1 The beginning of Nothing

Sam fell from the grand stone where she had been punished. It was all in her imagination. She was sweating profusely. "I'm glad I really didn't see such monsters in real life.. I would have been dead only by it's sight." She sighed. "I wish I can go out of this walls to see what it really looks like outside. Big brother's scary stories are kinda eating my mind up already..." She looked sour.

Sam is your average young girl of 15. She's smarter than the rest of her classmates. She's social at the same time, she'd not. She gets along with people well but never talks to them in a proper conversation. she runs away from such. She's the last child of 6 brothers. Her mom died when she was just 2 years old. She literally grew up in the House of men.

"Sam! Sam!!" Jakes calls snapping Sam out of her thoughts. she pretends not to hear him. "Being stubborn will lead you no where. Now get off that stone, your punishment is over for the day. Don't go running off to Chime Halls anymore or Father would be angry." Seeing her not moving an Inch, He moved closer and tugged her hair. "Stop it already!!" Sam disliked her hair being tugged. She never messes with her Curls. Hers has more curls than all the McKnights.

She gets off the stone frowning. She only left for a while pretending to go to the garden. she went to Chime Halls to see what the boys went there for before Jakes came looking for her. Jakes is 5th son of the family. "Humph..!! What do they think I am? a toy? I am capable of protecting myself!! Everything is said to keep me safe bla bla bla. I don't see what's outside there that can harm a daughter of the McKnights. What's wrong in wishing to just go out for once?" She looks out from her room balcony and sees her 2nd older brother Alex. They both share the strongest relationship in the Family and Sam only listens to him.

"Lex McKnight!! you have left me to suffer in the hands of your family members" She forced a frown while running towards him. Alex smiled at her "You'd never change. you keep receiving punishments. Anyways Big brother is back, No one can punish you now.." "What did you buy? May I see?" she looked at his hands keenly. He never came home without getting her stuff. She always looked forward to his coming.
