1 1.Intrusion

Glossy black-golden hair ruffled beneath the warm blanket. One fair arm sticked out of the covers, a gleaming sapphire dangling from the bracelet adorning the slender wrist. Her eyes opened, her expression akin to that of a lazy mystical beast. Swirls of silver soon mixed in with the gleaming dark purple of her pupils. The cold in the room matched her current aura, fatally calm, deathly cold. The rustles between the bushes and the soft footsteps, the soft noises could still be captured by her sensitive ears. Her eyes glinted sharply like the blade of the dagger mysteriously produced in her hand.

The next second, the figure had completely disappeared from the room, along with the warmth that she carried, allowing the room to be no different than that to an icy, mysterious cave.

An agile figure slipped into the room unnoticed. Her eyes coldly observed the 'greens' in front of her, all 10 of them carrying a Glock of whatever model they preferred. She coldly curled the corners of her tantalizing cherry-red lips. 'Total amateurs.' she thought to herself as she scanned all the other figures in the room. If those figures, who are the top 10 assassins and secret agents in the world know that they were viewed as no more than an ant in her eyes, they'll surely cry themselves a river.

After all, their hands were stained with blood, countless of them that they have viewed human lives as grass.

Before she made her moves, she decided to hold back as their conversation made the coldness emanated from her body turn into a windy cal of death.

"Eagle, seriously- what is it that they so wanted to find out? It's just a freaking journal of that now incapable boy!"

"And that boy is Andrew Alsont. Do you even know who his backer is?"

"Pah! Even if he had a really strong backer, he won't be stronger than us! Otherwise, Chief wouldn't be able to bring him back to the base."

The man called Eagle whispered, "Do you even know that when Chief took him the boy was alone, but Chief himself had to undergo countless bouts of surgeries and had even turned into a vegetable state for almost a year? Up till now the Chief still hadn't recovered, in fact, his days are numbered."

"What?! But- that's our chief! The most skilled person in the most powerful assasin organization in the world! How?!!"

The girl hiding in the dark smirked coldly, and thought, 'That's because he's too much of a bastard and a trash.'

The Eagle person continued, " Yes- and there's rumor if that boy's backer showed up he wouldn't have made it out alive."

"No way!"

Eagle sighed. Pinching his glabella, he started to feel a little bit... off.

Instantly he heightened his senses and surveyed the room, but there isn't anyone else therr except for his group. He brushed it off and said, "Come on, let's retrieve that journal and get back to sleep."

Thud-

"Too bad- you'll have to keep awake." the voice was so deep amd mesmerizingly fatal, it was hypnotising.

And all the 9 people surrounding Eagle fell down to the floor with a thud, their eyes wide open in disbelief and horror. All their neck had an extremely precise slit of 6mm in length, and blood gushed out like there's no tomorrow.

Eagle widened his eyes before he reached for the gun in his waist. As his hands swiftly made moves, he realized...

His gun. It was gone.

He strained his eyes towards the demon walking towards him in a domineering manner.

To his surprise, it was a demoness.

A young one, at that. Her mouth opened and once again words came tumbling out in a sweeter, more feminine voice.

"Eagle... nest?"

Eagle's deep-set eyes contracted immensely as he trained it upwards, searching for something in her eyes. And once he saw the enchanting silver swirling in the deep, deep abyss that is her eyes, he knew.

His death was near.

He was the Chief's confidante, and Chief had talked about how that boy's backer was so mysterious and there's only a rumor widely known about 'him'.

'His' eyes. They were the only pair of it in the world, as what this person had gone through was something unable to be comprehended by the normal humans. It is said that 'he' had a deep, purple whirlpool of eyes filled with silver stars that seems to be swimming in them.

And now he had met this legendary pair of demonic, soul-sucking eyes.

And that 'he' was a young 'she'.

"You know..."

'His death is near.' he chanted in his heart. "I wish for you to end me.. quickly." He gave up on fighting, seeing the cold and lifeless body of his Chief on the hard ground.

She curled her lips. " Granted that you tell me something."

He nodded weakly.

"My brother... who's keeping him?"

She had known where he is.

Eagle's heart shook. His loyalty on one side and his peace on the other- it was an inevitably hard choice.

"No. I'm sorry."

"Hmmm.... then I'll keep you alive."

He was surprised.

" Where you are clinically alive, wishing for death everyday but unable to. Where your eyes had been peeled open..."

She paused for dramatic effect.

"To see the horrible, lifeless state Isaia had to be in. Deal?"

His body shrunk to the ground as his belief seems to have been broken. Twitching painfully, he asked, "What...have you done?!"

"Oh. Just sprinkled some poisonous powder that'll rot your muscles and bone and grow them back.. countless of times. As for Isaia... why don't you wait and see? But I'll give you a sneak peek- she'll have to watch on as her older brother be tormented in such a horrible way...."

" Say, when her belief in life had been broken, she'll become a lifeless puppet. And you know why I love that? Because then she's easier to control. And who knows what I might tell her to do...hmm?"

"Demon." he spat out.

"I'm never an angel to begin with. Now... tell, or..."

He closed his wavering eyes.

"Julian, Chief's son."

She laughed, her laughter bright and melodious like silver bells but in Eagle's ears they were the call of death. "I didn't even want to hurt your sister- at least, I, your grandma has her own principles. But then... thank you. You saved me a whole lot of trouble."

5 seconds later, she walked out of the room leisurely, as all the unbreathing, still warm figures suddenly turned into ashes upon her touches against the keyboard.
