You can go back to your room now." Fei Hong ordered her who was trying her best to look inside and at that girl.

"Yes."

Not wanting to go away from there, the girl again tried looking inside the room only to get a glare from Fei Hong. She put her head down as she stepped back and then finally went away from there.

As soon as she left, Fei Hong went directly to Princess Xiao Chen's room with Chao Xing following her.

She knew now that no one could see her so she went right beside her easily.

Soon both reached Princess Xiao Chen's room. Chao Xing was standing just beside Fei Hong when she stood there a little distance from Princess Xiao Chen.

"Your highness!" Fei Hong bowed as she started explaining to her the event which happened some time ago, "A maid had a fight with another maid today. The girl died after being hit by the vase but I found something unusual."

Princess Xiao Chen herself wasn't sure if the girl really died or not but she had just assumed it looking at the girls situation that she might be dead

"There were torn pieces of a bag besides the vase and some powder-like thing was also there on the floor. I asked Doctor Wang to take a look at it."

Princess Xiao Chen narrowed her eyes,"What? How can she die by only getting hit by some vase? I am sure there is something more to it."

"Yes! Something was there in the vase too but the girl who hit it was there before this event except the one who got hit. She went there even before I told them to go there for cleaning. I was told this by one of your maids." Fei Hong explained further.

Princess Xiao Chen thought for a second before turning back towards a maid who was standing just beside her chair,"Is she the same girl?"

"Yes! I saw her there some time ago and told Fei Hong about it. Both of the girls had been acting suspicious for a long time." The girl who was standing beside Princess Xiao Chen said.

Fei Hong heard that and hurriedly explained herself so that she wouldn't get scolded by Princess Xiao Chen, "I thought they went there to clean….."

"Didn't I tell you both to be attentive and keep an eye on all the girls."Princess Xiao Chen angrily said and gave a glare to both of them.

Fei Hong bowed her head down more and hurriedly said, "It was all my mistake, your highness. I will be more attentive from now on."

At that Princess Xiao Chen replied with an authoritative voice, "You should be."

"The girl was actually from a noble family so I couldn't say much to her." Fei Hong defended herself.

At that time girls from noble families got recruited as palace servants so that they could get the prince's attention and the girl who gets favoured by the prince would eventually end up marrying him.

Thinking for a While Princess Xiao Chen again added, "Where is the girl who hit her?"

Fei Hong pulled her head up a little as she replied, "I don't know yet who she is but I think it might be one of the two new servants bought from the slave market who went there with her."

"Go ask the other girl who was the one who hit her and bring her to me. For the time being we need to put all the blame on her until we find the real person sent by the empress who is helping these girls here in the palace. Keep an eye on the other girl; she will be the one taking us to him."

Xiao Chen had this planned long ago. She was just waiting for them to make a move so she could get to the real one.

"Yes, your highness!"

With that Fei Hong bowed and went out of there.

Chao Xing was standing there and heard them all.

"Oh! So they knew all along. They put all the blame on me on purpose and locked me up on purpose."

Rolling her eyes she ran after Fei Hong to check what she was up to now. Fei Hong went to the library again.

"Doctor Wang! What happened?" She asked as she stepped inside the room.

"Yes, I just checked, she is dead." Doctor Wang stood up from the floor.

He was an elderly man with a long grey beard. Being the royal imperial doctor he wasn't cold or strict but instead always had a smile on his face.

'I was right.' Fei Hong thought as she again heard him saying as he smiled at her, "Yes you were right!"

Smiling made his face look brighter. The wrinkles on the side of his eyes when he smiled gave him a different polite charm.

"These pieces also have traces of that poison." Doctor Wang added as he pushed his hand forward in front of Fei Hong.

He had a transparent bag in his hand in which some torn pieces of that little bag were kept.

"The poison is of a special kind; it gets absorbed in the skin as soon as it touches the skin. I think when the vase broke the poison inside it touched her skin on the side of her head and got into her causing her to die at the very instant." Doctor Wang explained to Fei Hong looking directly at her.

"Thank you, Doctor Wang. I hope you will keep the things between us. No one else knows about this event."

"Don't worry, child. I will be going now and you should too. Remember not to touch her."

With that doctor Wang went out of there with his wooden box which probably had his instruments which he used.

Fei Hong looked back only to see the girl who was with the girl who died. Stepping out of the room, Fei Hong asked,"Who hit her?"

At that the girl pointed towards Chao Xing who was standing at a distance away from them....
