1 Hestia and the other Gods

The Council of Gods are made up of immortal beings that has been protecting the earth and maintaining balance since time immemorial.

These are immortals, beings that existed for a long time. Although gods, they are not really gods, they are just immortal beings that took up the name of cultural gods made in earth.

Upon reading the various cultural books, in which they stole the books of course, it created a stir of the entire council of immortals. Instead of their normal name, all of them decided to take various aliases from the aforementioned books.

On the day of the official naming of the Immortals, there was a war deciding who would take the name of Zeus, Poseidon, Amun-Ra, Odin, Thor and Hades. For these gods have the most memorable name and has the most reputable down in the earth.

Who would expect these grand and mighty immortals are chasing some name of gods to feel good just becuase those names are the coolest down on earth?

After some heaven shaking argument and earth shattering exchange of fist, some immortals finally decided on their names and the Council of Immortals was changed to Council of the Gods.

In years time, usual situation finally came back after a decade war of deciding aliases, and that usual situation was of course again constant bickering, insulting and provocation.

The Current head of the Council of Gods was an immortal that really loves to be drunk and act wildly inside the council, loves wines, and beer from earths. He took up the name of Dionysus, the greek god of wine, which what he loves the most. Of course no other immortals refuted because who really want to challenge a constant drubken immortal that is akways insufferbale? Well no one.

Then came a little girl, with an appearance of an 18 year old pretty lady. Reason why they call them little girl was because most of the immortals have the appearance of middle aged man and woman, some even looks like old ancestors like Dionysus.

As immortals, they can control how they look like, some can be a child, a middle aged man, an old woman, a senile old man. All their appearance right now are what they prefer to have.

Upon knowing another new immortal entered the council wasn't really surprised, most of them came in the same way that girl came in, suddenly without notice.

Happily welcoming the little Immortal girl, many Gods father around to happily inspect the newcomer, especially the female gods as if some maternal instinct clicked within them as they enthusiastically introduced themselves to the little girl.

The little girl introduces herself as Paige, which resulted some squealing and screaming from the other female gods.

Then a surrounding guffaw resounded the entire hall, upon looking where the source was, it was Dionysus, in his normally state of drunkenness.

"Come come little girl, introduce *hiccup* yourself to me, the *hiccup* head of Counil of the *hiccup*--godsss." Dionysus stuttered as his hiccups was all over the place.

Paige complied as she walked towards Dionysus and introsuced herself.

"My name is Paige." Paige introduced herself again in which again gain some squealing and screaming from other female gods and this time there a male gods joining in too.

"Awww what a cute name." Also muttered by Dionysus.

"*cough* Anyway, since now you are part of the council, we have a rule here to pick an alias, or so to say pick a "God's name" that suits you." Dionysus drunkenly laughed while saying that.

"Just like mine, I love wines and beer from earth so I chose Dionysus as an alias."

Paige nodded.

"Before that my dear, how did you come into being?" Dionysus asked. Strangely the redness if his face disappeared as if he was never drunk to begin with.

All the gods had their eyes lit up on the question, since the origins of immortals are not the same and some are even strange, this topic garner interest for everyone.

"Well I was born by my parents and I became immortal you know." Paige said chuckling.

"What?!" Dionysus was shocked.

Upon hearing that, some gods became uneasy.

Dionysus was not really shocked of the information if being an immortal since baby.

When he witnessed Paige suddenly intruding the palace, he thought that her time of existence was at thay very instance. Meaning when she appeared, that very time and place was her birth as an immortal.

Why? Because as the Council of Gods, it is also one of their works to look out for some emergine immortals in the earth than can possibly disrupt the balance of the earth.

But for some reason, no information or whatnot was reported when Paige was born as a immortal.

"Then? Continue." Dionysus composes himself and gestured her to continue.

"For a decade, I don't know what to do as an Immortal, I was not informed on what to do. It is very hard to act as a mortal down there you know. After a decade, I just willed myself to come here and here I am." Paige said feigning a greifing expression on her face.

"God dammit, THOTH AND EILEITHYIA, what the hell are you doing? Look, we have an immortal unguided here, she might even disrupt the balance there on earth. Are both of you neglecting your jobs?" Dionysus summond the two and started reprimanding them.

A male and female god stepped forward, standing in front of Dionysus with their head bowed down as if they were children that was caught doing naughty things.

"Errr.. Hehehe, I think I was napping?" Thoth said, he really was napping, napping for a decade. He was suddenly woken up when he heard Dionysus and upon hearing the reason he just smiled sheepishly. His job as an immortal was to collect every knowledge and information down on eart, and that includes every immortal emerging.

Dionysus just glared fiercely at Thoth, then his gaze turned to Eileithyia.

Feeling pressured by Dionysus' hot gaze, Eileithyia broke down.

"I was down there on earth okay? I'm in the middle of helping a lady in her childbirth. Then I was suddenly summoned, do you know how panicky I was when I sent a clone to replace me there?" The goddess was starting to cry injustice.

The other gods and godesses was just standing there, spectating and being entertained by the scene.

Paige just smiled wryly upon the situation in front of her.

"Whatever. Eileithypia, go back and assist the childbirth, the mother might be feeling some pain, take care of her." Dionysus waved his hand and sent Eileithypia away.

He turned towards Thoth and glared at him, his body stiffing from the gaze.

"You, I need a report and update for the past decade that you neglected. Ill give you day, GO!" Dionysus commanded.

"Yes yes yes." Thoth ran in lightspeed as he kept stumbling down here and there.

Dionysus sighs.

"Sorry for making you witness such scene." Dionysus apologized to Hestia.

"No worries, it is quite entertaining to be honest." Giggled Hestia.

Upon hearing the remark, Dionysus doesn't know whether to laugh or cry, the surrounding god and goddesses was also laughing and giggling at the scene.

"Anyway, have you decided on what name you will take?" Dionysus asked with anticipation.

Same goes for the surrounding gods and goddesses.

"Let me think." Paige ponders deeply.

After a moment.

"Hestia, I'll take Hestia."
