"What do you want?" Alexa asked crossly as they met up in a coffee shop, her body language clearly expressing annoyance.

"I want answers and I think you have them," Emily explained firmly.

The only way to get anywhere with Alexa was to not be a pushover. Watching her interactions with Justin made that fairly obvious.

"I do but why should I share them with someone who broke the heart of the sappiest person ever? Sam contacted me, you know. She warned me you might try to find me. That girl is surprisingly thorough. I like her," Alexa said with a shrug before frowning at her target.

"I really don't like you much these days. You and I both know that boy is an idiot when it comes to emotional things and you still didn't even give him a chance to explain."

"So you realize he was an idiot and still defend him?" Emily asked, her temper rising.
