"Ten votes for us to take No Action, and twenty votes for us to take action." My father announced as we cheered at the results.

It seemed that more leaders were worried and wanted to make sure that their people were kept safe rather than risk the safety of their people.

"Alpha Matthew!" Jason suddenly said as he stood up next to me.

"Yes, Alpha Jason?" My father asked, confused as to what my mate was doing.

'What are you up to, Jason?' I asked him. I didn't know my mate too well yet to guess what he was planning, but based on my knowledge of this man, he didn't like standing on the sidelines.

'Don't worry, love, I won't do anything that will take me away from you.' Jason said as he tried to calm my worries.

I calmed a little bit down when Jason told me that he wasn't going to volunteer, but I still couldn't help but be worried that he was going to do something my father wouldn't like.
