1 The Beginning

She woke up tired, but willing to get up. She glanced at the clock, it was 7:00. She stretched and sat up. Tiredly and slowly, she managed to get out of bed. On the way to her dresser, she gets a glimpse of her in the mirror. Long frizzy brown hair, tired droopy blue eyes, freckles on her cheeks, and tiny scars on her forehead. She was Amber. Amber randomly picked out her clothes and put them on. She wore a pinkish purple shirt with an owl that her best friend gave her. Amber went into the bathroom, brushed her hair and teeth, and went back to her room, grabs some socks and her sneakers and puts them on. She looks over at her bed to see her headphones and phone. She quickly grabs them and goes into the living room. She packs her backpack and puts it over her shoulder. She turns on her headphones and listens to music. She goes outside with her mom following her in her robe. They get into the car and drive off to the school. Once Amber got to the entrance of the middle school, she hesitated to put her headphones and phone in her backpack. As her mother was about to stop the car, Amber got her backpack on with her headphones and phone inside. She got out of the car and to the front door of the school. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
