2 Young Boy

Once more the young boy wandered into the forest, though he was not lost, he hadn't ever been lost since the first time he came, for he had a gift of no return

he gazed at the youthful fairies long auburn hair believing she hadn't noticed him for her slender back was facing toward him

'what is it' she snapped, though it came off calm and melodic

she knew why he had come, she could smell his salty tears and the ever soft whimper from his thin lips, and she could see, although not face to face she could see the blood dripping from his leg

the young boy, hurt and curious, remembered his first time here, and so, he made his way toward the youthful fairy and sat upon her lap, he couldn't have been more than eight

upon realizing what had happened the youthful fairy snarled and was repulsed by the idea of being used as a teddy bear

she was an enchantress! not a teddy bear!

and yet she seemed enchanted by this young boys bravery in placing his hopes on her for when he was hurt

'I will give once more' she sang gently stroking the young boy's soft hair

' a cat always lands on its feet' once more a butterfly flew from behind her bobbing in the air, once, twice, before turning into a ball of light trapping the boy, melting into his skin

she stroked the young boy's hair twice more as he seemed to have fallen asleep, his tears no longer

gently she pushed him off of her and he twirled doing a flip before landing softly on the ground

he seemed amazed and looked at this beautiful fairy in awe

'now go, shoo' the young boy stretched a toothy grin across his chubby cheeks before bouncing away

he grew, he grew, a popular one in sports, he never fell and could play any game with his eyes closed as he always knew his direction
