106 Justin's New Roommate

Those two weeks were among the longest of Justin's life. He and Emily texted and video called every day but it wasn't the same. He went two years without seeing her once and now he couldn't even go two weeks. Funny how things change. He spent most of the break working on coding projects and hanging out with Cookie since his parents both had to go back to work the day after Christmas.

The day before he drove home, Cookie did his best to prevent him from leaving by parking himself inside Justin's suitcase as he packed. He bent down and pet the cat, exasperated.

"You really don't want me to leave, huh buddy? Should I try to take you with me?"

Justin had already decided to pay the full rent of the apartment by himself after Tyson moved out. Most people in his complex were college students or young professionals with roommates since all the units had two bedrooms.
