6 Team CFVY

Y/n: "Your Name"

================================================================================================================================================================

Y/n's POV:

It's been a week since my powers awakened. I've been using my persona in the park at midnight – which is when and where there aren't a lot of people around.

I haven't entered the Metaverse yet – I want to get used to my powers before trying to fight shadows there, it could get ugly if I don't.

"Hey, where are you going today?" asked Junior as I walked out of the club, "Out." I answered, closing the door and walking towards my part time job.

I opened the door to the store, from Dust till Dawn. I liked the store, most of my time there was spent answering clients and there weren't a lot of them inside the shop.

I think it's because it's closer to the more shady part of town.

I sat down on the counter once again, this time reading Remnant's history – it was actually quite interesting, though it didn't feel like that subject was for me really. I chose this general history book on a whim, it seemed like the correct decision.

Maybe it's because I don't remember anything from my past life, all I know is that... I'm not from this world, that's it really.

I remember videogames, manga and anime – but I can't remember anyone from back home – or where back home was – I don't remember my history, my past. Maybe that's why I'm so interested in this history – who knows...

I kept reading quietly behind the counter.

"I thought I recognized someone here!" I heard a voice, it was far away and distant, probably wasn't addressed to me – I recognized it, but didn't bother looking up.

I heard the chime of small bells and looked up from my book, someone had arrived inside the shop.

"You know him Coco?" I heard someone ask.

It was Coco and another three people behind her. I put a bookmark in my reading and then put away the book I was reading, "So you're the intellectual type?" asked Coco. I shrugged and then stood up.

"Anything you want in specific?" I asked, she grinned and then shook her head, "I help a guy out and he doesn't even say hi," she turned around to look at the girl behind her, "See what I mean Velvet, life is harsh." she said.

I looked at her friend and was surprised – though I tried not to show it. I've read about it, but never seen one up close.

'A faunus right?' I questioned, looking at her.

She had long brown hair and eyes with two bunny eyes on her head. She was wearing a maroon blazer with golden brown lining and twin buttons over a brown button-up vest and white blouse with pleated looking neckline and a red ribbon tied around her black-lined collar. She also wore a skirt with red checked with black stripes with golden brown outlining alongside white tulle and boots.

'She's getting red?' I thought looking at her bunny ears.

'...' I kept looking at her, "C-can you stop staring please?" she said quietly, I blinked, 'Oh right, I'm staring too much.' I realized.

"Sorry...your ears look very cute – so I couldn't stop staring." I told her, she then turned bright red. I turned to Coco and saw her grin turn into an even more enthusiastic smile. "I know right?! She is SO cute!" she said gently touching the faunus' ears.

"C-Coco!" yelled Velvet, stomping and putting her hands on her ears as if to protect them, "G-Geez, you're teasing too much!" she said, Coco grinned, "Ahhh." she moaned as if displeased.

I looked at the rest of the group.

A very tall man with shaved-short black hair and eyes. He had tanned skin and was wearing a black blazer with a blue inner lining, a white collar shirt with a red tie, the zippers, buttons and some shoulder details were made of a golden yellow. He wore black pants and formal shoes.

The person next to him wore a similar outfit, he had dark skin and dark, messy copper hair that had a long fringe and a cowlick. I stared at his eyes – he was blind.

The copper haired boy suddenly turned around and tried to punch me on the face. I widened my eyes and instinctively grabbed it from behind the counter, before lightly pulling it – increasing the forwards momentum for him to loose his center of gravity, once that was done. I used my free hand and placed it on his head, slamming it agains the counter while grabbing his arm.

"FOX!" I heard Coco yell.

"Urgh." He grunted, I blinked and narrowed my eyes.

"Let him go!" I looked to Velvet who was the one who yelled for me to let go of him. I did as she asked, not because she asked, but because it is against our store's policies to harm costumers.

"What happened Fox? One second you're ok, the other you attack the cashier!" Yelled Coco, "What the hell man?!" I looked at them and then took my book from where I had stashed it and continued reading it.

"I felt someone staring at me – it was reflex, my bad my bad." He said in a very casual manner. I lowered my book and looked at the other three members of the rabbit, coffee, tall man, copper squad, I need a better name for their group.

"As leader of team CFVY I apologize." said Coco, lowering her sunglasses, 'Ah, so that's their group name.' I thought.

"A-Are you hurt?" Velvet asked, I looked at her and then looked at the palm of my hand, when I grabbed his hand he managed to damage my hand, it was like something protected him while I grabbed him.

I looked at my palm for a few seconds, then opened and closed it before looking at Velvet.

"No... I feel like I might die." I told them seriously.

"No you're not!" exclaimed Coco, making me blink.

"Anyways, I saw you from outside the store and thought it'd be interesting to talk to you." she said with a smirk.

"This time without you being riddled with bullet holes." she joked making me nod.

"R-Riddled w-with bullet holes?!" Velvet asked wide eyed. "I never did ask how you got into a fight with armed men did I?" she asked, narrowing her eyes, "I was minding my business" I told her, she rose her sunglasses, I looked around and the whole team was looking towards me.

"And they tried to kill me." I explained simply.

"... That can't be what happened!" Coco said as I shrugged, I explained it how I experienced it.

"Anyways, remember to call me if you have anything you want to ask about clothes." she said, making me nod.

"Let's go!" Coco said, the two men and Coco were walking away, Velvet however was still at the counter.

"Can I help you?" I asked, she nodded.

"C-Coco! I came to buy dust for my weapon remember!" Velvet yelled, the three turned around. "Oh yea. I totally forgot!" Coco said.

"What kind of dust would you like?" I asked, bringing up the store inventory and prices.

"Light dust." she answered right away.

"Here's my ID and weapon certification." She said, taking out the two documents. I shook my head and pointed at the pin on her chest. It was Beacon's emblem – meaning she was weapon certified.

"Ah yea, I keep forgetting about that." she said, chuckling.

I heard some shuffling from behind me. I turned around and looked at the source, it was the manager.

"..." he said making me nod, "Yea I know them," I said, looking at him, "..." he told me with conviction.

"A discount? Are you sure?" I asked.

"..." he said with a wise looking nod.

"Since I am a good worker and a nice guy you're letting my friends have a discount, thanks manager!" I said as he nodded and then walked to the backroom of the store.

"You understood that?" asked Coco, I turned around and looked at her, "He didn't say anything." she said, "He said so much," I told her, she lowered her sunglasses and then sighed, "You're a weird one aren't you?" she asked.

"?" I looked at her in confusion before going back to selling dust to Velvet.

"What kind of dust do you want?" I asked, "Powder please." she said. I nodded.

"Amount?" I asked.

"500 grams." she said.

"Ok." I told her.

"Hey, what happened to the dust tubes?" asked the tall man who's name I don't know.

"They are in maintenance. I am fixing them in my overtime." I explained. I didn't really have much to do. I have around three to four hours before I work as a bartender so I decided to go into overtime to fix these dust tubes so the costumers can more easily shop here.

"You know how to fix these?" asked the man with the copper hair.

I glanced at the book under the counter with instructions before looking back at him.

"Yes." I answered before getting the specified amount of light dust and handing it to Velvet.

"That'll be 2,500 lien." I told her. Light dust for some reason is the rarest kind and the most expensive. It's roughly 10 lien per gram, but with the discount I cut that price in half – since we buy in bulk the price we get for it is reduced by quite a bit and we can decrease the price by 75% before we start loosing money... yea this country is pretty rotten.

"That's so cheap!" she said making me nod. "Are you sure you want to sell it for that low?!" Velvet asked, making me nod.

"T-Thanks." she said, shyly grabbing the small vial of dust I had on my hands before paying me.

"No problem." I said giving her a thumbs up.

"See ya around Mr Bullet-Holes." Coco said as team CFVY left the store.

Third POV:

Team CFVY all walked out of the shop, when they did the whole group with exception of Fox stared at the copper haired boy.

"What?" asked the blind boy.

"Instinct my ass, what the hell was that back there?" asked Coco, outside the shop. Fox gave a small grin before turning back at the store. The moment he did he felt someone stare right back at him. He couldn't see who – but could take a guess.

"Whooo, that's a scary cashier you know there leader." he said in an amused tone.

"You shouldn't be picking fights like that." The tall man said, his name was Yatsuhashi and he didn't seem to amused.

"Yea, that was uncalled for!" Velvet added, making Fox's face go from a cheerful grin to a serious face, something which put everyone in the team in edge.

"That Cashier, I honestly felt like he was seeing more than me – like he was staring through me. It sent a shiver down my spine." Fox said, shaking his head.

"He is no normal cashier." he said, "I can feel it with my bones He's not normal – when I attacked him it felt like... It's hard to explain." he said, making team CFVY look at him with narrowed eyes.

"It felt like what?!" asked Coco, getting closer to listen to what he had to say.

"It was like... at first – when I punched him – he felt so powerless, and the suddenly it felt lke I was the powerless one, like I couldn't stop him – I couldn't win." explained Fox.

"... You're not messing with us again are you?" asked Coco.

"Who knows?!" Fox smirked and shrugged, walking away with a grin on his face, "I knew you were faking it!" yelled Coco clenching her fist in annoyance before sighing. The team started making their way towards beacon.

Fox slowed down, letting them be a little ahead of them before grabbing his shoulder and turning around to where the store was before. He narrowed his eyes and then turned forwards to follow his team.

"Scariest Cashier I've ever been near of." He whispered before running a little and catching up with his team.
