The screen of her phone went dark as she closed the novel app, her fingers still trembling with excitement. She had just finished rereading it for the twentieth time and it was just as spicy as ever.

"Ahhh!!" she squealed, rolling on her bed and kicking her legs like a schoolgirl with a crush. "It's so damn HOT!!"

Her heart was still pounding from the last scene where the innocent bunny shifter was pinned against the wall by the cold, ruthless alpha wolf. The way Ronan growled into his ear, the possessiveness in his icy blue eyes, the way he claimed his bunny so aggressively...

She grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.

"This is ART."

And speaking of art—her eyes darted to the date on her phone.

"Oh crap, it's time!"

The limited edition picture book for the novel was being released today! Including never-before-seen illustrations, extra smut scenes, and a gorgeous full-colour character spread. It was practically a BL Bible, and she NEEDED it.

Throwing on a hoodie, she grabbed her purse and dashed out the door. It was 4 AM, but dedication required sacrifice. The store opened at 9 AM, and she was going to be first in line, dammit.

"Just imagine… A full-page illustration of Ronan pressing the bunny up against the wall…" she whispered to herself, shivering in delight. "And the way his hands—"

She never finished the thought.

Because the last thing she heard was the loud HONK of a truck before—

BANG.

She woke up to an unfamiliar ceiling.

A white, sterile ceiling.

"…Huh?"

She blinked. She was alive? That was weird. The last thing she remembered was being flattened like a pancake.

"Maybe I'm in a hospital..." She thought, pushing herself up. But something felt weird.

Something was… Off. Very off...

Her entire body felt strange. Her limbs were heavier, her shoulders broader. And worst of all...

There was something poking out of her.

"…What the hell?"

She cautiously lifted the blanket and peeked down.

Silence.

Then—

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!"

She threw herself off the bed, crashing onto the floor. Her hands shot between her legs, patting wildly.

It was there.

It was real.

It was attached to her.

"I have a DICK?!"

Her mind short-circuited. What. The. Actual. FUCK.

She scrambled to her feet, heart pounding like... Well pounding like how Ronan had pounded E- *bleep*

Frantically, she scanned the room for a mirror. Her heart pounded as she spotted a tall, ornate mirror in the corner.

With a racing pulse, she staggered over, dreading what she'd see.

And then—

She froze.

Staring back at her was a man.

A man with messy black hair, sharp green eyes, and a face that was stupidly good-looking. He had broad shoulders, strong arms, and a firm, toned chest that screamed 'dangerous but sexy'.

He blinked.

She blinked.

He lifted a shaking hand to his head.

His fingers brushed against the soft, furry tips of WOLF EARS.

"...No."

She grabbed her face.

"No. No no no NO—"

Her hands slid down her chest, over her abs, down her—

She jerked away from the mirror like it burned her.

"I'M A GUY?!" Her voice came out hoarse... And husky... She found herself hot right now, but confusion still filled her mind.

Her legs gave out and she crumbled to the floor.

"Wait, wait, wait—" Her mind was racing. The tail, the ears, the unnatural handsomeness—this wasn't just any body. 

A soft knock at the door pulled her from her spiral of despair.

She had barely had time to process what had happened—one moment, she was geeking out over her favorite BL novel, and the next, she woke up in a completely different body with wolf ears, a tail, and—

She swallowed. That other thing.

She wasn't ready to unpack all of that just yet.

The door creaked open, and a delicate figure stepped inside. A young woman dressed in a maid uniform, her soft brown hair neatly braided, her posture straight and professional—if not a little rigid.

At first glance, she looked normal, but something nagged at the back of her mind.

"Time to get up, young master," the maid said curtly.

She opened her mouth to say who the hell are you?—but the words never came. Instead, she froze.

There was something off.

The woman was a bunny shifter, she could tell from the faint scent of prey that lingered around her. But there was no sign of her animal features—no ears, no tail.

Unlike her.

Her own black-furred wolf ears twitched as her tail gave an involuntary flick.

The realisation hit her like a truck—her second truck-related disaster in less than 24 hours.

Wait. If she's a bunny shifter, but she looks fully human… And I have ears and a tail even in human form…

Something uncomfortable churned in her stomach.
