2 Trust her on This

"My parents said I can go!" Alice lilted as she waved her signed letter. The boys only grumbled in reply.

"Everyone was expecting that, and even if they didn't we're pretty sure you'd do anything to go. You can't afford to miss this one." Mark said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Of course I would, this retreat might have cost a fortune but it's an event that isn't worth missing. I hope I get that solo room though." Alice said. At the mention of the solo room, most of them looked at Alice in surprise.

"You applied for the solo room too?!" Mark, Josh and Alex yelped in surprise.

"You guys too? Wow, that's a lot of competition." Alice whined and the guys sighed in disbelief.

During their first period, their homeroom teacher told them that one student would be given a chance to have a solo room while some would get rooms for two or for three. They only have to answer one question, "Why do you deserve that room?" and the student with the best answer gets it.

"What did you guys write?" Gerald asked.

"To become independent" Josh answered.

"I wrote, to get all the privacy I want," Alex shrugged.

"Because I don't want to become a burden to a roommate" Mark replied.

"How about you Alice?" Lance asked the female. Alice only shook her head.

"It's a secret," she grinned. "Anyways, why are we here again?" Alice changed the subject. They were at the rooftop again for some reason.

"Well we have a question," Matthew began. Alice only nodded.

"Can you keep a secret?" Vincent asked.

"Oh crap! You're all gay?!" she gasped exaggeratedly.

"Of course not! Could you just answer the question? Quit jumping to conclusions." Josh scolded as he scratched his head.

Alice realized her mistake, she giggled. "Okay sorry, yup I can keep a secret." she answered as she stifled her laughter.

"How on earth would you help us? You have no experiences or anything." Vincent whispered.

"I know," Alice shrugged. "I just didn't want to get left out, but trust me on this. I know a lot of stuff that you guys don't know." she said mysteriously.

"Do you think asking that creep to help us is a good idea?" Mark whispered.

"I don't know, it's not like I don't trust her but she never had any relationships, besides she is a creep," Josh whispered back.

Suddenly, both of them flinched when they felt something tight around their neck "Call me a creep again and I'll snap your necks." Alice threatened.

Josh and Mark gave Alice a nervous grin before laughing. "Sorry, we were kidding." They gulped. Alice turned away from them.

"Anyway, here is all you need to do once we're on that retreat. First, get rid of your shyness. Be brave, it kinda turns girls off when you're too shy and you keep stuttering whenever you're near her. Second, look your best and smell your best. Seriously, that teenage boy scent isn't appealing especially if you smell like an athlete who had just run a marathon. Lastly, befriend them. Starting now and if you're already friends with them, much better. But don't just treat her as a friend, at least give small hints that you like her or else you're gonna get friend-zoned." Alice lectured.

"Okay, but what if we get friend-zoned?" Lance asked. "You don't have to worry about getting friend-zoned, I promise you this, my main priority during the retreat are you guys. I promise that this is all going to work out well for all of you." Alice said with a smile. All of them nodded in response. "Good, now then, let's all go back to the classroom. The next period is starting soon." She said as she walked off.

They arrived in the classroom just in time for their classes. Most students were hardly paying any attention since most of their thoughts are now focused on their upcoming retreat. "Hey Alice, what were you doing with the boys in the rooftop?" her classmate, Rebecca asked.

"Oh the usual, just talking about normal stuff." She replied.

Rebecca pouted "You're so lucky, I mean you're friends with the cutest boys on campus."

Alice giggled. "Cute? Them?" she fakes a disgusted look. "Yeah, you'll realize how foolish you sound once you get to know them. They're all foolish dorks." she said.

"Really? You're just being mean. Do you like any one of them though?" her other seatmate, Kim asked.

"You're all crazy, no way. That's something that would never happen." She waved the question off.

"If you say so," the two girls grinned.

Soon it was already their dismissal time, and it was also the time that the winner for the solo room to be announced. They headed to the school bulletin board but a bunch of their other batch mates was already crowded there.

"I can't see a thing!" Alice shouted. As if on cue, all the students looked at her. "Sorry, is it wrong to shout?" she asked.

"Congratulations, your answer was priceless!" One of the students said and it only made Alice more confused.

"Uhh… what?" She asked again.

"You got the solo room!" Another student told her.

"What? Out of the way, I have to see this!" Alice said excitedly as she made her way to the bulletin board, the guys followed her as well. Once they reached the bulletin board their reactions were priceless! Alice laughed loudly the moment she saw her name posted on the board.

"Seriously? I deserve the room because unlike the boys, I won't watch adult movies?" Mark said in disbelief as he read Alice's winning answer.

"This is such a ridiculous scam. I can't believe that you of all people ended up getting the room." Josh groaned and Alex was too disappointed to even talk.

"I still can't believe that you won that solo room with such an answer." Matthew chuckled.

"Really? I was expecting it though, who wouldn't buy that answer?" Alice shrugged.

Mark immediately flicked her forehead. "Is that really how you see guys though?" he grunted.

"Nope, I just thought it would be a good answer and it's pretty funny." She grinned sheepishly and the boys sighed in defeat.

"Well, the good part is that at least one of us got the solo room. We could hang-out at Alice's room whenever we want." Gerald pointed out.

"Yeah, you sure are lucky. You get all the privacy and you get no snoring roommates." Matthew chuckled.

"Well too bad for you guys you got no privacy. Anyway, I'm going home, so I'll see you losers tomorrow!" Alice said as she marched off.

"Did she just call us losers?" Mark wondered if he heard her right. The others didn't hear him.

"I can't wait for our retreat," Josh mused.

"Yeah, me too. All of us should probably get a girlfriend." Lance said.

"Don't get your hopes up. Maybe you're forgetting that our so-called 'guide' has zero experiences when it comes to love." Mark sighed.

All of them took a deep breath. "Well, let's trust her on this. She seems to be pretty excited and enthusiastic about this so I'm curious on what her plans are and how she could help." Gerald said with a bit of hesitation. "And it's not like he have a choice either." he adds with a chuckle.
