PUNISHMENT

I woke up at three o'clock in the morning to start cleaning the house. I started cleaning at the fifth floor of the house. The house is not dirty that much because the housemaids cleans it every day. I clean the comfort room first in every room then the public comfort room on the first floor. I remove the dusts on the table, figurines, picture frames, windows, etc. I polished the floor using vacuum cleaner then mopped the floor. After cleaning the whole house, I started cleaning outside. I watered the plants on the garden using the hose and clean the pool to change the water on the pool.

After cleaning the house, I cooked their breakfast and I took a bath immediately. I fixed myself hurriedly before I'll be late on school. When I went outside the house I saw tay waiting for me beside the car. I went to him and apologize for waiting me that long yet he just smiled at me.

It's been six days since I've been doing that, it's my daily routine for a week. When I arrived at the university, I walked hurriedly coz I don't want to be late on my class then Miks and Jenny walked beside me. "Good morning, Lou! Why do you look so exhausted?" Miks asked with a concern in her voice. "I'm just quite busy these past few days" I said and smile shyly. We bid goodbye with each other and separate our way to went our room to attend the class.

Maybe I really looked haggard that's why they noticed that I'm tired. Even though I'm used to doing the household chores yet my body seems new for it because it's difficult to add it on my hectic schedule in the university. I have to manage my time so well to do my punishment. Tomorrow is the last day of my punishment doing the household chores without the help of the housemaids.

After doing my home works at night I slept immediately because of tiredness. I didn't felt angry or something at them for being punished. Coz, I know there is someone out there having a worst situation than mine. There is someone who can't afford to study so they do a part time job to continue studying on school. The day past by so fast then my class are done now.

When I reached the parking lot of the university then I saw tay waiting at me beside our car. I saw my friends waiting for someone then Miks saw me. She called me to come near them so I looked at them again to sign that I will talk to tay first. I went tay to asked for permission to talked with my friends for a few minutes. "Tay, is it okay if I will talk at them for a few minutes?" I asked him and smiled shyly. "Okay, but make it fast so your parents won't be mad at us" he said and give me a nod.

I immediately went to them and smile. "Why are you always in hurry these past few days?" Jenny asked curiously. "Oh, I'm sorry! I'm just busy these past few days with so many things coz I have a hectic schedule at school. My parents gave me a curfew and they won't allow me to go out without our driver" I said shyly while smiling hesitantly.

"Oh, is that so? I'm sorry it looks like that your parents will be stricter because you break the rules" Gav said shyly. "It's okay! I really enjoy our hangout so no worries. I don't even regret that I broke the rules coz it's worth it" I said and smiled genuinely at them. "Where are guys going?" I asked them smiling. "Tagaytay, we will have an overnight at Kristoffe's family rest house there. We'll be back tomorrow night yet it seems that you can't join us" Arch said sadly. "Maybe next time, I can join you guys" I said with a smile on my face and I bid them goodbye coz I really need to go home immediately.

Before I went inside the car I wave them goodbye. Every time I went home from the university nay already cook dinner for us. She reasoned that I'm tired from school to cook dinner for us yet I make sure that I will be the one to wash the dishes. Even though they disagree yet I do everything so they won't help coz I don't want my parents to punish them because of me.

The moment I step inside my room I do my home works left before I become asleep because of tiredness. I wake up early and do my daily routine since day one of the punishment. After that I went to backyard to do my last task left it is washing the clothes. I ready the things I needed to do the laundry yet it won't be difficult for me because I will be using the washing machine and dryer. Then, I collected the unclean clothes in their room.

Before the lunch time I've done with laundry so I cooked our lunch immediately. My parents and my sister aren't here for business trip abroad so the other people will say that I don't need to do my punishment because they are not here. But, I chose to follow their commands because they are still my parents whatever happens, besides I need to do it for breaking rules for a few times. I know that nay and tay need to report to my parents if I did my punishment and I don't want them to lie for me. After washing the dishes then, I ironed the clothes and put them to their closets.

I went to my room and log in my Facebook account then I saw Miks tagged me at their uploaded pictures even though I'm not there. There are pictures when they stroll around the city last Friday night with the overlooking view of the city lights around the city. The view is so overwhelming and it is so heart breaking coz I didn't experience to see it in person. Also, there are pictures of them on the beautiful spots in Tagaytay looking so happy.

They are so lucky that they have the privilege to go wherever they want, yet I can't. I sighed because I just break the rules for a few times yet I have a lot of punishment. I'm wondering why the first time I came home late yet they didn't get mad coz it's impossible that they don't know it. But, I'm thankful that they didn't give me a punishment for that.
