Chapter 1

The smell of eggs and bacon rush through the house, as a maid calls up the stairs, "Miss Lilia; breakfast!" the girl called down, "I'll be down in a minute!" The girl was brushing her long curls as she fixed her bangs; then pulled her hair in a sides-up bun. As she began to play her favorite song, the music starts as she swayed to the music.

Her phone rings as her music continues; "Vee," she puts her phone on speaker as she begins to go through her outfits. "Like, you won't believe this, but Nelson from math class was totally crushing on me yesterday at the freshman event, I think this is the year he'll ask me to Homecoming!" both of their phones ring as the add Yukii to the call. "Yukii," Lilia states as she groans, "Is it our first day back to school?" they laugh as Lilia grabs out clothes, "So; Vee are you telling us about Daniel today or someone else?"

Yukii asked as Vee states in a matter of fact voice; "No I'm talking about Nelson and how he was flirting with me last night!" the girls laugh as Lilia finally picked out a pink dress with silver stars on it, black legging on under it, and simple cute flats. The dress had no sleeves, but it covers her shoulders so that's all that mattered. Lilia put on earrings that matched her dress on and a couple of silver bracelets as well. She turned her phone on face cam. "Alright, what do you think?" her friends give Lilia: a thumbs-up as she starts to do her makeup. Vee changes into a purple plaid shirt using it as a jacket, a white undershirt and tucked her shirt in her high wasted pants. Vee wore her hair down and wore a purple headband, cute flip-flops, and her earrings were gold suns.

Yukii; was fashioning a cute summer bob as she put on her favorite black tank-top with the Japanese Kanji for love on it, jeans, rocking black converse. Her small gages matched her green astatic; her parents don't care since her brothers would carry the family, as long as she continued to practice Kendo, which was normal since she loved it. But; that never stopped her from joining women's volleyball. Yukii's mother walks into the room; "Daughter: I need help with t.v. remote. Quickly; Riku, wants to watch t.v." the girls hang up as they laugh; Riku is the cat that Yukii's mother begged her father to buy. Now her mother treats him better than the rest of the family.

"Lilia: breakfast!" I rush out of my room and head downstairs. My grandparents are eating breakfast as they were going over paperwork for the Riverside Toy store, which gave my grandparents their fortune. "Lilia we were asked to go to a toy convention in Tokyo, you'll be here with Mrs. White for three months, because we have the convention, the world meeting in Berlin, then we have to try to make a deal in Beijing, only to return to Japan for a deal on anime gear, then we have to head to Nice, France where your grandmother on your father's side is wanting to send you the final details of your mother's whereabouts. Then we'll go to Toronto for a special doll that will be added to our Riverside dolls, and lastly a meeting in New York for the beginning of Christmas fundraiser."

I nod as they kiss me on the head and finish their breakfast as I hurry to eat my food as I look out the window and see the bus coming to the stop. "I gotta go! I love you all!" I grab my backpack and rush down the long drive to the bus stop. "I sit next Vee as Yukii turns to me, "Saw you running down the drive, too bad you could just fly down...huh?" she gave me a wink as I smack her with my English lit book, Vee takes a picture with her Java Coffee house cup as she takes a sip. Yukii and I watch her as normal. "That stuff isn't really that good is it Vee?" Yukii asked her as she posts her picture, "I do it for the views and the extra cash, for giving them more costumers."

We give her a weak smile, "Anyways I'm sure that this year we'll all have a date to homecoming!" I laugh a little, "Next year, we'll be more worried about senior prom than Homecoming; Vee." I state as she shrugs it off as she pulls out a magazine her older sister sent her from California. "Look at these dresses; with my sister working for the best of the best in L.A. we should be able to get the best dresses!" Yukii popped her gum, "I'd rather wear jeans." Vee, glances up, "No way! I even have the best teal dress picked out for you!" the bus got louder as some football players got one. I look at my phone as Vee and Yukii fight over what she was wearing to homecoming when I noticed a creepy text from an unknown number.

I look up and turn to see if anyone was texting me, I return to my screen. 'Hello Lilia, have you been practicing lately? I know for sure that if you haven't you won't stand a chance over my newest creations.' I turn to Yukii and Vee, who has the same confused face. I turned my phone to them as we all read a very similar message. "We should have a meeting in the third study room in the library today after school." They nod as we continue our morning, the bus stopped as the school was very normal. Yukii groans, "Man another year here, and then we're finished!" We walk in and right away all of our other friends rushed over. "Lilia we need you to help with the Chemistry club presentation this morning!" "Yukii the volleyball coach wants to hold practice literal three weeks early help us convince her otherwise!" "Vee the cooking club is having a cooking fiasco!" We give awkward smiles as we are dragged into club rooms as we rush to help fix their problems and hurry to our first classes.

I made it five minutes early to my first class as the teacher partially cries, "I thought I wasn't going to have my favorite student this year." I hug her as the thirty-year-old woman reads over her roster. "It seems that there are some new students that just moved into town, and one of them has our class this morning, I hope you girls can make friends with them, or they might fall into the wrong crowd." I laugh nervously as I take a front-row seat. 'I hope not, I have a lot on my plate to become the student council president next year so I'm taking on extra work and activities.'

The class slowly comes in, when a not so familiar face entered the room. I looked at him as he looks at his schedule, he had his hair cut on the sides and the rest of his curly hair was brushed into a small man bun. He wore a white shirt with a red jacket, torn jeans, and even an old dirty baseball cap on backward; I try to ignore him as he chooses the seat next to mine. He pulls out his air pods and continued to scroll through his phone. My phone buzzed as I take it out and begin to turn the volume on silent. I noticed that Vee took a picture of herself, but was talking about the other unfamiliar person talking to some guys behind her. I roll my eyes as the guy next to me talks to me, "So what's your name, hot stuff?" I look at him as I close the screen to my phone.

I notice he was talking to me, I smile, "You can call me Lilia, it's a pleasure." He takes my hand as he gives a sad handshake, I'm not impressed. "Call me Heath, I just moved here with my friends due to getting into trouble with our last school." I now didn't want to sit near him! "Is that so? So, why this little town?" he gave a dumb answer, "It was either this or a restraining order." My right eye twitched as the bell rings. Finally class; now he'll have to listen to the teacher.

The door shuts as class starts, our lesion beings because rules here haven't changed in years, that my grandparents could tell them to us. "Alright now then there is one rule that we should all know, and Mr. Douglas here, must not be aware of that rule." Heath looked at her with the biggest I don't care face. "Well? Anyone want to help him out?" Penelope, the class: know-it-all raised her hand as the teacher ignored her, "Miss Riverside why don't you tell us?" I groan in my head, but smile up to her, "Of course, Ms. Martian." I turn to him and give him a look that could kill, "Now in our school we have specific rules one of them being that there are no hats allowed in the school unless it is your band uniform." He gives me a cocky smile, "Sure thing Sweetcheeks, I'll only do it if you tell me." I roll my eyes as class starts only to figure out he isn't taking notes.

When class got out I speed walk to my next class History finally. I took my seat as Yukii walks in and plants herself next to me, "How was math Yukii?" She looked over, "Well you know my mother, she pretty much said this was the only day to talk about herself and told the long story about my family." I snicker as Mrs. Yamada was quite talkative about everything even math. We continue to laugh over it as Heath once again walks in gives me a smirk and sits next to me, "I guess fate is on my side, Miss. Riverside." I glare as Yukii rolls her eyes as the blond-haired, blue-eyed young man walks in wear her favorite color green, had pretty normal hair but was covered in pricings.

She leans close, "This guy was a pain, last class, not only did he make snarky comments at the other girls in our class but flirted with me nearly all class." I lean in as well. "Well; the guy next to me was only talking to my last class and acting nothing but rude." She looked over as our teacher started his lecture as one of the guys slept, and the other drew on his notebook. At least Yukii, Vee, and I make good grades. The bell rings as it's lunchtime for the whole school. Yukii and I wait for the class to file out when we make our move.

Vee waited for us near our lockers and held her lunch bag like it was a purse. "What are you doing?" I ask her as she jumps, "I'm trying to make it look like I'm trying a new fashion statement." I open my locker grabbing my lunch as Yukii holds her same mint green bento box since we were four. We find a nice outside table and begin to eat as Vee grumbles over the new guy in her class stating how rude he was. She showed me a better picture of him, he has a rusty red hair color and a farmer's tan, his face was covered in freckles and wore an open blue plaid shirt white tank-top, cowboy boots and a tattoo on his arm.

"Oh, he made me so mad, stating that I must be an easy catch!" I try to eat, but of course, Vee was still angry, when an all familiar group comes up to us. "You ladies look lonely would you like some friends?" I stare up at Heath who was giving us a cocky smile, "No, go eat lunch with the other dropouts over there; it looks like their old leader dropped out this morning." I state pointing to a group of punks who are almost always out of school. "They look a little lonely without their leader." Heath laughed, "Really, thanks sweet cheeks, but I'm thinking about staying in class you know, to keep up with you."

They did sit with us as the three of us try to sit at an angle. I look up and noticed Seth from my last year's AP Chemistry class. "Oh my gosh guys, look it's Seth." Vee states as she waves him over, I glare at her, "Yo, good to see you three this year." I smile back as Vee jumps over to him. "I heard you just came back from France! Was it fun?" he nods and throws his lunch away. I blush a little listing to him, as both Yukii and Vee knew I liked him. "Did you hear over the summer Lilia, Yukii, and I all went to Japan? We stayed at Yukii's family onsen!" He sits at the table next to us as we talk about our summer.

I must have been turning super red because Seth touched my head, "It looked like you're starting to gain a temperature." I pull out my compact, and low and behold I was red! "Oh dear, it seems like the summer heat has gotten to me." I wave my hand by my face. Seth looked worried, "Girls I'm running to the restroom real quick." I laugh and grab my bag. I hurry into the side corridor and open the one toilet bathroom; I lock the door and wash my hands and try to calm myself. I calm down and open the door and find Heath waiting outside. "So, you like that goodie, goodie?" I look at him shocked, "We only just met and now you think you have the right to ask me who I like?" "Of course I do, do you really not remember who we are?"

I turn and look at him, "No, if we do know each other then prove it to me." I walk back out to my friends as Heath storms over and pulled his friends into the school. "What's their problem?" Seth asked as we shrug; I look back and see them talking, I without realizing it affected the plants. The bell rings as I realize I would be an office runner. I make it to the office where I and Seth would be runners together. We talked little since a ton of students wanted to change their schedules and or leave early. By the end of the hour thirty minutes it was time for our different classes, I walk into gym class as the coach pretty much said to pick people to share a locker with and get out here for the class. I redid my hair and we started class with fitness testing.

TWEET! Everyone looked at the coach, "Alright ladies first! We'll start with the mile." We groan, well except Yukii, she was our athletic friend. She jumped on the track, "Alright let's do this!" she yelled as all the rest of us looked at her awkwardly. "Go!" he shot the race gun as we start. Yukii passed all of us and was done in five minutes, the rest was about ten...well except for the girl who had asthma. She was like fifteen minutes, but she gets better every year! By this time I was tried, "Hey sweetness I saw you running but those jugs of yours are keeping you from going faster." I look up and glare at Heath as his friends come up to the starting post.

Finally, the first day of school was over since the girls were told to shower and change. I came out looking fresh, we walked back out to the field where some of the guys are still running while others were getting talked into Football. We sit in the middle of the bleachers. "Do you see those jerks?" I ask Yukii who can spot people faster due to her love of sports. "Yes, it looks like they were fast enough to catch the coach's eye." I roll my eyes as Vee pushes me, "Look it's Henry the cute exchange student from Britain!" she jumped up and waved at him, he looked up and smiled at her.

She squealed in my ear, "Oh my, gosh; I hope he asks me to Homecoming this year!" Yukii popped her gum, "Yeah right, you have better luck with the schools number three than number two." Vee looked over, "But, Blake likes girls with green eyes, and as you can see my eyes are blue!" Yukii scoffed, "I bet that Henry will turn you down!" "Fine if he doesn't you have to wear a dress to Homecoming." They smile, "Deal!" I roll my eyes and look around the field when a pair of hands cover my face.

I freak out when a husky voice falls on my ear, "Hey good looking, are you looking for me?" I make a disgusted face at Heath as his friend's wave from the side they came up from. "What do you want?" He smiles, "Just want to talk, well not to just you, but to your friends too. Meet us, Friday night in the woods behind the school." He walks away as they go to change. I turn to the girls as they showed the same disgusted look, "We're not going." All three of us said in unison. We head to the third study room in the library and reevaluate the text from this morning.

We think about it then remember that my Uncle Flint has been out of prison for five years now a perfect amount of time to remake his pills. "I think it's time that we take our usual weekend fun and turn it into our training time." They nod, "I just hope that uncle of yours didn't do something dumb." Yukii said as we leave the room and head home. Of course, when I get home I greet Mrs. White the second owner to Riverside Toy store. You know a spicy old black woman who wanted ever child to have at least two gifts under the tree for Christmas.

I go up and start my homework then; we host a group call and talk about homework when I notice an odd creature coming out of the forest. "Hey girls I need you to get here fast and bring a hoodie. I open my window and fly over to it and find out it was a larger robot! Yukii and Vee fly over to me as we watch the robot stop as a person hops off it, the laugh this person cackled lead us to believe it was a girl. "Finally; I will destroy the first creation! But, first, where are they?"

The kid looked around lost for ten minutes before pulling out her phone. "Let's see father wanted me to bring the first creation back or destroy them; then get the notes, and then we can take over the country!" I looked confused as we watch the kid for a moment more; I was done and grabbed the kid with one of my vines. Vee used a large bubble and Yukii used electricity to destroy the machine. She wiggled around, our eyes glowed in the three colors; rose pink, green, and purple. "Are you lost?" We asked her as she stopped, "Are you the first creation?" she blasted; we give a smile, "I don't know kid are we?" The girl thought about it and before she could answer us, more hooded people came and grabbed the girl. "Look at this boys, it's the dumb kid who thinks she's better than the first creation!" the glowing wind that held the child ignored us.

I looked at them as our eyes were all glowing I see; gold, blue, and red. I look around, "Hey, we were handling that on our own." One voice sounded familiar as he spoke, "Sorry, but we have orders to collect the members of the second and third creations and bring them to our new leaders." I get my grip on the child, "But, this child isn't nearly as strong as us, we don't even know if she has powers or if she's doing his bidding!" The child was about eight, she wore a tag reading third creation.

The familiar voices spoke; "She has powers, but she has to charge them up they're not unlimited like ours." I glare, "Who's your leader?" the guys turned, "As we said earlier meet us in the woods Friday night after school." I realized who it was and flew after them, "Hold on!" They flew into the fog as I stop almost hitting a tree. I still have the girl though. I fly back only for a counter-attack. One grabs the girl but it's already late, I could get in trouble. I wish the girls luck at sneaking back home, as I sneak back into the window.

I go downstairs and find Mrs. White sleeping watching some late-night show. I wake her up and help her to her room. Then return to my room looking out the window, staring at the moon.
