3 Chapter 2

Natalia walked in the front door of the apartment she was renting. She was using a fake ID and drivers license, but she had made the license this time and it wasn't half bad. Usually it was one of her buddy's in the states job to make the license but she had been bored and had him teach her, via Skype.

She dropped her school bag on the couch, sat down and pulled out her laptop.

It was a clunky thing. She had made it herself, with pieces she picked up here or there, at the occasional after school job. Inside it was as good as she could make it, which her buddy's had said was top of the line, if not better.

It was a normal day, the normal questions, the normal everything. That would of course soon change, soon she would be old enough to start making her name, the one that she would stick with for the rest of her life. This had of course token a lot of set up, fake ID, fake social media, fake 'paper trail', fake life. If anyone tried to find out who she was they would get run around so many times that they would fall of a cliff, if there were one nearby. Finally she would be able to go out, hang at clubs, make contacts, maybe even make a friend.

Up to this point her life had been anything but normal, she thought about it while coding so fast you couldn't follow her fingers. She started out with two parents, male and female, the normal 'happy' family. Then there was a burglary that went bad, and both her parents died, and she was taken. She was barely 13 months old.

After that she was the scape goat, she still had a mom, and a dad, but they constantly beat her, to "teach her a lesson" so of course she ran away. Eventually she made a friend, who made her first set of fake papers. After that she went to school. She was six years old.

She found that she knew everything they planned to teach her in first grade, so she moved on, had to, the group who got her in the first place had asked some questions at the school, and the danger level was red. So she moved on, skipped a grade or two, ended up finishing school early with a complete understanding of everything they taught. She was eleven years old.

The next time she ran she decided to skip out on school, but she was an unaccompanied minor, and the police got suspicious, so for the last three years she had been goofing off in school, while getting perfect grades. The school system couldn't decide what her deal was, was she a genius? Did she need to go to special school? That along with her "pictures", which no one would have ever seen except that there had been a tablet snaffo, meant that she had to attend a meeting with a physiologist every day.

She smiled as she thought about the runaround she had given the physiologist today, this one had been smart, and figured out almost all her tricks within a few minutes. She had gone through the whole company now, which meant they would refer her on to somthing more serious, like a looney bin or funny farm. No mater, she would be gone by morning.

Everything was packed, she had a backpack of art supplies, and a duffel with a few changes of clothes, her savings, her fake documents, and her real high school and college diplomas. All she had to pack now was her laptop, and she would be ready to go, she would blend in looking like any college kid, she looked far older than she was after all. She could and had slept on the streets, saves rent money, especially when you know how to use a knife.

She showered quickly, grabbed her bags, and was off into the night.
