No more dreams

It started to rain, but it was clear that Ai jin was crying. Whether the rain got mixed with her tears or not, the depressed look in her eyes made Meilin feel ashamed.

Ai jin raised her hand at the other woman "Stay away from him! Stay away from my Haru! Go back! Go back to your husband" She grabbed her wet top "Please! Stop dreaming, you can never be with him."

"Meilin?" Haru turned on the light switch then noticed no one was in the room. She went out without telling him.

He wondered why? He was scared especially after he found out from the police that the six men that attacked her were hired.

He kept calling her name and number but it was unavailable. He assumed it was because of the weather.

He sat on the bed and waited for a call back. The door slowly opened and Meilin trudged in. Her head was lowered, and her eyes were puffy from her tears.

Haru noticed it all and rushed to console her "Not anymore...please..."

His heart ache, he didn't understand. He didn't want to understand why she changed all of a sudden. Why would she always change whenever they're so close to knowing each other better. He didn't care what kind of love it was, whether people would judge, if he's offending God, he'd do anything and everything within his power to make her happy again.

"Haru I'm married and I can't leave my husband. You don't want to waste your time with someone like me"

"Meilin please" He went on his knees "Please...don't leave me...don't" She shook her head, tears flowing out of her eyes again "I'm sorry...I'm so so sorry"

She stepped back and he had to let go "Meilin" He watched her leave once again and he couldn't do anything to stop it.

He built a castle but the base wasn't strong enough. He watched it crumble again.

He spent the whole night alone. He was mad at himself for falling in love with a married woman. He was hurt to the maximum but there was nobody he could rant or pour out his sadness to.

He lost his parents at a young age and forgot what it meant to love and be loved until his aunt came into his life.

He never really understood the meaning of love and he had never felt that emotion before until he met Meilin.

There was just some kind of forceful attraction to her. She was beautiful despite the stressful look plastered on her face.

For twenty eight Years of his life he never believed in love. He never believed in being so nice to people. He'd never given a woman a ride in his car. The history he had with women of different race was for satisfaction only.

But he found himself tangled in the throbbing desires to have a woman that didn't belong to him.

Why bother in the first place? Why didn't you think twice before falling in love? or was there even a chance to think? it kind of just happened.

He wasn't going to stress himself over anything love related. He was highly offended by her decision but he wouldn't blame her.

The situation they found themselves in was enough to drive them to make unreasonable decisions. Decisions that might make them regret things for the rest of their lives.

The next day, he received a notification on his platform about the departure of Meilin from her post.

She wrote a letter thanking him for everything he had done for her. He looked at the envelope, picked it up and tore it to shreds.

He wasn't going to have his emotions toy around with his personality anymore. He was tired of playing goody two shoes all the time.

He tried his possible best to win her over but she kept bringing up her marriage. There was a practical solution to the problem but she didn't think of it.

Her decision made him assume she only wanted him for his wealth. That was the motive behind his acquaintance with dozens of women his age, younger and older.

Love him? They didn't. All they wanted was the money and the pleasure. No one ever loved him for who he was, his bookworm personality, his jokes, his love for animation. They only saw him as a piggy bank.

If he won't get married to the woman he admired then it would be best to not marry at all. He never thought of having kids and he's sure the need for a heir will come up some day. He wouldn't hesitate to pass it to someone that wasn't his own flesh and blood. He didn't care anymore.

Ai jin filled the spot of a woman in his life, they made out almost everywhere but that was her use to him. He saved her contact as personal toilet because he could do whatever and whenever he wanted.

That was the difference between her and Meilin. Meilin wouldn't give herself up so easily. She was a difficult challenge, someone hard to grasp but in the end, he failed to reach her and he might never do.

A couple of months passed and the little flame of interest he had for Meilin burned out. She hardly came up in his mind like she used to. In fact he disliked her for leaving him again, especially when he hoped that their relationship would reach greater hieghts.

He didn't need a woman in his personal life but there were tons of spaces to fill for sexual activities.

"I'm going to have a coffee break and I think you should do the same too Ai jin" He knew the secretary work was too much to handle so he recommended a break for her because she still had a lot to do.

He strolled to the coffee shop with his hands in his pockets as he kicked open the door. Luckily, the shop was empty. There'd be no disturbance from fans and the media. He could have a cup of coffee, read the papers and relax.

"Welcome to—"

His eyes jammed with the same person he expected to never see again. He thought when she meant to leave his life, she'd be gone for good.

Hello everyone. I know the previous chapters have been a little bit trashy and maybe off but I promise to fix all that. I also know that I get complaints about the plot being fast. I'm fully aware.

I wanted to build a castle fast so I can destroy it. Then I'll take things slow so I can study it to make it bigger and better. If you understand that, you understand the book.

I'm sorry once again, I've been busy with college and projects. Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to support.
