1 Chapter 1: Meet Ishi

Rishima Lee Kim, or as what people call her, Ishi, sat in class waiting for the other students to arrive. She is always the first to be in class since she usually comes to school early to have her alone time. She has always wanted peace and quiet but can't get any anywhere since daydreaming is her usual thing which makes people despise her. It's part of her and she loves it. She would get up early, eat breakfast early, walk to school early, just to be able to do it. She gets to see things that she always wants to see, like another world, mystical creatures, all those you find in books. Even though she's already 15, she still does it. A few minutes later, students started filling in the classroom, having chats with one another. As they despised her, she despised them because she always hated having chats. It disturbs her dreaming that's why she never had friends ever since she was born. It doesn't seem fine, but it's totally fine for her. That was her normal, everyday life.

It was time for the teachers to enter their respective classrooms. Naturally, Ishi pulled out her English book and pretended like she was reading, but she was actually daydreaming. She trained herself for her body to do her usual class routine while the mind is doing another thing. "Good morning class" a teacher with glasses and her hair tied in a bun said as she walked in the classroom formally. "Good morning Ms. Uma", the class said as they stood up, which Ishi did as well. "Now today, we will be doing page 384. I see Ms. Lee Kim has prepared her English book again as always. This is such a great example of what we, teachers, expect from you. She is even reading in advance. A magnificent sight I must say. That reminds me, we will be having a test 3 days from now. Study well! Ok, moving on to the activity..."

Ishi smiled at the teacher for the notice and complement but her mind was elsewhere to concentrate on these matters. It was somewhere in a far away place that might not, in a million years, be found by humans.
