Never do that again you asshole!" Blake yelled at him sternly.

"How long was I out though?" He asked again, returning his friend's hug.

"About 15 seconds." Domino answered, flicking her tail once.

'Felt a lot longer than that...' Aaron thought before smiling sheepishly. "Th-"

"What on earth were you thinking! You could have died!" The pretty she-cat yowled, lashing her tail.

"Well I'm not." Aaron countered

"That's not the point, fleabrain. You worried everyone!" She scolded, her black and white fur puffed up.

Aaron was getting pretty mad now. " look. I didn-" his words were cut off by a scream and the scent of smoke. He looked on in horror as a random deer's tail caught on fire. She ran around, screaming in pain and fear. Aaron realized with a jolt that he had did that. It was his fault. He had to fix it. Before he even knew what was happening snow was fluttering down from the sky. Everyone stood shocked. The fire on the deer's tail went out and she calmed down. The whole group was looking around panicked. This never happened to them before. Suddenly a twig snapped and all heads whirled around in that direction.

"Look. We just want the powered up one. No one else needs to get hurt" a deep, male voice called from the shadows. "We're armed. Don't try to pull anything"

Aaron looked around, and everyone else seemed to be doing that too. "We'll give you to the count of three to give us the powered up." A different voice spoke. Aaron didn't know who they were talking about, but he wanted to make sure no one died. But maybe he did know. Maybe he knew and didn't want responsibility if anyone did die.

"1."

He looked around frantically, trying to figure something out where no one would get hurt.

"2"

No no no... he was running out of time. He needed to do something, but what?

"3"

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck....

"Looks like you all chose wrong" a mysterious voice said before screams were heard. Bodies dropped dead on the floor and whoever wasn't dying was running. Aaron bolted, going as fast as he could for as long as he could. He could smell blood and hear screams. The sound of gunshots and arrows flying ripples through the air. Blake was side by side with Aaron as they ran from the scene as fast as possible. The small brown wolf stopped running. He had an idea.

"Go on Blake."

"Are you crazy?! You'll die!"

"Yeah well I didn't die last time-"

"Aaron please. This is much different than the meteor. If you die, I'll never forgive myself. I... I'll..."

"Good, cause I won't die. But you need to leave right now."

"B-"

"Blake do you trust me?" Aaron asked, looking him in the eyes, dead serious. Fear plagued his voice but he managed to somehow get his point across.

"Stay safe" Blake muttered before running away into the shadows. At the same time paw steps were running towards him. He whirled around, terrified out of his mind.

"Ge-" a mysterious wolf began, but his words were cut short by water circling his head. The wolf soon fell limp, having drowned. Aaron looked at the body in shock. He killed a man. But he deserved it... right? Right. The other 2 figures stopped to stare at their fallen comrade. There was an elk and a bengal cat.

"I'll kill you two as well" he threatened, puffing up his fur. The two looked at each other and grinned.

"I'd like to see you try." The female Bengal mewed maliciously. The two mysterious animals kept at him.

Aaron didn't even know what he was doing. He just knew that he was fighting, soon enough two more bodies were on the ground. Aaron ran. As fast as he could, back to the home he knew. He ran into his room, took off his bracelet and lad on his bed, staring at his ceiling, trying to make sense of everything that happened. He should have felt bad about murdering 3 people. But he didn't. He felt like they deserved it, hell, it felt *good.*
