161 Holiday Cheer

Emily parked in the four-car garage—this was the first one she had ever seen; who needed a four car garage?!—and started bringing in the bags of Christmas decorations and the box that held the artificial Christmas tree she picked out. She only got stuff for the living room, kitchen, and entry room but since those rooms were all gigantic there were a lot of bags. Using Justin's card for purchases felt weird but he insisted since the stuff was for his house.

"Justin, I'm back! Could you help me carry in the tree?" she called as she set down the bags in the entry room.

It faintly echoed back at her. This place really was too huge for two people.

Cookie responded to her voice and came bounding down the stairs before rubbing against her ankles. She crouched down to pet him and he purred at the attention. She corrected her thought—this place was too huge for two people and one cat.
