4 Chapter 3

May was busy, she was always busy. She worked night shift at a popular club as a bartender, in her mind she was more of a head shrink, or a physiologist maybe, no mater. As she cleaned glasses and goblets she heard someone come in. She turned to find a young girl, a pretty thing, dresses in a form fitting silver dress and black leggings, with a black leather jacket sitting at the bar.

"Aren't you a might young to come to a place like this?" She asked but quickly answered herself "that's not mine to question, do you want somthing to drink?"

The girl, who seemed somehow to not be quite human replied "can you make a Shirley temple? I don't want to get to sloshed." Her voice was high, and melodious.

"Sure can," may replied making it quickly then asking "would you happen to be one of tonight's singers? You sure have a pretty voice."

The girls laugh sounded like wind chimes taping each other softly "no, but maybe some day" she said, then vanished into the crowd. That girls laugh stayed with May for the rest of the night.
