2 Chapter 2: Apocalypse part 2

A black mini van speed's down a desolate desert road, before slowing to a stop. Mrs. Johnson steps out, they had been driving for 6 hour's, and the gas had finally ran out. "Damn It!" Mrs. Johnson lets out in a frustrated tone. Mia gets out and ask's Mrs. Johnson a question she didn't know how to answer, "Why did you leave Dad?" Mia asked this in a deadpan tone, eye's devoid of life.

Although Mia was only 7, she was quite intelligent for her age, she knew what was happening, she knew her father was dead, and that her mother abandoned him.

"W-well, sweetie, y-you have t-to understand, I-I had to." Although it seemed as if she was trying to convince her daughter, she was trying to convince herself.

"Okay." was all Mia said, and again it was in a deadpan manner, eye's still devoid of life. "Huh? N-no that's not enough, y-you need to yell at me, you need to punish me!?" Mrs. Johnson screamed out, she wanted to be punished, she hated herself for not walking in there to help him, she loved him, but when it really counted, she abandoned him.

"What would that solve?" Mia said, although her words seemed cold, they held weight; What would that solve?

Mrs. Johnson agreed, and told Aaron and Mia to pack their things and start walking Southeast, if they were to survive this, Washington D.C. would be their only hope, although far, they had to survive.

"Mr. President, what should we do?" a man in a black suit asked President Jameson, 48th president, the president with the highest approval rating since president Washington.

"Activate code black." President Jameson, "C-code b-black, sir that's suicide!" the man warned. "I know, I know Carl, but it's the only way, the gate that opened here is too dangerous, It's S class at least." Mr. President explained.

The class system, a system created to classify gates, portal's to the other world, there are 8 classes.

E class, the weakest class reserved for gates that is only a threat for a town at most.

D class, a class reserved for a gate that can rival a city.

C class, a class that can rival multiple city's.

B class, a class that can rival a state.

A class, a class that can rival multiple state's.

S class, a class that can rival a country.

SS class, a class that can rival multiple country's.

SSS class, a class that can rival earth in it's entirety.

This class system was established shortly after the Roswell incident, after a E class gate prematurely appeared, and the government was first introduced to the other world.
