1 'Room For Rent?!'

As I open the door, I immediately smell our lunch for today. This smells good!!! I place my bag and shopping bag to sofa and goes to kitchen where I found my Mom stirring the soup with ladle.

"Mom? I'm here"

"Oh, come here and taste this Sinigang! We have a visitor today!!!" She said excitedly. Who is this visitor that makes my mom act like a teenager??

I erased my thoughts as she called me to taste her soup. I picked a spoon and taste the soup that she cooked.

"Hmm... pretty good mom!!" I love the sourness of this!! Oh geez can't wait to eat this!

"Really?! Wish our 'dear' visitor likes this!"

Okay this is getting out of hand... Who is this 'dear' visitor. And take Note! She uses 'dear'!! How unusual. As I thinking who is this 'dear visitor' and how unusual my mom is I tried to ask her.

"Mom, you're acting weird... Why putting dear in our guest? Who might that be?" I began to asked her after I put the spoon on sink. She smiles to me as she turn off the electrical stove.

"Well my dear honeyyy just dress well for today and wear make-up!!!" She said as she pushing me out of kitchen. As I step out of the door I can't help but roll my eyes. This visitor might be important 'coz mom wants me to wear make-up geez. I picked up my stuff at sofa and goes to my room.

Well everytime we have some important guest, my mom keep saying that i need to wear make-up and girly outfit. She was not trying to sell me or anything!! But I think this is because of my face...

My mom and I don't really look a like. That they even mistaken as as siblings when we were out to shopping. I throw my stuff in bed and picked up the mirror on the one night stand. I touched my skin that looks like a matured 'wahman'. This might be a bit exaggerating but I really looked like that. Even my family said that to me. That I don't do skin care like my bro and mom does.

Yes my bro, he is like mom who prioritize their skin. They were like two peas in one pod because of that. As I put the dress I brought online, I began to think our 'dear visitor'. My mom rarely call someone like that.
