"Sam, I need help," Justin said rapidly into the phone before she could even fully say 'hello.'

"What is it this time?" she asked boredly.

"What's a good idea for a date?"

He heard what sounded suspiciously like a chair falling over in the background. "WHAT?!" she screeched. "You're going on a date?! With who?! When did this happen? You never tell me anything anymore!"

Barring the Alexa incident, he briefly explained what had been going on recently. He and Emily had grown closer lately, he confessed his feelings, she was willing to give him a chance.

"She wants me to plan a date…I'm sure this is some sort of test so I can't screw it up," he explained. "You're good at this sort of thing, aren't you?"
