13 13. Really Warming Up

Silence lingered.

"L-l-l-Luna... What? W-w-what just happened? Luna?! Pinch me NOW!" Camellia screamed, excited out of her skull.

The other 4 boys are still gawking in shock. If Luna were to draw them in anime version wih her excellent drawing skills, their jaw would have dropped to the floor.

" Luna...why?" Noah asked, after a longer bout of silence.

She sighed. She felt a headache incoming. She knew this day would come- but since their meeting happened earlier than planned she had to sped up her plans. She sighed inwardly, silently regretting it.

" I have to. Anyway- I'm here to protect you, as of order by the country of Grozeia. You are all the national heirs and hopes, silently representing the country."

"W-wait... are you a soldier or something?" Emmanuel asked. Luna's words were a bomb to them- a nuclear-no, a supernova explosion had just occured inside their brains. " My dead parents... they were one of the best special agent and Advanced Forces member. I took up the job because I want to- This is their last mission." An air of melancholy flashed by her, but it swiftly disappeared.

" I was supposed to keep it a secret but since this meeting happened earlier than planned I figured it would be fine."

Their shocked faces mellowed into relief. However, doubt crept up someone's heart, but it was silently suppressed.

" Woah... this-this-just woah." Adam gasped. " I had to. Since my actions from now on may be questioned, but..." Her eyes stared straight into each and every one of them, staring straight into the deepest corner of souls, "Trust me." her voice mellowed out.

It faded into the distance, but the essence of it gathered in each of their hearts.

Today had been the day where everything began. In the future, they would look back to this day and a certain person in another's arms will shake her pretty head, sighing that everything proceeded too fast.

But as of now, Luna's gently charismatic voice had reverbrated in the caves of their hearts. Afterwards, each person went back to their homes, keeping silence of the event that had just transpired.

They trust her.

The very next day, as Luna went inside the school, she felt annoyingly disgusted. The hand in the pocket of her black hoodie was hidden from view. Otherwise, the delicate students here would freak out at the sight of it. She put her backpack inside the classroom before silently dashing towards the washroom. On the way, a muscular hand grabbed out to her. She wanted to hit the hand, instinctively but upon realizing whose arms it was she let herself be pulled inside the room.

And sure enough, all her 5 friends were waiting for her there. " Before anything- let me go to the bathroom first. Or the sink." Having a slight germophobia, she felt her hands getting irritatingly disgusting as time passed.

She pushed through and went to the sink. Soon, blood-red water awashed the sink bowl, causing the 5 people around her to stood upright in shock.

" Just had to eliminate some... pests."

Rafael came forward and worriedly touched her knee. She flinched. He magically brought out a medical box, sitting her down on a couch before pulling up her pants. She was surprisingly light in his arms. Her hand stopped his from folding up her pants, slowly saying, " No need. I'll do it myself."

He shook his head no. Slightly tired, she nodded her head, slumping on the couch. He was surprised.

She wasn't the type to trust others so easily, isn't she?

His hands folded up her pants, revealing the snow-white, flawless skin under. It glistened under the light like a piece of jade so smooth it instantly charmed anyone who set their sights upon it.

Wait... her skin...

The rest of them looked upon her face and hands, noticing the pale yellow, sickly color of her skin.

Luna sighed. Rafael was too fast.

She cleared her throat. "Um, don't bother asking."

" Why not?" Emmanuel playfully asked.

An ice cold glance passed by him like the swift blades of the winds, and it only took him a mere milisecond to realize it was Rafael's.

" I won't bother answering." Luna answered casually, leaning back slightly on her hands placed behind her.

Rafael silently glanced at her, his hands softly touching her ankle. Luna shivered and retracted her feet, but his powerful grip forced her to stay.

She paused. His grip, although strong, was gentle and warm- unlike...

Shutting her eyes, she said in a soft voice. "Thanks."

Adam looked up from his phone. "Luna... did they have any sort of strange tats on their arms?"

She nodded. " Yeah. Delinquent Ambrosia."

Their brows jumoed in shock.

Rafael silently clenched his fist.

Noah's teeth were gritted so harshly, but he didn't feel the pain.

Camellia gasped. "That Ling Yi..."

Delinquent Ambrosia was a gang under the Ling family, and they were one of the most feared gang in the continent.

Ling Yi must've complained to her father about yesterday's incident, prompting him to order the Delinquent Ambrosia to send 20 of their very best fighters to hurt Luna!

Luna's brows jumped minutely, before she snorted softly.

"Under the Lings? Interesting..."

A mysterious smile, hidden from view, curved beneath her mask.

"They really picked the best time- Just in time for me to warn father of terminating our contract." Emmanuel said.

A small crease formed on Luna's forehead.

Noah, closely observing her expression, stated, "But it won't be that easy. How did you get your father to-"

" Another contract. With me. You rascal."

Rafael snorted slowly. The rest of them immediately understood. 2 years ago, Rafael created his own company without the knowledge of anybody else except his closest friends. He did not want to use his family's influence at all, so much that he even hired an acting CEO for the company and deliberately hid his informations.

After much hardships, hia company has now become a fast rising company on a global scale, attracting many investors, and project, and even the government. Till now, his identity was kept hidden securely under wraps.

When Luna was told all this, she merely nodded in agreement at Rafael's achievements.

Truth be told, when she just found out she was surprised there was someone that could reach her level. Prior to knowing them and meeting them head on, she had already known their necessary informations with a tap of her finger.

After all, she was....

" Luna?" Noah's voice pulled her back to reality.

" Nothing- sorry. What?" Her blank look made him imagine a set of furry ears on her head and a fluffy tail behind her. It was just not him, the image was almost nearly imprinted to their minds-

Isn't this a bit too cute?!

She sighed. They were just the same as the adults back home.

The bell than rang, signifying the start of the school day.

Luna folded her pants down and went out of the room lile a flash of light, so fast they could even feel the gush of wind passing by them.

Soon, they started to chase after her, before each went to their own respective classes.
