7 Chapter 7. We Met Again
CD's POV
I laid down on my bed. I just got home. I watched the wall clock, and it's already eight in the evening.
I heard my phone beeped. Someone texted me. I lazily got up and took my phone on my side table. The text came from LDF.
From: LDF
Don't think too much LDF. Sleep early because you will gonna tour me tomorrow. Good Night! By the way, you're cute and pretty to your outfit and no one recognized you. Keep up the good work for disguising. Hahaha XD
I laughed and put my phone back on the side table. He introduced me as a Chain, but they never mentioned that my name was familiar and I was thankful for that.I laid down again. I couldn't believe that this day.. Jeez! Whatever! What a day! I met him, and what surprised me the most was that his mother is Tita P. Oh God! I faced palmed. It's a small world after all. He changed a lot, his height, his face and his body. He's too handsome and hot. I winced . So what if he is handsome Chain? What will be happened? My mind asked.
Of course, nothing! I don't care about him anymore. I stood up and changed my clothes. I sighed.
But I couldn't deny the fact that he was observing me. It's very obvious, and I know his girlfriend noticed it. Tss! The hell I care. After I changed my clothes, I went to my bed and laid down again. I closed my eyes, but my mind was still wide awake. My phone suddenly rang. I opened my eyes and took my phone on the side. I saw an unknown number flashed on my phone screen.
I frowned. Should I answered it? My instinct told me to answer the phone and yes, I tapped the answer button.
"Hello?" I greeted with a question mark hello.
["Hi! Is this Chain?"]
I frowned again. The caller was a boy and his voice was not that familiar.
"Yes, speaking. Who the hell is this?"
Ladies and gentlemen, I am the cold hearted chinita. Brat mode on!
["Woah! Easy Chain. This is Liam"]
Oh. Liam, the interviewer earlier. I rolled my eyes as if he saw me.
"What can I do for you Liam?" I said in a serious tone
["I just wanna ask you if I can come with you tomorrow? I know, you'll gonna tour your LDF"]
He knew? I cleared my throat.
"I thought you will go back to Manila tomorrow?"
I just heard their conversation earlier that's why I knew.
["I cancelled my flight. Since my friends will be staying here more, then I will be staying too. I hope you will gonna allow me. Please?"]
He sounded like a kid. I rolled my eyes again.
"Answer me first, who the hell gave you my number?"
["Don't get mad at him okay? I'm the one who insisted to get your number. I got from your LDF"]
I sighed. "Okay" I said. I don't want to argue anymore. It's LDF.
["What do you mean by okay?"]
I "Okay means you can come with us" I said in bored tone, as if I have a choice, right?
["Really? Thanks a lot Chain. By the way, you're a good singer"]
I stiffed. I remembered what happened in the party.
*Flashback*
"But did you meet? At least for once"
"Of course" I answered
LDF looked at me. I saw his eyes saying "Don't mind him"
I secretly laughed. He was nervous, it should me be, not him, but I never felt nervous in answering their questions.
"Excuse me everyone! Can I have your attention please?"
We looked at who was talking in front of us. Its Tita P's husband holding a microphone.
"First of all, I wanna say thank you to all people who came to celebrate the Capiztahan Festival Fiesta here in our house"
We clapped our hands.
"But anyway, we all know that the Fiesta is a traditional event of Filipinoes here in the Philippines. So, in order to be unique, I will be going to pick one name in a fishbowl, for all to know, all visitors name are here in the fishbowl. If I picked your name, you will going to perform here"
Many people were cussing because of the announcement of Mr. Palanca.
"But of course, I hope, there are no KJ's here. We will just gonna have fun and the prize of that lucky performer will depend on him/her, he/she can name his/her prize. My sweetheart and I will give it"
And the cussing of people getting louder because of Mr.Palanca announced. So if I requested a yacht, they will give it? Not bad.
"Palanca! Your dad is so cool! You are very rich! I hope he will pick my name" Marvin said to KM
"Okay. I will pick the name now" Mr. Palanca said while he took one rolled paper on a fish bowl.
I'm confident that my name wouldn't be called. Why? Because every time we have recitation when I was in college, my name was not always called that's why I was thankful.
"The one who will perform in front of us is no other than" he open the rolled paper and, "It's CD!" he announced.
Okay. It was not me, see? It's CD and I don't even know who she is. I suddenly stopped thinking.
W-What?! CD? CD?CD?
I looked to LDF, and he was looking at me. Oh no! It's me? Damn it! It was really me!!!
"Who's CD? Please raise your hand" Mr. Palanca
"Honey, it's my special visitor. CD, please raise your hand so that people could recognize you" Tita P
I cursed. No way! This was the totally a bad day for me! Why is it that my heart wanted to get out? Damn. I was nervous!
"Ielle, raise your hand" LDF whispered
I nodded and slowly raised my right hand.
"Oh! There she is. CD, come here"
Many people were looking at me, including him. I stood up and went to Tita P.
"Hi CD! So, what talent did you bring?" Mr. Palanca asked
I faked a smile. I can't believe that I was here in front of all the people, I can't understand this heart beat of mine. I just felt that my heart will gonna explode anytime right now. I breathe hard.
"I-I'm going to sing Mr. Palanca" I answered stammering
"Call me Tito P, CD"
Just like Tita P? Seriously what's with the one letter?
"O-okay Tito P"
Hi Lord, could you please get me now? Many people were looking at me, and I don't want them to recognize me, I hope they will not listen to my song. Jeeez. I wanna go home.
"Are you going to sing acapela?"
I cleared my throat.
"Ahm. Do you have a guitar? I can play" I said
"Oh. Yes, we have. JK, get your guitar" Tita P
Then, he suddenly went to his room and he gave his guitar to me. I didn't look at him. What for? Argh!
"So, ladies and gentlemen, CD" Tito P said and they gave me around of applause. Tss! What's this? A concert? Tss! Chea, just play and sing, so that you can go home for real.
I tuned the guitar first in the standard tune and I started to strum the guitar.

"You can go back to your seat CD" Tita P
I went back and sat down without looking at them even to LDF, you know I was so shy because I sang the song so emotional. Damn it!
"Chain, you're very amazing. Many boys are looking at you. It's like that they want to court you" Kelvin
"Yes, I agree" Dos
"So, do you have a boyfriend?" Kelvin asked.
"Ha? Boyfriend?" I laughed. "Love life is not part of my life Kelvin, I have no time to play with their games" I said and smirked
"Well, smart girl" Dos
"Thank you" I said proudly. "By the way, I'm going home. There's someone waiting for me" I said and stood up
"Suitor?" Liam
I smiled.
"Chain, do you want me to escort you to the gate?" LDF offered.
"I can handle it LDF, besides I'm going to get permission to Tita P. So, bye everyone. Nice meeting you all. Bye LDF, see you tomorrow?"
"Yes. See you. Take care" LDF retorted.
"I will. Bye" I said
"Wait!" Liam
"Yes?"
"Where are you going tomorrow?"
"Chan, it's none of your business" Dos
"Hmm. You like CD Chan?" Kelvin asked
"I'm just asking CD, Lee" Liam
"Stop! Eille, go ahead" LDF said with an irritated voice
I laughed and nodded.
End of Flashback
"Hey Chain! Still there?"
"H-ha? Y-yeah. I'm still here. I feel sleepy, you know. Tired because of the party"
"Okay. Is that so? Good Night Chain. So, see you tomorrow?"
"Yeah. See you. Bye!"
"Bye!"
I ended the call. Now, what? You saw him again Chea, you saw him again after five years.
Is the wound totally healed by the time? What if, damn the what ifs, I will tell Tita P and Tito P that my prize will be, they will send their son to U.S? But, it looks like I have something for KM? For sure they will ask me. Nah! I shook my head.
Don't mind him Chain. You have an appointment tomorrow and it's time to sleep. Yeah. I have one week and three days more before I go back to Manila. What if we will meet again? What will happen? Chea, what now?! Sleep! Tss!
