149 Getting Some Answers

Emily's eyes narrowed. Justin seemed sincere…but she had been burned before.

"Out with it. Exactly how much money do you have?"

He had to think about it. "At this point? I haven't checked in a while…probably close to one hundred million."

She choked on her own spit. "That much?!"

"I told you I had nothing to spend it on," he said with the most nonchalant shrug she had ever seen. "My laundry folding machine is doing pretty well and I've got a day trader on my side."

Paying for her college tuition and car payments suddenly seemed like nothing at all. She would come back to that later.

"Is everything you told me about your life as RoboCat true?"

"Aside from trying to hide the fact that I already knew you, yes. Everything was my real thoughts, opinions, and stories."

As she suspected. Well, that was comforting.

"Is there anything else I should know?" she asked seriously.
