90 How do I take care of my angry wife?

She always thinks that his feelings are fake. He has changed. He genuinely wants to protect her and make her happy. She has lived in the past for so long. He wants her to look toward the light. How long does she plan to live like this? 

He wants to make her happy. She won't give him a chance. She's hellbent on overthinking his intentions.

It's easy to say ask someone to move on and take the hand. For that someone, it might be difficult to even take a small step toward the light. If one stays in pain too long, they forget the meaning of love and care. They see everything through the broken pieces of their hearts. Asking someone who isn't ready to move on is akin to ask a child to run when he hasn't even learned to stand yet.

Kiyohira is too angry to stay. He drives straight to Kamiyama Groups HQ, hoping to cool down before he faces her again. One of them has to be cool-headed. Since she has taken the role of the bomb that can blast anytime in their marriage, he will become the one who comes back with a giant fire extinguisher to quench the fire to save their marriage.

When he enters his office, he sees where Mizutani sat before. In a formal suit that didn't fit him properly, the boy straightens up as a pole and looks at him with a rigid face. "Imamura Ken reporting."

"..." Is this military?

The new secretary is recommended to the HR department by Mizutani Isami before she left. He sighs when he looks at the boy with a goofy smile. The boy is straight out of college. Kiyohira doesn't like new and inexperienced people around him. But He trusts that Mizutani won't recommend him if the boy isn't capable.

"How do you know Mizutani?" Kiyohira asks him. He still can't see the reason why someone like Mizutani would recommend a boy like her.

The boy blushes hard. "She's the elder sister of my girlfriend."

"..." Kiyohira is speechless for the second time of the day. Did he overestimate Mizutani? He just shrugs it off. He will give this boy a chance for the sake of Mizutani's years of service.

He needs to think. His wife is angry. How does he appease her? Forget about her falling in love with him, she might divorce him at this rate. He shouldn't have told her. They have been good for a day. She's been becoming soft toward him. 

"Kamiyama San." The goofy Imamura Ken places the cup of the chamomile tea in front of Kiyohira. His boss looks troubled. Mizutani San has told him to prepare that tea when Kamiyama San is in a bad mood. The boss certainly looks like he's in a bad mood. "If you have any problem, please tell this secretary. I will do anything to find a solution."

"Is that right?" Kiyohira creases his brow slightly. "Then, tell me how do I take care of my angry wife?"

Imamura Ken could never imagine that he would receive such a problem to solve on his first day. He clears his throat and thinks about the time when his girlfriend is mad at him.

"Boss, when my girlfriend is angry with me, I send her an expensive gift."

"A gift?" Kiyohira frowns deeply. She doesn't like jewelry or fancy dresses. Should he hand over the gaming company to her? She was interested in becoming a gaming champion once. Her talent is not lacking. He should use this to distract her while he deals with Chisa. If she is angry after she finds out, he will deal with it.

He's on his way out when he comes across Eichi in the elevator. The day is certainly not going good.

"Isn't this the newly married man?" Eichi is surprised to see him. "You got married yesterday. You are here today. Are you insane or the sex was that bad? You didn't even invite me to the wedding."

Kiyohira resists the urge to punch the guy. "Why are you curious?"

"I want to know what my friend was thinking when he decided to marry a woman was once his stepsister." Eichi shakes his head. "Choosing her over Chisa, just what were you thinking?"

"If you want Chisa so much, you can have her." Kiyohira hasn't forgotten that this man tried to make a move on Rie once. Chisa is quite suitable for this man. 

"All the women who are charmed by you don't look at me." Eichi sighs. "I did try to take your fiance away, but she refused my advances in such a polite way that I actually felt bad for doing it."

"After going after each woman who has once interested me, you still call yourself my friend." Kiyohira stares at him. "I don't care what you did before. Don't show yourself to Rie."

"Kiyohira, I am not that crazy." Eichi shields his eyes. "Why would you marry a woman who stabs eyes? Think about it. If you ever fight with her, she might turn you blind."

Kiyohira purses his lips. He had a small argument with her in the morning. She slapped him countless times. His cheeks are still stinging. Luckily, his eyes are still intact. "She won't do that to me."

"Men in love are crazy." Eichi follows him when he gets out of the elevator. "What do you like about her though?"

"What's there not to like?" Eichi hears Kiyohira say before he gets into the car. "If you are so free, get me the list of H groups' supporters. I want to offer a better deal to them."

"Are you crazy?" Eichi yells. Kiyohira is already driving away. He watches his car with a deep frown. Kamiyama Shintaro would never join hands with those kinds of people. Why is Kiyohira embarking on that path?

"What the hell is wrong with this man?"
