1 Left alone on an important day

...

Standing outside a small floral shop was a pretty woman dressed in an alluring red dress that exposed her slim arms and legs. Her black jet hair was flowing down up to her waist and her fair white skin seemed to glow in the moonless dark night.

People passing by would glance at her every now and then, stunned at her beauty. She would hear whispers of some praising her as they walk by.

But at this moment the woman who looked like she was in her twenties couldn't care less about anything else or anyone except for the person who she was texting right now.

She attentively looked at her phone, furiously tapping away on it with a frown. The one she was messaging was nobody but her friend who was friends with her ever since kindergarten.

Sugar plum: "I am not coming tonight."

Shiny Red petals: "If you don't come there won't be anyone else to celebrate my birthday with!"

With this said, a notification popped up on the upper corner of her phone.

"Your friend 'Sugar plum' has blocked you"

"Damn it!" Diana stomped and loudly cursed, almost throwing her phone at the ground.

Despite having an appearance of a calm and gentle lady at the moment, her personality said the opposite. She was the type of person who would often fall into fits of anger which was not at all lady like.

Being ditched by her friend, she wandered around aimlessly. It was not like she was sad because her friend Sugar plum or more accurately Sarah, has been avoiding her for months now. She really wanted to know why Sarah was doing this to her but it seems like her efforts ended up in vain again.

The reason why she waited outside the floral shop was to buy a red rose for her friend in order to talk things out with her.

It may sound funny that she was buying a red rose for someone who she didn't have any romantic feelings towards. However, it had a special meaning to both Sarah and Diana. This is also the reason she was dressed in red.

Through the bustling and busy road of Country B, 'Click Clack' went the sound of Diana's red high heels. Then she stopped in front of a restaurant which was not that high class.

"Since I don't have anyone to celebrate my birthday together with then I will go in myself!" Diana thought to herself and grabbed her bag tightly and went inside.

Diana was still in college and only relied on two part time jobs to pay for its tuition. She had been saving cash some for this particular day but who thought that it would only be her coming tonight?

As soon as she got in, she ordered herself as many foods as she can. She found that eating a lot would relieve her stress.

While waiting for her food she glanced over to the next table. She saw that a boy was celebrating his birthday as well. He was cheerfully talking to a bunch of other four kids in his age and his family seemed to be there as well. Seeing this Diana felt quite gloomy and her thoughts ran wild. Before, she always celebrated her birthday with Sarah all the time.

But now... I have no one to celebrate it with...

Just then the waitress brought the food and she quickly snapped back into reality. Without a second a thought she quickly gulped down her food one by one. Then after paying she hurriedly left the restaurant to go to her house. She cannot stay for too long. After all she still had class tomorrow.
