5 My Name is Liam

The sound of Alice's alarm woke her up. It was already their third day on the retreat, they had a whole day of activities the day before which kind of made the students a bit exhausted.

She slowly got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. Once she finished she got dressed, she wore her usual knee-length shorts, her shirt, and hoodie.

She groaned inwardly "I forgot, everyone else is going on their dates today. I can't hang out with them." She wondered if the guys took her advice seriously. She didn't participate in most activities just to remind the guys on what to do on their dates.

She walked through the halls until she reached the lobby. She saw a bubble tea stall and she ordered herself a chocolate-flavored bubble tea.

"Hey Alice," Someone greeted. She turned to the person as she removed her headphones and rested them around her neck.

"Oh hey!" She casually greeted, the person turned out to be her classmate Tiffany and she was with Jenny another classmate of hers.

"So," Tiffany began as she drummed her fingers on the table "Where's Mark?" she asked. "Same with your other friends?" she reluctantly added.

"They have their own plans today which is actually a good thing, I can finally rest, a day without them is just what I need" she answered as she sipped her drink.

The two girls giggled in response "You're way too mean but what exactly are they doing?" Tiffany asked.

"Well yesterday all of them had an encounter with their crushes, so I made sure that they'd have a friendly time with them," Alice told them causing Tiffany to pout.

"Why?" Alice couldn't help but ask.

"You're the one to set them up to their crushes?" asked Tiffany.

"Not really, they're the ones to make the moves I was responsible for the connections and the encountering stuff. Why are you so curious?" Alice asked as she nibbled her straw.

"So who does Mark like?" Tiffany asked again.

"Mia, his best friend, cute right?" Alice answered.

"I hate you," Tiffany said coldly.

"What?" Alice asked.

Tiffany glowered at her. "I can't stand girls like you. The fact that all your close friends are guys is irksome enough then now you decided to play cupid for them?" Tiffany shook her head. "Even for Mark, to think that you actually set him up on a date with his best friend is unforgivable," Tiffany said with gritted teeth.

"I still don't get the point," Alice asked confusingly which only caused Tiffany to fume even more.

"I like Mark and you took my chance away from him!" Tiffany shot her a glare, Jenny pulled her away shooting an apologetic glance at Alice as they left.

Once they were fully gone, Alice decided to return to her room. "So Tiffany likes Mark huh?" A smirk crept onto her face. "Things just got interesting,"

Once she got into her room she got a change of clothes. "Time to go undercover," she said with a hint of mischief.

She stepped out of her room and began walking through the hallway, she passed by some of her classmates but no one greeted her because no one seemed to recognize her. She is disguising as a guy. She is wearing a short brown wig, not to mention that she is also wearing knee-length shorts, a jacket, and a cap. She also wore shades in order to hide her distinguishable eyes.

Some girls would look at her and smile brightly. She tried her best to suppress her laughter "This is way too amusing, to think that these girls think I'm some hot random teenage boy."

Alice found herself in the lobby once again. There she saw Mark and Matthew; both were currently waiting for their 'dates'. "Waiting for someone?" Alice asked in a convincing male voice.

The two looked at 'him' confusingly before nodding. "We're going on a date, we're just waiting for our girlfriends," Mark said.

"You're such a liar!" Alice screamed in her thoughts.

Alice nodded. "Good luck then, my name is Liam by the way. My dad owns the ship," Mark's and Matthew's jaws dropped in surprise.

"Cool! My name is Matthew and he's Mark." they shook hands.

From the corner of the room, Liam saw Therese and Mia. "I'll see you around then," he said as he left.

"See you!" the two boys waved.

"Two liars caught red-handed and to think that they believed my bluff." Alice chuckled to herself.

Liam passed by a restaurant and he saw Lance and Josh entering it together with Jayne and Sarah. He decided to follow them in, he saw that the two girls left to order. "Sorry man, the seat is taken," Josh said when Liam took a seat in their table.

"Oh, my apologies. Just let me sit for a few minutes. I'll leave once your girlfriends arrive," Liam shrugged. The two immediately flinched.

"They're not our girlfriends yet" Lance gulped.

"Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. Better hurry though, one of them is my type." Liam grinned which caused the other two to instantly glare at him.

"You seem awfully familiar," Josh mused.

Liam gulped. "You've probably seen me once or twice, I mean my father does own the ship," and just like Mark and Matthew, both guys were shocked and amazed. "My name is Liam, I'll see you around." He said before leaving.

"I never thought that reusing the lie would work. I don't even know if the owner of the ship is married," Alice laughed as she walked down the hallway. She decided to ignore the looks she's getting from the people around the ship, especially the girls.

"Hi there cutie!" one foreigner said.

Liam shook his head and continued walking. He walked past the movie room and he saw Alex together with Julianne. He just paid for the tickets but Julianne accidentally dropped hers.

Liam picked the ticket up and handed it to Julianne. "Thanks," she smiled at him and Liam nodded in return.

"Thanks man, but I could've done it myself," Alex said as if he was irritated.

"No need to be jealous, it was just a good deed. You look good together." He told them and left.

After an hour of aimlessly walking around the ship, Alice once again found herself in the lobby. Most of her classmates were in there and it made her nervous since her cover might get blown.

She saw Gerald, Joanna, Angela, and Vincent together and it seemed that they're having a good time talking to one another. Liam smiled to himself and he decided to quickly walk across the lobby before anyone else notices him.

"Hi there, you're kinda cute." Someone told him. Liam turned his head and his eyebrows furrowed when he saw Tiffany. Of all people, it just had to be her.

"You're right Tiffany, hi there I'm Amy." Alice was even more surprised when he saw a bunch of her other female schoolmates looking at her. Even Gerald and Vincent saw her.

"Yeah, I'm Liam and I'm a bit late for an appointment so I gotta go. Bye!" Liam dashed out of the lobby. Alice made sure no one was around when she returned to her room. She immediately changed out of her male clothes and returned to her normal attire.

"Who would've thought that disguising is fun? My emergency cross-dressing kit is helpful after all." Alice thought while she was lying down her bed. She was lost in her thoughts when she heard a knock on the door.

"How was it?" She let the guys in. She anticipated that the guys were arriving soon, that's why she hurried to the room in the first place. All the guys narrated about their dates and Alice was glad that everything went well and that her advice worked.

"Oh by the way Matthew and I met this guy named Liam, his father owns the ship." Mark narrated. It took all of Alice's self-control to not laugh on the spot.

"Us too, didn't we Josh?" Lance asked and Josh huffed in response.

"Yeah, the guy is annoying. He said that Jayne or Sarah is his type. He's full of air." Josh scoffed.

"Tch, I met a guy like that too but when he said Julianne and I look good together I changed my opinion on him," Alex grinned. "I don't know if it's the same guy though."

"The name is familiar," Gerald thought.

"That's because he's the dude in the lobby. The one the girls are talking about, the guy looks good." Vincent told them.

Alice smiled. "It's funny how you all met the same guy on the same day," she began. "He seems nice, what if you introduce him to me? He might like me." Alice asked innocently.

The guys broke out in laughter "As if some rich hotshot would like you," Mark said in between laughs.

Alice faked a pout. "Too bad, that could be my chance."

"In your dreams," Josh laughed.

Alice suddenly smiled evilly "You're all idiots," there was a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"What do you mean?" Vincent asked.

"You know, Mark you shouldn't lie, Mia isn't your girlfriend. Double dates are for cowards and you get jealous so easily Alex." Alice said, the smirk on her lips widening.

"What?" the mentioned guys gasped.

Alice took out something from the dresser, the brown wig, and the cap that belonged to Liam. "I can't believe everyone thought I was a guy!" she laughed.

"You're Liam?!" Alex jabbed an accusing finger at her.

"Well duh, I still had to look out for you guys you know," Alice taunted.

"Shut up!" Mark shouted

"Aww, is Mark feeling annoyed cause I caught him lying?" Alice still tried to provoke him. Mark walked towards Alice, Alice stood up, and Mark looked down glaring at her trying to take advantage of the height difference.

Alice smirked "Is that really how easily you get frustrated?" she teased. Mark pulled Alice's shirt collar making Alice stand on her toes.

"You should just shut up," he said; his teeth gritting in anger.

"Hey, you two stop it!" Gerald interfered.

"Oh, you think I'm afraid of you?" Alice continued taunting, ignoring Gerald's comment. Mark lost his temper and shoved Alice, the others gasped and tried to stop them.

"Interesting, the usually calm Mark is now acting like a brute." Alice smirked Mark was able to grab her shirt collar once again and he was about to punch her when Josh grabbed his arm.

"Enough of this foolishness. Mark, Alice is a girl you can't hurt her and Alice quit acting like a jerk." Josh scolded. Mark took a deep breath Josh released his arm.

"Let's go, we'll leave you two alone. We can't have you two fighting, no one leaves this room unless you made up." Gerald said as he and the others left the room and closed the door leaving the two alone.

There was this deafening silence in the room none of them dared to talk, none of them even tried to look at the other, they were both sitting down at either side of the room. Tension is slowly building up in the air until Mark decided to break it, he sighed. "Why do you always have to act like some damn jerk?" he grunted.

Alice chuckled. "Why? Am I frustrating you Marky?" she mocked

"Just shut up you annoying pest," he growled.

"And here comes the growling brute," Alice laughed "Seriously if you keep acting like that in front of girls you'll never get a girlfriend." This only caused Mark to smirk.

"I don't act like this in front of girls it just shows that I don't treat you like a girl nonetheless human, Alice you're just a damn pest, a flea" he teased.

Alice only snorted at his comment. A few moments of deafening silence passed by.

"Sorry," Mark said softly as he looked away.

"Eh?" Alice's eyes widened a fraction.

"I shouldn't have lost my temper and tried to hurt you, it's just so wrong in many ways." he apologized.

Alice walked to Mark's place "Apology accepted,"

"Idiot! You're supposed to say sorry it's my fault, I never should have provoked you!" Mark scowled.

Alice laughed. "As if I'd say sorry to you," Alice said in a mocking tone as she stood up but Mark grabbed Alice's shirt collar causing her to stumble in front of him, their eyes met.

"I'm not letting you go until you realize your mistake and apologize to me too." Mark warned.

Alice rolled her eyes. "Fine! I'm sorry I never should've provoked you now let me go!" she whined. Mark smirked and released his grip.

"About time," Mark grunted before letting her go.

"You're insufferable." Alice scoffed. "Now get out and tell them that we made up already."

"Yes boss," Mark said sarcastically.

"So how'd it go?" Gerald asked worriedly once Mark left Alice's room.

"Fine, we just said sorry that's all." Mark shrugged.

"It took you long enough," Josh said.

"Our dear friend is a stubborn one." Mark shrugged. The other guys decided to let the topic go so they all part ways to go back to their respective rooms.

Meanwhile in her room, Alice was pondering over her thoughts again. "I wonder if everything would be back to normal." she thought. "Who cares, messing with Mark is so much fun anyways" she lilted.
