"Why hasn't the future Mrs. Costa joined us today?" Alexa asked as she twirled her straw in her drink. Sporting a new hairdo of violet-to-magenta ombre, she and Zack had asked Justin and Emily to dinner to celebrate the construction of Alexa's dream house nearly being complete.

"Filming ran late. It does that a lot," Justin explained. He had already told Alexa about how the air had been cleared since she had been invested in their relationship for so long.

"So basically it's like working overtime but every day," Zack mused. "That sucks."

Yes, it did. Especially since Justin wanted to be with his beautiful girlfriend constantly now that the weight had been lifted off both their shoulders.

But it wasn't meant to be. Most days he cooped up in the garage working on his prototype, taking short breaks to lounge around with the cats and eat.
