And Then there were two

"Finally" Ben shouted . It had been five years since he came to this world, and he'd done quite a lot. He's learned how to cast magic, though his was a deep royal blue. He'd also found out he had an anodite spark, so he already had one alien form.

What he was most excited about though, was this road trip, as he would get the omnitrix! He hurriedly ran out of the school building, and almost let Grandpa Max drive into him. "Get It Ben, it's time to

Go!" Max bellowed heartily. Oh yeah, this was gonna be a hell of a road trip.

As he got in the RV, he greeted Gwen" What's up dweeb? Didn't know you were coming." He asked. Gwen sighed sadly "I wasn't supposed to, and I even had my summer planned out and color coded so I would never repeat a day!" She looked frustrated as she held up the calendar. "It's fine Gwen, this summer will be great, after all, it is grandpa Max we're talking about." "That's the spirit" Grandpa Max laughed as they drove to the legendary campsite.

They had just finished setting up the tents when Gwen sighed " I'm gonna go take a walk." Feeling the moment I Replied "I'll come with" to which she surprisingly didn't object. So together, we walked off into the woods. "This summer's gonna be great" Max said to himself

"So Gwen, how's school been?" Ben asked curiously, shocking Gwen to the core. "Pretty good actually, considering some social problems" She Replied, sounding rather depressed about the situation, the complete opposite of her words.

"Don't worry about it, it'll sort itself out." Ben attempted cheering her up.

After a few moments of awkward silence, Gwen shouted "Look a shooting star, Make a wish, Ben!" Ben proceeded to look up, spotting a very familiar asteroid suddenly ever off course and come right for them.

"Run!" He shouted

"What?" Gwen Asked, looking up to find the asteroid already uncomfortably close as she got pulled by Ben as he ran. After a few seconds of silence, a deafening crash shook the earth, knocking them into a crater.

Something was off, though. The pod was much bigger than it should have been, at around the size of a tire, rather than a basketball. Expectedly, the pod opened, releasing an unexpected royal blue and magenta light as two vaguely watch like objects flew at them.

For a second, it felt like liquid flowing around his arm, before it coalesced into a watch-like machine. It was a little sleeker than the original omnitrix, but not as sleek as the alien force omnitrix. He quickly looked over at Gwen, only to find she was sporting a bright magenta omnitrix. Sighing inwardly, he remembered he had an act to keep up.

"What is this!" "Get it off me". Their voices almost synchronized as the dial popped up on both of the omnitrixess (omnitri?) Steelimg himself, Ben slammed the dial down with full force, as his body began to grow in size and strength, and his skin turned stone-like with lava running through the cracks. "Heatblast" he said inwardly.

His eyes cascaded over on to Gwen's alien figure. Her body was bright red, and she had an extra set of arms and eyes, with talon-like feet. "Four-arms" he told himself. He then realized she was panicking."Calm down Gwen! I'm right here." He told her gently. "Ben?" Her eyes were panicked and watery, but they still seemed to have a strange determination. "Yeah, Gwen, I'm right here" he tried to console her.

"Since we're like this, wanna test these babies out" he asked excitedly.

Gwen seemed to brighten up at that"Yeah, I could do with relieving some stress".

Ben concentrated flame into a ball on the top of his finger, then launched it at a tree, while Gwen tried to snap a log in half, and unsurprisingly, easily succeeded.

Ben spotted a flashlight pointing at him, and then heard his grandpa's voice "Ben, Gwen, where are yo- oh holy crap!" He finally spotted them "Chill grandpa, it's us" Ben shouted, trying to calm him down.

In the forest behind them, a large fire was starting to roar. "Look out!" Max shouted as he saw a tree about to fall onto Gwen. Ben shot a fireball that splintered the tree, leaving Gwen safe.

"How are we gonna stop this fire?" Gwen asked. Though Ben wasn't sure who she was talking to, he replied "I got it!" As he raised his hands, palms outward."What's that gonna-oh" Gwen stopped herself as she saw the fires swirl into Ben's palm, before being absorbed into his body.

Ben could feel the adrenaline wearing off, since the forest fire was settled. "Follow me." Max had a stern look on his face, while Gwen was still in slight shock over the whole matter.

They walked through the woods in an awkward silence before reaching the campsite, in which the fire hat gone out. Ben concentrated, reigniting it, before sitting down on a nearby rock. "So tell me how this happened" Max asked the two aliens. "Well…" Ben recounted their story.

"… and that's how we ended up here" Ben finished.

"Can you turn back?"

"I don-…" that's all Ben could get out before his and Gwen's omnitrixes time out, leaving the two ten-year-olds where the aliens were. "So these watches let us turn into monsters?"Gwen asked.

"Not monsters, Aliens!" Max said

Ben and Gwen gave him a strange look"I mean, what else could they be?" He told them awkwardly.

He then walked towards the rust bucket, as he was getting a call.

"This is strange, right Gwen?" He asked her.

"Definitely"

They made small talk for a few

minutes when Max came back. "That was Lucy's mother, turns out she'll be joining us on the trip" he told them. Gwen groaned, while Ben just nodded, accepting it.
