4 4. Arrival

The shiny black vehicle pulled up in front of the gates, and this iconic scene which signifies the presence of the greatly adored Young Master Noah Brihms demanded attention, no matter how many times it had been repeated in the eyes of the students if Tulips Jones High School.

The Young Master did came out, but then another figure alighted from the sedan as well- Luna Emerald.

Instantly the hearts which were the eyes of the great Noah Brihm's senior fans turned into flames. And not just any ordinary red-orange flames- but blue flames.

Luna paid no attention whatsoever and proceeded to enter the school building, followed by Noah. A few minutes later, she came out carrying some art supplies while Noah carried two enormous book bags that were royal blue and marble grey in colour. With one look, the students could deduce that both bags belonged to Luna- she had always liked cool, dark and neutral colours that seemed to resonate with the mysterious and calming vibe she had within herself.

The juniors were stunned. Why did it seem as if both seniors were moving out?

One junior asked her sister about this matter and the big girl could only sigh frustratedly.

"Both power seniors were offered to study at Imperial Hibiscus. That's such a once in lifetime chance- why would Luna ever let it go?" She was one of Noah's fangirls, so she naturally knew that he had previously studied there and to enrol in the prestigious institute again was not a big deal for him, and his family, for that matters.

"Yea, I heard Luna was offered a full scholarship by the school itself!" One senior offered his knowledge about the matters. He had overheard the teachers talking about it as they discussed, with envy, about how the principal had received a handwritten note from the unapproachable glacier girl herself.

"No…" a few young maidens heart was broken into pieces as they stared with heartache at the leaving vehicle carrying their one and only Young Master Noah.

The atmosphere inside the sedan descended into a comfortable silence after Noah had finished talking to the chauffeur. He turned his head sideways to ask whether Luna is comfortable or not, only to be stunned by the sight that immediately greeted his eyes.

The girl was calmly looking outside the window, and beneath the baseball cap that she used to hide her hair that was tied up tightly in a bun, a tiny strand of hair escaped underneath it.

Her hair was shiny black, the darkest shade of it he had ever seen. He squinted, and upon further observation he noticed the black hair glowed...

Golden.

He blinked, feeling as if he was still groggy from sleep. He opened his eyes just to see the sttand had disappeared, and the girl was calmly retracting her hand that had just lowered the baseball cap, nearly covering the upper rim of her glasses.

He blinked. Was he imaginig things?

The chauffeur noticed the girl was extremely calm- in fact, too calm for an ordinary person with a simple background. Any common person who just entered this expensive and exquisitely made car would surely look around in amazement, and even those who feigned elegance would held curiosity and amazement deep in their eyes. He had worked under one of the richest families in the country and it was common that he had interacted with those snobbish kids in the capital city.

Therefore he was extremely familiar with the way those who were fake would act. But this young lady was truly calm- or her mastery and control over her psychology and physical state was simply terrifying.

After all, for him to be chosen as one of the workers who would constantly have close contact with the Young Master means his abilities and means weren't simple.

Sensing their gazes, she remained unperturbed and silent, like an immortal sitting on her throne while the mortals continued to admire her.

The sedan slowed for a bit, and a familiar sight entered Noah's sight. The majestic building with its crystal white and light blue walls, the expensive, French windows decorating the walls of the classroom, and the humongous black gate that made the grand school seemed even more prestigious, if that was possible.

And it was.

The sedan fully stopped. Luna threw her glance out of the window, lifting her head from staring at the laptop in her lap. She shut the laptop down before nodding politely to the driver and stepped out gracefully.

She noticed that some girls were already waiting from inside the gates, throwing curious and excited glances to the shiny sedan that had just stopped in front of the gates. Seeing a girl emerge from within it made them froze, before their eyes burned with extreme jealousy.

They saw the girl taking out a worn-out luggage from the bonnet of the car before smoothly landing it on the ground, pulling it leisurely as she made her way to the entrance of their school. Seeing the foggy glasses, the sallow skin and glaring red bumps on the girl's face and the faded oversized sweaters and black pants with her hair fully hidden in a baseball cap they couldn't even make out the colour of her hair, their eyes mellowed down a little as they remembered there was also another student transferring here from the same school as their Young Master Noah.

It seemed like she had an ordinary background with an unbelievably hideous face, to boot.

They were sure the esteemed Young Master wouldn't fall for such an unworthy girl and the jelaousy in their eyes slowly mellowed down to mocking glances directed towards the commoner.

Students like her, who relied on scholarship and doesn't have a good background were called peasants here. They weren't sure why the school dared to give her their first ever scholarship, as they heard that her grades, her skills and even her manners were average.

Luna recognized their glances as she chuckled softly under her breath. She didn't want to bother them and turned her gaze away, ignoring them. Fortunately the girls didn't bother about her anymore as their eyes were now glued at the handsome young lad making his way out of the sedan. The boy's hair danced lightly in the breeze, and instantly the girls could practically hear the sound of an arrow, particularly a love arrow as it burst through their hearts, making it melt into a puddle of pink goo. Their cheeks flushed red and their eyes turned into Valentine hearts.

The appearance of a starstruck fan.

Luna was speechless. How many times had this scene happen at their old school? Literally daily, since the day that this boy who looked like an angel that had fallen from Heaven placed his feet inside the gates of their school.

And she felt weird- How was it that there was always a 'light breeze' that made his hair waltz in the air, that always seemed to came whenever he made his appearance?

It was too logic-defying.

They both made their way into the school, with Luna insisting that she will catch up to him later. He knew it was not because she was embarassed- her innate pride and elegance was deeply imprinted right down to her bones. He briefly noticed her phone buzzing for a bit before the screen turned completely dark.

Her privacy and personal space were two things he knew she would never let anyone intrude. Hence, he left after telling her the directions to the school's office and that he would wait for her there.

She just nodded her head. Watching as the chauffeur drove farther away and the boy walking in the direction opposite to hers, she took out her phone, keyed in the password before clicking an ickn which only had a blotch of royal blue, surrounded by the darkest shade of black that filled the square icon.

Her eyes flashed briefly with ruthlessness as the air surrounding her turned depressingly cold, decresing the temperature and increasing the pressure by a drastic amount. It was felt by even far away, making Noah turn his head even and stare at her as he felt a slight discomfort from the pressure and the chill. He exhaled deeply and blinked twice before the temperature returned to normal and the horrifying pressure dissappeared as if it had been his illusion all along.

Luna exited the app and shut down her phone, and the mysterious icon instantly disappeared as if it had never been on the phone's interface all along.

He then saw the girl walking towards him, pulling her luggage. He didn't know what she was thinking as her facial expression were always carefully hidden.

Heck, he had never even seen her face before!

The girl walked beside him and together, they made their way towards the school's main office to complete all their registration process. Both were comfortably silent, their thoughts unknown.
