Chapter Three: The Scorpia

Dolores's D'Exhibit opening day has arrived.

Many people attended and they are not just ordinary people. Most of them are recognized personalities of San Ildefonso City. The visitors are mostly Politicians, Economists, Businessmen, and many more.

These included some members of a secret terrorist organization. They are called SCORPIA which is derived from an arachnid scorpion. The SCORPIA has eleven members and all of them are powerful. That includes Dolores Chua; The most influential and admired personality in town.

This secret Philippine Mafia which is called SCORPIA is very dangerous. Their connections and protections are very wide. Killing is their industry, their personal interests both economical and political are horrifying, their illegal businesses are just an extra income, their crimes are what they live for and to become the most powerful Mafia is what they aim for. Their existence is sacred and at the same time, bloody. Don't you dare to expose them or you'll regret why were you born. Don't you try to deceive anyone of them or you'll face death.

Philippines is becoming a Mafia state. Side by side crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, prostitution, money laundering, corruption, controlling the media, and government are signs of Mafia's presence in the country.

On the other side wall, aside from SCORPIA, another secret Mafia is developing. Merging is possible but competition is quite interesting.

But there's a one girl named Daisy White and will do whatever it takes to destroy them.

SCORPIA is led by the code name Lord Mafius. He is a Filipino-Italian with many businesses in the Philippines both legal and illegal. As a leader, he is only visible when the group has an agenda for another terrorist activity.

This is followed by Fernando Salvatierra who is the current Mayor of San Ildefonso City and his wife Veronica Salvatierra.

The group also includes the best-known Lawyer to run as Senator in the next national election, Atty. Fritz Ruiz.

And another Lawyer who is Atty. Emmanuel Cruz who handled in Magda Soliman's case. But as a SCORPIA member, he betrayed his client.

It also includes Doctor Lucia Yo, a half Filipino and half Chinese. The owner of an expensive San Ildefonso Medical Center.

Another member of the group who is also present at the event; The San Ildefonso City Police Chief, Colonel Rogelio Bautista.

As the group gathered together, Councilor Philip Dy and his wife came to the scene.

"Mayor Fernando Salvatierra and Queen Veronica Salvatierra, I'm so glad you attended our simple event." Philip said to the couple.

"Well, for what else? Dolores is my best friend. We're always there to support each other." Veronica answered.

"If it wasn't for his late father who convinced me to enter politics, I wouldn't make time for this simple event." Fernando answered.

Everyone laughed.

"Also, let's give Dolores a chance. In fact, our attendance would be a huge tribute to her father." Rogelio said.

"My late father once told me that the former Governor Benedict Chua was into public displays. No wonder, Dolores tore it up. So look, the displays are really good here. This is the most beautiful art gallery I've ever seen." Lucia said.

"Just like Dolores' beauty." Philip said.

Lorena's face twisted as she heard what her husband had said.

"Excuse me, you might forget that I'm your wife and I'm better and more beautiful than Dolores." Lorena said to his husband.

Veronica looks at Lorena's face as she knows something about Philip and Dolores's secret relationship.

"By the way, Philip, do you have a buyer of your extra house already?" Fritz's question.

"Yes! And I invited her here." Philip answered.

Meanwhile, Atty. Emmanuel Cruz is quiet all along and busy on his phone. He received Daisy White's SMS that had just arrived at the event.

Veronica has recently noticed some of Atty. Cruz's actions and she immediately whispered Col. Bautista.

"Colonel, I want you to investigate Atty. Cruz. I'm not happy anymore with his actions. I know that there's something suspicious about him." Veronica's whisper words to Rogelio.

"Atty. Cruz!" Rogelio called Atty. Cruz to get his attention.

Atty. Cruz turned his attention to his fellow members.

"I'm sorry, I'm just talking to my daughter to stay at home." He answered.

However, Veronica recently saw Atty. Cruz's daughter who is busy flirting with someone else at the event.

"How come Atty. Cruz that you are talking to your daughter at home? I see Elisa now and she's busy with a rapist businessman near the Chocolate fountain. It looks like you were not informed that she was invited here!" Veronica said.

"Seriously?" Atty. Cruz replied like he can't believe what he just heard from Veronica.

And he saw his daughter with a businessman who was once charged with rape and child abuse.

"Excuse me for a while." Atty. Cruz left his group and approached his daughter to stay away from the criminal.

While Veronica is thinking of something about Atty. Cruz,

"I smell a snake shedding its skin. Col. Bautista, I think, your duty is not yet done today." Veronica's whisper words again to Rogelio.

This means that Veronica would like to have Col. Bautista to investigate Atty. Cruz about his unique behavior and actions.

"I'm sure that it's easy for Col. Bautista. By the way, Councilor Philip Dy, where's your sure buyer?" Fritz asked Philip again.

"She said she's already here." He answered.

Philip immediately saw Daisy White entering from the entrance door. She is wearing a beautiful white gown, expensive jewelry, curly blonde hair with a sophisticated look. A beautiful young lady who looks like European but pure Filipina.

"There she is!" Philip said while looking Daisy at the entrance door.

Daisy saw Philip's waving at her. And she also saw Philip's companion and these are members of SCORPIA; the MAFIA she would like to vanish in the world.

All the members of SCORPIA are looking at Daisy White. They were all amazed at how beautiful a woman in front of them. Except for Veronica who went from head to toe to scan Daisy White. Little did they know that this woman in front of them is going to destroy their group.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you, your new neighbor in town. Her name is Daisy White." Philip's introduced Daisy White to his companion.

"Daisy White! Such a wonderful name and a beautiful lady in front of us. A perfect personification of purity and innocence." Fritz appreciation to Daisy's beauty.

Atty. Ruiz kissed Daisy's right hand. Symbol of greetings and respect.

When Daisy saw Atty. Ruiz's face, she remembered that this was the opponent lawyer who humiliated Magda during the trial of the case.

While Mayor Fernando Salvatierra seems to have his world stopped rotating when he saw how beautiful, lovely and magnetic Daisy White is.

"It's great connecting with you Miss Daisy White. I'm the Mayor of this town Fernando Salvatierra." Fernando introduced himself to the beautiful lady.

Fernando and Daisy shake their hands and at the same time, he looks at Daisy's beautiful smile. He can't explain his feeling. A feeling which is very familiar already. It's the same feeling when he saw Magda for the first time. Love at first sight.

When Daisy saw the Mayor's eyes, she remembers nothing but the heartbreak Magda gave to him. Magda rejected Fernando's feeling and confession before due to this man was already committed to Veronica.

Veronica noticed that it took a moment before Fernando released Daisy's hand.

Dr. Yo was next to kiss Daisy White's cheeks.

"Hello, my dear." Lucia's greeting to Daisy.

Daisy remembered that Dr. Lucia Yo presented a drug test result during the trial showing that Magda is positive for Cocaine. Unfortunately, Magda was unable to dispute the false positive drug test result.

While Col. Bautista turned and bowed to Daisy White.

"Good Evening Miss Daisy White." Rogelio's

Daisy remembered how cruel Magda had been in Colonel's hands while in jail. Magda was raped and tortured in Rogelio's hands.

"Thank you as in many thanks." That's what Daisy said with a smile while she was trying to keep her wrath of these people in front of her.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Daisy White. I'm the Mayor's wife." Veronica said while giving Daisy a fake smile.

Veronica just greeted Daisy White and never shake hands or even kiss her cheeks.

Daisy never expected anything from Veronica because she knows how awful this woman behavior is. So, she ignores what Veronica said to her.

"It's an honor to meet all of you." Daisy said.

Veronica noticed the look in her husband's eyes on Daisy White. Veronica also felt that this woman is carrying something else.

"And also, tomorrow is the house tour. I'm 101% sure that Daisy would love our house." Philip's assuming words.

"So, Miss Daisy White, of all the beautiful mansions here in San Ildefonso City, why did you choose Councilor Dy's?" Fritz's question to Daisy.

"For someone like me leaving alone, I prefer a Cape Cod House Style." She answered.

Philip nodded with a huge smile on his face same with Lorena.

"I assure you Miss Daisy White that you will not regret the house you want to purchase." Philip's assurance to Daisy.

"In addition, it's a classic cape cod home that does beach decor right." Lorena said with a very proud face.

"I think, a signing contract must be done immediately tonight." Lucia said.

"For your information Dr. Lucia Yo, it's a signed agreement to purchase the house and not a contract one. Daisy White is definitely our sure buyer." Lorena's disagreement to Lucia's statement.

"Well, that's what I'm trying to say." Lucia replied.

"Let's see! Anyways, I don't have a high standard when it comes to purchasing a property." Daisy said.

While Daisy is in front of these people behind Magda's misfortune. She can't help herself but shoot these people regardless if it's in public.

As Daisy cannot resist, she took her gun out from her pouch and immediately pointed it in front of the members of SCORPIA.
