150 Under the Surface

Justin's brain had shut down from shock. He thought Emily just said she wanted to move in with him.

"Not in a weird way," she insisted hastily, gesturing wildly and not meeting his eyes. "I mean, we could each have our own rooms and stuff—we're not like that—but um…I'd prefer if I could continue taking care of you until you're completely better and it would be easier if we were closer like when we only lived a floor apart but I can't afford to move out of my complex on my own so yeah." She finished weakly and continued to avoid his gaze.

So she was thinking along the same lines Sam had back then—how since she practically lived at his apartment anyway it was stupid to pay two separate rents. He was over the moon.

Recovering himself, he blurted, "No, that would be great! Totally makes sense. It would be weirder if you didn't come!"

She eyed him, suspicion mingled with hope in her expression. "Really?"
