6 Dark Continent

Before knowing where she was, Alicia was determined not to drink or eat anything. Although her throat was dry, she had no intention of accepting a glass of water from the healer.

A similar incident happened when she was kidnapped by the Holy Kingdom's Priest. At first, she did not realize that she was kidnapped by the Priestess because people welcomed her quite well when she arrived in the Holy Kingdom.

A banquet had even been prepared in a hall with a long table filled with various kinds of food. However, she did not expect that the food and drink given to her had been mixed with drugs.

She fainted, and when she woke up, she was already in a small prison with her legs handcuffed. Even her dress was replaced with a loose cloth.

With that painful experience, she would assume all the food and drink the man brought had been laced with drugs.

'So you're acting like a know-it-all by giving me the drug-laced water? I know what will happen next if I drink it.' Alicia just glared at the man's hand, who had been thrusting his hand to her for a few minutes.

It's normal for someone with malicious intent to get angry when treated like that. But unlike that man, he even still smiled even though his every action was always ignored by Alicia.

"Looks like the news is true. I'm not going to force you to be examined now... I'll be back at lunch. I hope by then you've calmed down so I can examine your wound, and you get well soon." The man immediately stood up and bowed slightly before leaving the chamber.

After the man left, and the door was closed, suddenly her heart beat fast, and she fell short of breath.

'Relax, Alicia... Inhale and exhale.' Alicia didn't realize that she was holding her breath when he handed her a drink. She gasped and tried to breathe normally again.

After calming down, she saw that the shelf trolley that the man was carrying was left in her room. She didn't know whether the man was intentional or not. She crawled to find evidence that the man had malicious intentions towards her.

The trolley has 3 shelves. The top shelf contains 1 covered food bowl and a drink. The shelf below contained the man's medicine and bag, and on the bottom shelf were some clothes.

After seeing the contents of the trolley, she was only interested in the contents of the bottom shelf. Even though most of her body was covered in bandages, she still wasn't wearing any clothes, which made her need clothes more than food or medicine.

'Why should a man take care of me. Anyway, I have to go.' Alicia immediately took the clothes and immediately put them on.

She didn't know why but the dress he had prepared fit her body. It was a simple-looking one-piece dress. Inside the rack are also boots that look sturdy.

Without thinking, she immediately took the boots and wanted to put them on. But when her bandaged foot touched the boot, she was in pain.

'Aw...aw... This is terrible! But it shouldn't hurt if I manage to use it.' As expected by her, the pain caused by the friction between her wound and the boot was painful. But when her leg came in, the pain started to subside.

And the pain she had to feel twice. Her eyes watered after successfully wearing boots on her injured leg.

'Aw... I can feel my legs throbbing.' When she tried to force herself to walk, she wasn't used to the pain, but she got used to the pain over time.

After successfully walking, she started looking for a way out so she could leave the chamber without going through the door. She looked at the chamber and found a long red curtain on the other side of the bed she was using.

'That must be the window!' She was overjoyed when she found the window and rushed over to it.

And her guess was correct that it was the curtain covering the window. She was pretty impressed by the size of the large window, and fortunately, she was on the lower floor.

Without much effort, she managed to open the window and exit the chamber-shaped prison. There was a flower garden with several garden lights on. She crept up and continued to walk near the wall.

Her priority is to find a dark path that is not lit by streetlights.

'There doesn't seem to be any lighting there.' Alicia found the path quite dark, and there was not a single light illuminating the path.

Even though she didn't know where the road would lead, she had to get as far away from her luxurious prison as possible. She kept walking while hiding several times behind a tree.

'Before leaving, what exactly is that place?' Alicia wondered why the chamber was so luxurious. With curiosity, she, who was hiding behind a tree, peeked behind.

'S-so big!? Is that a Mansion... no... no... it looks like a palace from its size.' She was really amazed by the size of the building. It was her first time seeing such a big building.

But there is one important thing that she forgot from the words of the healer who treated her.

'Didn't the healer say he would return to the chamber at lunch? B-but why is the sky dark!!?' Her legs began to limp and her body trembled when she realized that she was in an area out of reach of the sun.
