20 GREAT LOVE

"Finally you guys came in." Sage said as she rolled her eyes at us and waved for a waiter to take our orders.

"Yeah, I was so jealous about how sweet and close the two of you have gotten." Ashley pointed out as she pouted at me.

"You don't even know him yet." I grumbled.

"He's your mate, he will love you and care for you. If he doesn't we will come over and beat him up." Sage said with a shrug as I shook my head and pulled Jason towards the empty seats my friends had left for us.

Jason laughed at Sage's words and shook his head.

"Don't worry, I will love and cherish her always." Jason said as he looked lovingly at me.

"Awwww. . .I want that!" Ashley gushed as I tried to hide the blush that was forming on my cheeks. Why was I acting like some teenage girl again?

"Won't you introduce us?" Sage demanded.

"Right." I said as I tried to compose myself.

"Jason, these are my best friends, Ashley Wilson, she's the daughter of my father's beta, and Sage Collins, she's the daughter of my father's head warrior." I said as I introduced my two friends.

"It's an honor to meet you, Alpha Jason." My two friends said as they gave him a slight bow.

"Please, just call me Jason. You are both friends of my mate." Jason said in a kind tone, making me smile.

I was impressed that he was willing to let my friends call him by his first name. Most Alphas wouldn't allow that.

Ashley and Sage simply smiled and nodded at Jason.

They were quick to make friends with him as well as to tell him about my most embarrassing moments growing up.

I was glad to see that they were getting along quite well with Jason. It would have been a disaster if they hadn't.

"You guys need to go back." Ashley said after suddenly spacing out.

"Oh, what time is it?" I asked as I picked up my phone and checked the time. Ashley was right, I still needed to get ready for the party tonight.

"Yeah, your brother told me you might be a little bit distracted that's why he mindlinked me." Ashley said with a grin as I shook my head.

"It was a pleasure meeting you ladies." Jason said with a smile as he got up and offered me his hand.

I smiled and took it as I waved goodbye to my friends.

As we walked back to the packhouse, I felt Jason reach out and hold my hand.

"You don't need to hold my hand every time, you know." I told him as we climbed the incline back to the packhouse.

"I know, but I want everyone around to see that you are mine and I am yours." Jason said as he continued to look forward.

I couldn't help but smile as it eased the jealousy that was brewing inside me.

I was not blind to all the looks he was getting from the women as we passed. Jason was good to look at, add to that the fact that he was one of the most powerful Alphas in the world.

His power and his looks drew women to him, I couldn't blame him for that. But the fact that he wanted to show everyone that he was taken and soon to be mated made me extremely happy.

We quickly made it back to the packhouse, ignoring all the jealous glares coming from both male and female wolves alike.

I knew that most male wolves didn't want me to be their mate since I was a difficult woman to reign in. But the position I held and the blood that flowed through my veins were worth more to some wolves than their own pride.

As we made our way back to our room, we bumped into my mom and dad who were seemingly headed somewhere.

"I thought you were moving to Jason's room?" My dad asked as he gave us a questioning look. "Don't tell me you are just about to move?"

"Actually, sir, I decided to simply move up here." Jason told my father, surprising him and my mother.

"Wow, that's not something I would have expected from you, Jason." My mother said with a tender look in her eyes.

"I would do anything for my Amaya, ma'am." Jason said as he looked at me with his dark eyes, turning me soft in his arms.

Someone coughed, breaking our moment. I wasn't sure if it was my mom or dad, but it seemed that we had been lost in each other's eyes for quite a while.

"We'll let you get ready then." Mom said with a gentle smile as she dragged my father towards the elevator.

When they were finally out of earshot I smiled and sighed.

"I want a relationship like theirs." I absentmindedly said out loud.

"I will do my best to give you a love just as great or even greater than theirs." Jason told me as he placed a kiss on my head and pulled me to our room.
