6 Let's Have a Bet!

They were all hanging out at the lobby, they had no plans for the day and the boys have no plans with the girls either. They were already done with their activities during the morning so now they have the rest of the day as their free time. "So what do you want to do now?" Alice asked as she took a bite of her burger.

"We don't know, you're the so-called boss. You of all people should know," Mark sneered.

"So you're getting kind of impatient, my dear brute of a friend," she smirked.

"Oh shut up pest," Mark scoffed.

"So I guess you two haven't made up at all," Gerald sighed in disapproval.

"Hey, I said sorry and this thing said sorry too," Mark snorted.

"It doesn't look like it." Josh leered.

"No, we're totally friends we just added nicknames to strengthen our friendship," Alice said as she patted Mark's shoulder with an unnecessary strong force. Mark jerked at this.

"How about we have a bet?" Alex asked.

"What bet?" Alice and Mark faced him in curiosity.

"Just don't fight today or call each other with those nicknames then we'll believe you if you don't there will be a consequence." He paused. "Oh and to add more excitement we'll pay for your food for the rest of the retreat if you win." He stated.

"Bring it on!" Alice said enthusiastically.

"I'm definitely in!" Mark nodded.

"Why did you include us? I don't have enough money to pay for their food!" Lance whined.

"Relax, I know they'll never win this. Trust me," he smirked.

"What is the consequence anyway?" Matthew asked. Alex gathered everyone excluding Mark and Alice and whispered something to them.

"How rude," Alice chuckled. The others ended up snickering and this made the two curious.

"Well we don't need to find out since this bet sucks anyway," Alice said and Mark nodded in agreement.

"Anyway, go on and talk with your crushes and make your moves. I know you guys told me that you have no plans for today but it's better to spend time with them than just laze around here. I'll be staying over there until later." Alice pointed to the bubble tea shop.

Alice ordered her favorite chocolate flavored bubble tea, took a seat, and observed around the area. The bubble tea shop was right on the upper deck and she could see most of her classmates hanging around at the lower deck. Most of the students were there since there was a swimming pool and there was a huge space to hang-out.

Alice saw that the guys met up with the girls. "They're all having a good time," Alice thought and she couldn't help but feel both proud and sad. Will the guys start ignoring her once they all get their girl? She shook her head at the thought.

She felt like a total loner as she looked at them. Mark was playing with Mia. Gerald, Joanna, Vincent, and Angela were laughing together as they splashed each other on the poolside. Alex clearly looked like he was flirting with Julianne, the same with Matthew. Lastly, Josh and Lance look like they're having a good time in super close proximity with Jayne and Sarah.

"They seem to be enjoying themselves," she sighed. "I wonder if I'll ever get a date?" she pondered over her thoughts. She slammed her head on the table. She ignored the confused glances she received from the customers at the shop. "Why the heck am I getting so worked out about this whole dating thing?!" She thought miserably.

She just decided to work on more plans on how the guys would drop the bomb of confessing to the girls. A few moments later the guys arrived and they sat down together with her. Alice decided to not ask the guys about how they did since she saw everything anyways.

"I have been wondering, do you guys think there is a possibility that someone would ever like me?" Alice sighed as she stared at the sky. The guys immediately snorted.

"What's with the sudden thought?" Lance chuckled. Alice grinned then she shook her head.

"I just thought that your crushes are lucky girls to have you guys, I'm just wondering if I'd find a guy for me too, then again it is impossible." She giggled. "Please do forget that I ever mentioned this,"

"Like we care," Mark chuckled causing Alice to glare at him. "What's with the look? Did I annoy you?" This time it was his turn to do the taunting.

"Oh please, you're not even worth getting annoyed with." She rolled her eyes but Mark only got an idea.

"By the way Alice our individual talks with our crushes today was so fun, did you enjoy yours?" he smirked. "Oh I forgot, no one likes you, and you don't have a crush too sorry about that." Mark taunted.

The others immediately stepped away from them. "Brace yourselves we're about to win the bet," Alex gulped.

To their surprise, Alice looked at Mark with the sweetest smile on her face. "I guess you're right Mark." Mark's brows raised in confusion, they suddenly widened when the smile transformed into a smirk. "You shouldn't have said that," and after that, she pulled Mark's hair.

Mark winced and clutched his head once Alice finally let go of him. "That hurt," he groaned. "Alice you pest!" he roared. Alice ran and Mark went after her the others decided to chase the two, who knows what those two are capable of doing.

Alice ran to her room, she closed the door, sat on her bed, and laughed to herself. Suddenly Mark barged in her room, Alice's eyes widened, she forgot to lock the damn door!

"Shit," she swore.

"Shit it really is, you are dead." Mark smirked.

"Hey quit that!" Gerald shouted.

"Will you two stop fighting? We're friends!" Josh growled.

"Besides you lose the bet and you have to do the consequence," Lance sighed.

Mark calmed himself down "Fine what is it?" Mark asked although his anger is still evident in his voice.

The others started snickering "What the hell happened to the 'we're all friends act?'" Alice chuckled, apparently she isn't even a bit worried.

"Your consequence is a date," Matthew grinned.

It took a few moments for the two to process what he just said. "No way!" They yelled in unison.

"The two of you have to go on a date tomorrow and if you ever separate we will report your fights to the teachers," Alex laughed.

"Way to blackmail I thought you were my friends." Mark scowled.

"Yes, we are that's why we're doing this." Gerald explained.

"I won't do it!" Alice said stubbornly. Josh went to Alice's bedside table and snatched her laptop.

"I won't return this unless you do the consequence. What's so bad about a date? It doesn't have to be a romantic one, it's easy." He said causing Alice to pout.

"Should I just beat him to a pulp and risk getting reported to the teacher or should I just do this date and get myself embarrassed but remain safe? Oh, the dilemma" Alice thought.

"Fine all we have to do is eat right?" she sighed in defeat.

"Eat, walk, be nice to each other, have lots of fun. Come on Alice, you set us up on dates, you know exactly what to do." Gerald narrated.

"What about Mia?" Mark exclaimed.

"Relax it's just a friendly date to have the both of you chilled out," Lance chuckled.

"Yeah, as if I'd be mistaken as your girlfriend you brute." Alice rolled her eyes with disgust.

"Why you!" Mark's hands balled into fists but he took a deep breath and sighed in defeat. "Fine, just meet me at the lobby." Mark said.

"No you have to fetch her at her room," Vincent pointed out. Alice and Mark glared at them.

"I'll go here at nine-thirty tomorrow. Don't make me wait." Mark grumbled before leaving the room.

"Good luck," Matthew smiled at Alice before they left her room.

Alice locked the door and she flopped down her bed. "I hate this," she whined in pure annoyance.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Mark asked his roommates. Gerald and Alex looked at him with concerned faces.

"Just be nice to her, be a gentleman," Gerald said.

"And don't let your temper get the best of you," Alex reminded.

Mark fumed. "I just can't stand that girl." He cursed.

"Trust me, she's acting like some mean jerk because she doesn't want anyone to discover that she has a soft feminine side." Gerald calmly said.

"Soft?! Feminine?! That girl is mean, sadistic, aggressive, and scary and she doesn't even act half-feminine!" Mark whined. "You both know her very well and you have seen how she acts. It's impossible that a side of her like that even exists."

Gerald and Alex laughed "I know right?! Maybe you can change her,"

"Whatever," Mark scoffed as he lied down his bed.
