12 12. Meet-up

Luna's eyes were fixed on them. She then turned to the board, erased her previous writing and wrote a new one:

'Quanda Mall, Saturday. 10 a.m.'

She closed the cap of the marker and looked back at them, expectantly and unusually eager. Breaking out of the trance, the other 5 could only helplessly nod as Emmanuel whipped out his phone. "Would you like to join our group chat, Luna?" He was evidently nervous, seeing how he even dropped his usually formal and polite manner of addressing her as 'Miss'.

Luma simply nodded. She had given them her phone number earlier and had no qualms being with them. She did not know why her usually untrusting heart suddenly want to trust these 5 in front of her. Even if the enemy of her enemy was her friend, they shouldn't have earned her trust this quickly.

A familiar feeling arose in the pits of her stomach, and her gaze towards them turned inquiring and a bit aggressive.

Her aura made the sense of familiarity hanging on the other 5's hearts burst and grow, and their stares clearly indicated their shock.

Both sides quickly shook it off, not knowing what the future will tell...

Luna stepped out of the room, understandingly giving them space to sort out their thoughts, which without a doubt, would be about her.

As the footsteps faded into silence, Adam cleared his throat. "Lia...?"

Camellia threw them a helpless gaze before she elaborated on how she had came to discover about Luna's fatal ability.

" Noah. You really have no clue?" Emmanuel nodded.

Noah sighed. He, among all the others, had been proud that he had been the one to spend time longest with Luna. But she had hid herself well, so well even his family's intelligence forces couldn't suspect a thing. Her record was as clean as a whistle, not even a trace of suspicion could arose from it.

He should've known. No matter how, one is bound to have a black mark againdt their records, and hers, which were so very clean should be suspected of even more. But he had come to trust her that he didn't care about it anymore.

" Familiar." Rafael's cold voice was tinged with the slightest warmth.

The other 4 looked at him before turning their gaze towards the ground.

"Yep." Came Emmanuel's quiet voice.

"Well, let's head back to class. I hope... and I'm sure she'll open up to us more in the future." Camellia sighed. She went out of the room, followed by the rest.

Rafael who was staying behind called someone. " I need some cleaning to be done here." he then hung up his phone and went towards the door, but his gaze suddenly landed on the katana swords Luna had touched earlier.

He recalled her writing of 'Nice metal.' on the board earlier. His fingers grazed the swords' surface, and he somehow felt a different type of coldness on the sword's surface. Was it left by the girl? The sense of familiarity to the chill was nipping at the tip of his fingers, and he quickly pulled back, as if electrified.

He saw his men coming towards the room, and he left the room with wide strides.

The class proceeded peacefully for the rest of the day, save for Luna receiving the spiteful glares and red-hot anger directed towards her. Ling Yi and her minions were also giving her the cliche rough shoulder-brushes, making her scoff internally at their childish attempts to get rough with her.

When they were still in their diapers, she had set a record for assembling and dismantling the gun. Psh.

After the last bell rung, Luna calmly organized her newly received books and iPad into her sling bag, holding her 'old-fashioned' phone in her hands. She kept her head down while avoiding any of the students like they were carrying a plague, her steps nimble and graceful and she soon disappeared from sight.

Ling Yi gritted her teeth in anger. She started to nibble on the skin on her fingers, a bad habit she had developed since she had been a wilful child, which will act up whenever the little princess didn't get her way. Anger was boiling up inside her.

Luna had sensed her pair of eyes following her since class, but she felt Ling Yi was just another stumbling clown in her life.

And it's as if she wasn't even aware how worthless she is in Luna's eyes.

As she turned a corner, a black car came to pick her up. She went inside, and the low-key military car quickly arrived at a camping base. Luna went out and nodded her head politwly towards the driver, before making her way into an underground tunnel invisible to eyes who did not receive her permission to know about its existence. In the tunnel, a high-tech, cool blue lift pad came to her. She stepped on one lightly, and the pad zoomed downwards. Afyer she arrived at her secret rook, she gave the pad a smile before turning around indifferently.

A man was lying inside the coffin.

Luna sighed, and pulled her basketball cap. Her black hair that gleamed golden spiraled down towards her waist like a dazzling, mystical waterfall, the kind where unicorns would love to drink in. She lifted her eyeglasses, and the unbelievable pupils of dark, velvety purple mixed with swirls of silver flitted across the room. As her gaze landed upon the young man's face, she couldn't help but marvel at his good looks, which were nearly identical to her. Except, his facial features were distinctively masculine.

A sharp jawline, pale, sicklt white skin, lips red as blood due to the coldness, his black hair gleaming brownish-golden and his sharp, mountain-shaped thin eyebrows made a perfect combination, an irresistible one, on his one face.

As her hand unintentionally grazed his cold skin, she clenched his hand tightly, hoping to give him some warmth.

Her eyes gleamed red,as the oath of revenge had been planted deep inside her heart the moment he disappeared.

Thank goodness you're here. Now, just watch how I'll make those guys kneel before you and made you beg for forgiveness, for my safety. Now, I'm stronger- so let me...

Be the one to protect you this time.

At this moment, her phone chimed. Her eyes reverted back to its mesmerizing, static state and she calmly analyzed the new report she had been given.

Her lips curled up imperceptibly.

Saturday, 1000.

Camellia tapped her foot excitedly, waiting for Luna's arrival. Noah held a few plastic cups of high wuality milk tea in his strong hands, making the veins on his muscular arms pop up attractively. Emmanuel and Adams chatted about the recent thesis E.H just released, while Rafael was staring down at his phone, lips curling up coldly.

He sensed something. Whipping his head up, the figure of a petite young girl came into view. She was wearing a loose gray sweater with loose black jeans, a creamy cap, and black sneakers to top it all off. She was wearing a black face mask, and her round eyeglasses were still as foggy as before.

Luna glanced at them. It seems they were oblivious to the stares of the blushing girls and admiring boys that passed by them. Or maybe, they just didn't care anymore. Luna noticed the presence of at least 20, 'harmless' bodyguards around them, and figured that there is actually more situated around the mall.

She went up to them. She nodded and walked

towards the luxurious coffee shop. The rest were following behind her docilely, making her subsconciously think of them as yelliw little chicks following their mama chick.

The image overlapped in her mind and she snorted inwardly. Though this behaviour reminded her of someone...

In the coffee shop, she went to the farthest seat. Picking up the menu, she then ordered for a creamy milk latte on the order sheet. The rest followed with their favourite drinks.

" I'll start. "

An unbelievably melodic voice rolled over, and the person speaking was still with a calm countenance.

However, the people sitting around her looked as if they have been struck by thunder.
