1 New Beginnings

A howl erupted from my wolf inside my head.

"THAT'S HIM! THAT'S OUR MATE!!" She yelled.

I didn't care who he was, I didn't need anybody and I was fine with being alone. I ran out of the bar, quickly hauling a taxi. As soon as I rushed inside and it drove off, I looked back to see his deep blue eye still locked on me. As if he could see through the taxi. I ducked down in me seat, wishing that feeling would go away.

Well we're not at that part yet. Hehe, let's go all the way back to the beginning. Hey, my name is Faith and I am 22 years old. I am a powerful alpha who is known for killing many people who stepped in my path challenging my dominance. I own a pack full of females. There was a strict no male policy, only because all the males were dickwads who raped some of my females. I ripped their throats out for it.

My whole life, I've always been alone. I didn't have family or friends, only my beta, Star and my little sister, Hope.

"There's no point in associating myself with people who were just gonna leave me here, alone in this world", I always told myself. You may think I'm selfish but the truth is, I got tired of feeling pain.

Don't get me wrong! I appreciate everyone who was in my life to the very end of theirs, but it was no point in moping around feeling sorry for myself. Nobody has been through my pain, my trauma, my suffering. I struggled to get here and I am not going down without a fight.

My werewolf name is Goddess. She's helped me get to where I am now and I don't know what I would do without her. I'd probably be dead! She's a strong and powerful werewolf who leads me through every battle and always has my back. And here I am, laying my back on a tree thinking about how much my life sucks.

"Stop whining." Goddess snarled at me. Goddess was actually really sweet but she was tired of hearing me complain for the last hour. I rolled my eyes at her and looked up to see Hope running full speed ahead towards me. She was only 3.

"My Hopeeee~!" I said, stretching her name as I stood up with my arms opened. She ran right into them as I picked her up and spinned her in circles.

"Big swissyyy!" She squealed, laughing harder and harder each time I spun around. I stopped and brought her in for a hug. She giggled and hugged me back tightly. There's nobody I treasured more than Hope, I'd do anything for her.

"Can I play with her?" Goddess asked.

"Would you like to play with Goddess?" I asked Hope as she immediately started nodding her head yes. I put her down.

"Ok, turn around!" I said, getting my little sister excited. She loved playing with Goddess, they had their own bond. She turned around and I quickly undressed and gave Goddess access. My bones cracked into place and a golden fur rose from my neck.

Once Goddess was out she nuzzled Hope, making her turn around and giggle.

"Ride pwease?" Hope cheered as she asked Goddess. Goddess bent down to allow Hope to climb on her. Hope quickly climbed on Goddess hugging on tight to her soft fur. Goddess took off to the forest, Hope made sure to hold on tight every time we went running like this, Goddess was FAST. We loved taking in the scent of the forest. Nature, am I right?

This was something I adored doing. We spent a little bit more time running before going back for dinner. I shifted back and put my clothes back on.

"Come on." I held my hand out to the tired 3 year old. She grabbed my hand and we walked into the dining area where the last plates were being set and everybody began taking their seats at the table. As a pack, we all ate together. I sat Hope down in the chair next to me, and began fixing her a plate before I fixed mines. After that everybody began eating. The food was delicious as always.

I finished up and I thanked the ladies for the meal. Hope was done aswell so I took her to her room.

"Bath time." I told her. She rubbed her eyes and started getting undressed. I went into the bathroom and filled the bath tub up a little. Making sure the water was warm I called for Hope.

"Your water is done, Hope." Hope came rushing in and got into the tub. I grabbed the soap and began washing her softly. Once I was done I wrapped her into a towel and carried her to her closet.

"What pajamas do you wanna wear?" I asked her calmly. She pointed at a adorable onesie. I sat her down and got her dressed before I layed her down onto her bed. I knew she was tired because she didn't ask me for a bed time story, she just nodded right off. I took that opportunity to shower and then go check in on my beta.

(30 minutes later)

After taking a short shower and getting dressed I walked over to my beta's office. She was finishing up the last of paperwork.

"You ok?" I ask her.

"Yea I'm good." She replied. Maybe I should just let her work in peace.

"Ok, I'll let you work in peace." I tell her before walking back up to my room. I get into my bed and turn over, staring out the window before sleep consumes me.

"What a beautiful sight." I thought.

The next morning

RINGGGGGGG!! My alarm went. I groaned and threw my covers off of me. I had a meeting today. It was a priority for every alpha to be there and that included me. And looked over to see my suitcases already packed.

"Thank you, Star." I mind linked her as I smiled. I hopped up and quickly showered, throwing on some black leggings and a oversized hoodie.

"Have someone put my suitcases in the car and make sure Hope's suitcases are packed up and put into the car as well." I mind linked my beta once more. I rushed Hope's room to get her ready, to my surprise she was already ready. She was sleep, laying in her bed but dressed comfortably for the plane ride.

You might be wondering why she's coming with me but I've never been away from her. I trust my pack, they're strong females no doubt about it! But my little sister is my everything and I feel much better knowing she's under my protection and care. Otherwise me and Goddess would stress out! I picked her up carefully and carried her with me to the car.

"Ready?" Star asked.

"Yup!" I replied. Star also went with me on business trips to insure I was doing everything correctly and to give an extra hand. My females knew I had faith in them to protect our land and pack so they were never upset with me. We got settled into the car and headed straight to the airport which took about 15 minutes. As soon as we arrived, the driver loaded our bags onto the cart and made sure they got onto the plane safely.

Hope was still sound asleep. Me and Star boarded the plane, it was a private one owned by me of course. We sat down.

"You should rest up." I told Star. She worked very hard and I loved her deeply for it. We were childhood best friends and our parents were close. But then… the incident happened and we both changed. Star nodded and walked towards the back where there were two rooms.

I held Hope closely and starred outside. Watching the world beneath me. I smirked at the thought of people begging me for their lives, knowing they were beneath me and I was in charge. That I had power and strength like no other. And slowly I fell asleep, to my thoughts of being a ruthless alpha as if I wasn't ruthless already.

I woke up to Hope still asleep on my arms. Gosh she must have really been tired. I laid Hope down in the seat and walked to the room to check on my beta, Star, who was also sleep. I went back to my seat and pulled up the map to see how far we were. 25 mins till we land. Might as well catch up on some anime.

I spent the last 25 minutes watching anime. Once the plane finally landed I picked up Hope and went to go wake up my beta.

"Star, wake up!" I shook her. She got up and started rubbing her eyes.

"The plane landed." I informed her. She stood up and we all unboarded the plane.

"Hope still sleep?" She asked surprised like I was.

"Yeah, I guess she was really tired." I replied. We headed to the taxi waiting on us when we got there and made sure our bags was properly handled before we go inside.

"So we're heading to the hotel first and then we are free until the meeting tomorrow." Star reminded me.

"More time for me and Hope!" I smiled.

"Alpha.. I think you should take a break for a little, y'know? Let loose." Star said calmly.

"What do you mean, Star?" I asked curiously, knowing what she meant already.

"You've always been taking care of Hope you never have time for yourself!" She argued.

"I don't care." I grumbled at her.

"All I'm asking is that you take a break. Go to the bar for a little. I'll watch Hope. You need this!" Star continued to argue.

"I said no, drop it Star." Star gave me a glare, a glare that I knew very well. It meant she'd have her way one way or another.

(15 mins later)

It was 7:56pm now and Star was telling me how good I looked. I wore some dark blue jeans, a strapless leather black top and some black leather books to give it a finishing touch. My curly golden brownish hair curled up cutely to match.

"Are you sure Hope is gonna be ok?" I asked worriedly.

"Stop worrying! You deserve this break." She reassured me. I peaked over to see Hope watching cartoons peacefully before I grabbed my purse and walked out.

"Call me if anything happens! I'll be back soon!!" I reminded Star before I hopped into the waiting taxi and set off to the bar.

"This is so stupid." I thought to myself. As soon as I reached the bar I tipped the driver and walked inside. Chatter and laughs filled the place. It had a little oder to it but it was probably coming from the men who look liked they'd been here for a couple of days, maybe weeks! I walked up to the bar and took a seat.

"Two shots of tequila please." I requested. The bartender quickly brought out two shot cups and poured me two shots. I grabbed the first cup and gulped it down. Squeezing my eyes shut at how strong it was. And then the second one.

"Two more please." I told the bartender. Gulping them down faster and faster. I handed the bartender 150 dollars before I wobbled to the dance for and started dancing next. It was full of drunk people or creepy sober men. I felt a pair of eyes staring deep into my back. I turned around and locked eyes with a deep blue pair of eyes.

"MATE…" Goddess screamed in my head. A howl erupted from my wolf inside my head.

He was a taller bulk man. He looked strong. He wore a black tux like he had just came from work. I couldn't smell him because of all the other smells intruding my nose. Goddess was upset with me, because I had ran away from our mate. I didn't need anybody and that included him.

"Fuck the mate bond!" I thought. But that came biting me right back in the ass the next day.
