Ordinary. Normal. Those were two of the many words politicians had begun to throw around after only a matter of days. “We must get back to normal. We can’t let them win. We will only heal when we return to our ordinary lives.”And oh how those personally affected must have resented it.

Robin continued down the road. There wasn’t much traffic. He hoped there were no cops, because his inspection had run out a couple of months back, and he hadn’t yet bothered to ask Lorre to take care of it. Robin passed his old kindergarten. He actually smiled, recalling Hendrix’s description, which made it sound like some ruin from the days of Julius Cesar, not a building he had been in daily back in 1958. Where had the time gone?
